Good, but some disappointing dishes - Edit
The smoothie bowls are great here in my experience. The burgers leave much to be wished for. The Buddha bowls are good but not amazing. I will continue to come back but really wish they would improve (and start making real sweet potato fries...:( ).

Delicious breakfast - Edit
I’ve been craving for a good tofu scramble for weeks now and that place didn’t disappoint me. The flavors were great, the bread tasty (and I’m german so you can’t make me happy with ‘toast‘) maybe a bit messy but you can clean up your plate with chopsticks later on. The lemon juice was the tastiest I’ve had so far, was really intense. If you’re looking for western food especially for breakfast lunch then that’s your place.

Pretty good, a little too healthy for me - Edit
I was craving a burger and fries so we decided to check this place out. Ordered the jackfruit burger and got the sweet potato fries added, also a fresh lime juice, all up it was 150k, kinda standard for western vegan food here. The jackfruit burger (with a hipster charcoal bun) was actually really delicious. The flavours were great and it was a decent size. However, this is probably the messiest meal I have ever had to eat. The jackfruit slides out of the crispy bun and you’re constantaly using the chop sticks to poke the jackfruit back in or scrape it back onto the over flowing plate. Definitely do not recommended going here and ordering that on a first date, luckily for me my girlfriend already knows I’m a disgusting eater so all was well. Lime juice was great, staff were friendly. Chips however were not good. I don’t know if this was part of the healthy thing but they were drier than the Sahara and looked like they had never seen oil. Would not recommend the chips unless you’re into that kind of thing. Overall I would go here again, most of it tasted great and all of the food that comes out is definitely “insta worthy” until of course you try eat it

Tasty - Edit
I liked a lot the falafel pita and all the ingredients were fresh and tasty! Also the yoga & shine juice was delicious (they served it in a glass bottle which you can keep it😄 it’s just a little bit expensive.

fantastic concept - Edit
This place has nothing but good intentions. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the food. It was pricey too, which didn't help. It is real healthy Food, think raw, bowls etc. Not for me, but if you're in the area you should try it and make up your own mind.

Taste of Buddah Danang - Edit
Rainbow Buddah Bowl was splendid. The Passion fruit, banana, pineapple, and fresh coconut milk was the best tasting combo I ever tasted in a smoothie.

Not good taste - Edit
I ordered the falafel bowl with pita bread and a choc cake.
Read moreThere was like 3 ingredients in my bowl so not much content at all! The hummus wasn't edible because it was soooo salty. The falafel balls were edible but not great. The choc cake was edible but wasnt that nice either. The pita bread was really nice.
Staff were OK, no one acknowledged me when I walked in though so just got my own menu and table as the staff were playing on their phones or joking with each other.
Over all,I wouldn't go here again, there are way nicer Vietnamese vegan places .
Cons: Expensive for food you cant eat because its so bad, The tofu feta cheese was just tofu, Portion size is tiny for what you pay, bad service

Waste of time - Edit
I really wanted to love this place and give a great review. Was super excited to go here, went with my boyfriend at 4pm to eat so it wasn't busy at all, they had 3-4 other customers tops while they were 4 people in the kitchen. We ordered summer rolls, sweet potato fries and then a bowl each (my partner ordered some bread with his bowl as well) + a milkshake and a juice. My juice arrived, then we waited *40 minutes* before the rolls and fries came! Other customers came and left, still no milkshake, bowls or bread. Finally his bowl came, and assuming my bowl would be ready soon after he waited. And waited.....he went to ask for the rest of our order, then he got the bread. He ended up eating alone while I was still waiting for my food. Had to ask for my food again. Meanwhile the people in the kitchen were texting on their phones, talking and definitely not preparing food. *75 minutes* we waited in total and FINALLY my bowl and his milkshake came out of the kitchen. I guess now it makes sense why you have to pay the bill before you eat! It sucks that they don't care about customer service, especially when you pay so much money to eat there. Such a waste of time, would definitely not recommend, and I will not be coming back.

Expensive but Tasty - Edit
Was listed as the 'highest rated' vegan restaurant in Da Nang so we went over, and it was quite good - the quality is undeniable.
Read moreStaff were friendly, service was quick, and overall it was tasty.
However, the serving size was quite small. If you're someone like me, who needs significant portions to fill up, expect about 2/3 of the size you'd think for the price.
Pros: High Quality Vegan Food, Friendly Staff, Close to most touristy stuff near the beaches
Cons: Small Portions, A bit expensive compared to local options

AMAZING BOWLS - Edit
I can't get enough of Root's Mediterranean Bowl. The falafels inside are to die for and the bowl is filling without feeling bad for yourself. Healthy, yummy, and filling...what more could you ask for? Sometimes I even add a side of pita bread (because I just love bread that much), and the pita bread is perfectly soft and crunchy. The service is also great and welcoming. So glad we have this amazing spot in Da Nang!

I would keep myself rooted in Roots - Edit
I can't keep myself away from Roots more than a couple days at a time. It's a cool little vegan restaurant with tons of options ranging from salad bowls, to tofu scrambles, to smoothie bowls. It's connected to an awesome bar/coffee shop and if you come along for dinner you can treat yourself to one of the best cocktails in Da Nang (which are not nearly as expensive as any of the high end resorts whose quality pales in comparison).

Great Food, unfortunate staff attitude - Edit
Enjoyed most of my first meal there quite a bit, for lunch had the Jackson Burger with jackfruit which is quite tasty. Fries were cold. The noodle dish was just average. So, then I went back for dinner the next night. Ordered my food at the counter and was asked to pay. I had no problem with this, but pointed out to the lady who was "helping" me that yesterday we paid after our meal. She said, "We don't do that anymore". I said, "So the policy changed in the last 24 hours?" Again, not a big deal, but she seemed to be in a bad mood and not thrilled with customers, so that's why I inquired, wondering if she was just giving me attitude. She said it was because I had been at lunch and they have a different policy for dinner. OK. Whatever. The food was very very good, so who cares. Buddha bowl with quinoa, rice, guacamole, beets, cashews (nice touch!), and also ordered the charcoal burger. I couldn't help but notice how annoyed this particular lady seemed. She was the manager on duty and just seemed to be very unhappy. It even looked like she was snarling at each new customer that came in, like we were bothering her with our presence. When the food arrived the server or the wind accidentally knocked the top of the bun off the burger and it landed on the table. She tried to wipe it off with a napkin and put it back on! I told her No, I'd like another one. She took it back and as I was seated only about 10 feet from the counter I could see that this Bun Controversy was really [censored] off the grumpy manager. I got up and went over and asked if there was a problem. The lady was acting like I was in the wrong! It was truly remarkable. The server came out a bit later and sweetly apologized saying that it would take a long time for them to cut a new half bun...I'm sure there was some sort of translation problem, but nevertheless, they refused to make my burger whole. The bun was not important, but the way it was handled definitely was. The customer apparently is NOT always right at Roots. I would give the food 4 carrots but the lady in charge totally ruined the dining experience. For this reason alone I shall never return and cannot recommend this place. Way to lose a great PAYING customer! Over half a BUN! Wow. Guess they don't need our business.
