Outstanding!

The best fake fish I’ve ever tried, chips cooked to perfection and lovely staff. I can’t wait to go again so I can try the cod.

Pros: All vegan menu, Generous portions

Delicious

I had the ‘haddock’ and chips and it was so tasty.
The lady who served me was very friendly. I had to wait about ten minutes for my fish to be ready but it was definitely worth the wait.
I’ll definitely be going back.

Pros: So tasty, Fully vegan , Lovely staff

Decent vegan fish n chips

Very decent fish and chips. I got the regular cod and chips with a side of tartar sauce. There’s a 5% gratuity fee added which brought the total up to just over £13

Great ‘fish’, even better chips

Had the cod and chips with tartare sauce and curry sauce. All of it was delicious. I’d say the cod isn’t how I remembered cod in terms of texture but it tasted great. The triple-cooked chips were standout. So much better than the often greasy, soggy chips you get from a regular chippy. The curry sauce was excellent and complemented the chips perfectly.

As for portion size, I’m usually a massive gannet (nickname: ‘the human dustbin’) and felt full (in a good way) even 7 hours after having had the regular cod and chips, to the extent that I ended up having a really light dinner.

Pros: Totally vegan with plenty of choice, Nice vibe, Friendly staff

Cons: Could do with more tables to eat in, More choice of drinks would be nice

Absolutely blown away

We were genuinely shocked at how great the fish and chips were. I've never really been a fan of vegan fish alternatives so wasn't sure if it would be my thing, but quite honestly this could be the best food I've had in Brighton. We went as a group of 4 and the two non-vegans were equally impressed by their food.

I had the regular Vegan Cod & Chips with mushy peas on the side. Perfection. 100% will be back.

Pros: Best vegan fish I've tried, Loads of different options , Friendly staff

Onion and garlic and gluten free options!

Honestly, going to No Catch for the first time was very exciting for myself and my life-long veggie friends. It really does feel like the real deal! The menu has a good selection of options and the “fish” really is good, and quite convincing! The chips are super chunky, the portions are large (even the regular is more than enough) and there’s a range of sauces to choose from. Plus the staff are friendly and it’s got a nice vibe.

Only downside is that the food is quite oily and sits quite heavily on the stomach (thrice fried chips) although that’s probably to be expected. Fish and chips was never meant to be healthy, eh? A massive added bonus is the gluten-free option, which doesn’t contain any onion or garlic (for you Hare Krishnas/Jains/Buddhists/Toaists out there).

Pros: Gluten-free options, Big portions, NHS and student discounts

Cons: A bit too oily

Highly Impressive

In addition to the fantastic cod and calamari, the chips were lovely, as were the mushy peas and the tartare sauce. This was an amazing experience from start to finish , especially as it was my first ever vegan restaurant meal! Top marks. Thank you so much.

Excellent food

I had decided before I arrived that I wanted fish and chips for lunch. This is a nice place just across the road from the beach. A seaside town that doesn’t make you feel left out as a vegan. I got chips, tofish and the prawns. The chips were thick and crispy. I loved the tofish, perfect flavour and texture and the prawns were good as well. There is space to sit inside. The staff member serving was absolutely lovely. It would be a regular thing if I lived in Brighton

All vegan fish and chip shop - what’s not to like?

We love this place. The vegan fish and chips are delicious. They also offer just about every option you would find at a standard fish and chip shop - battered saveloy, battered prawns, mushy peas etc etc.
The restaurant looks lovely, prices are reasonable and portions are big. Service is always friendly.
A highlight of Brighton’s vegan scene.

Pros: All vegan , Everything is delicious , Lovely service

Perfect

I had food from this company at a vegan festival and it was SO good, I made a note to visit them in Brighton some day. Well, that day came, and I was not disappointed. A lovely little place, nicely decorated, super friendly, happy and helpful staff and delicious food. Worth the wait!!

Highly recommend

The staff are really lovely and the Tofish is the best vegan fish I’ve had!
I tried calamari, popcorn prawns and tofish bites with chips, all were good. I would most recommend the Tofish bites as they’re fantastic, popcorn prawns are very nice but potentially could have a little more seasoning or spice to them, the calamari is also very nice but would be boring without a dip. Chips are also a winner.

Although not as cheap as a regular fish and chip shop the atmosphere is nice, the portions are generous and the young lady working while I visited was really nice.

Definitely stop by to try it out if you’re by the beach

Pros: Best imitation fish I’ve had, Nice staff, Good portion sizes

Cons: Small range of drinks , Extra sauces are charged

Great fish, the rest is okay.

The fish is absolutely gorgeous but the rest of the food is quite overpriced and okay, 4* due to how incredible their fish products are. If you’re after amazing fish and chips, this is your place

Pros: Fish is amazing , On the seafront

Cons: Overpriced , The rest of their products are okay

So welcoming and lovely grub

We visited for the first time and our plan was to get a takeaway and find somewhere to shelter from the rain, but they welcomed us and our 3 dogs in, and even gave us some treats for them!

I tried the vegan cod & chips, calamari, prawnz, and trimmings! All very lovely! My partner doesn't do seaweed, but he loved his battered sausages and chips!

Pros: Dog Friendly , Lovely vegan fish & chips
