Top nosh! - Edit
Found it really difficult to decide what to order here because all the menu looks pretty enticing! I went for the vegan hot and sour soup to start which was so tasty! I got laksa for a main which tasted really authentic and a side of salt and chilli chips which hit the spot! Tried a scoop of vanilla, and honey dew melon ice cream for dessert; wasn't a fan of the honey dew melon scoop. Very friendly staff and atmosphere and a great selection of drinks. Would definitely recommend.

It's been a while since I last visited Suissi, and even though it was busy, they kindly found me a table. This place is one of the top ten restaurants on HappyCow, and it's clear why. The staff is friendly, and the food is amazing—it might be called comfort food, and it definitely made me happy!
Read moreI started with the stuffed tofu, which was fantastic and something I haven't seen in ages. When I asked for a recommendation, they suggested the curry laksa ramen. It was incredible, with a rich, earthy flavor and two types of tofu. It wasn't spicy at first, but the heat kicked in nicely after a few minutes.
I've had a lot of ramen lately, and this one stands out as the best I've had this year. If you're ever in Glasgow or Edinburgh, you’ve got to check out Suissi.
Great again

The best vegan food in Glasgow - Edit
I was discussing Suissi with a friend recently and he remarked that no matter how busy the restaurant is (and it can be really busy) you are always made to feel that you are really special. The staff are a delight and so is the food. The menu is extensive and I think I have tried every item on it and have never been disappointed. The laksa is sublime.

Excellent food, fast, and so kind - Edit
Food here is absolutely delicious. Brilliant and unique flavors. The satay sauce is probably the best I’ve had. Came out incredibly quickly. Environment is warm and welcoming, the wait staff are some of the friendliest we have ever met. Going out of their way to help us throughout the meal and then find a cab afterward!

Best restaurant in Glasgow - Edit
My new favourite restaurant in Glasgow. Delicious, authentic food. The waiting staff are very friendly. The tempeh bao bun was absolutely lovely. Service is very, very quick- the fastest service I’ve ever had in fact. I was served my entire order genuinely within about 5 minutes.
Read moreI ordered the lotus root and pickled black bean for a starter and the Szechuan tofu and rainbow rice as a main. They were both delicious.
The chrysanthemum and goji berry tea was so sweet. I appreciate how they don’t use a tea bag, but actual flowers and berries so you get the whole flavour.
The jackfruit fritters and ice cream were absolutely divine- the jackfruit tasted fresh. Even the garnish was excellent.
The only downside is that the 10p takeaway box which I got for the Szechuan tofu disintegrated while being transported in my car, but I appreciate the eco-friendly option of a cardboard box instead of plastic takeaway tubs. If you have a smaller appetite I would recommend bringing your own container.
Pros: Very fast service , Delicious food , High quality tea
Cons: Takeaway box disintegrates with liquids

Suissi's serves the best Asian food in Glasgow!
Read moreNot just as a Vegan establishment but even compared to non-vegan restaurants, it's one of the best.
The amount of time I hear non-vegan's raving on about their food is a testament to that.

Fresh, Wholesome, and Award-Winning. A Wonderful Evening! - Edit
I had the pleasure of dining at Suissi Vegan Kitchen for the first time last night, generously treated by my lovely friend. The experience truly exceeded all expectations.
Read moreWe indulged in lotus root crisps, vegetable spring rolls, fried tofu in black bean sauce with a side of jasmine rice, pad thai, and salt & chilli chips. Each dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented in rustic serving dishes that added to the charm of the evening. To finish, we enjoyed a comforting breakfast tea - an ideal way to end the meal.
What sets Suissi apart, in my view, is their strong commitment to fresh, natural ingredients. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that takes such pride in offering dishes free from MSG and artificial enhancers. The menu boasts a wide variety of options, with allergens clearly marked, which made it effortless for me to navigate as someone with a nut allergy. I genuinely felt spoiled for choice. Both my friend and I thought the food was reasonably priced.
As we couldn’t finish all the food, we were able to have the leftovers boxed up to take home. This was a sustainability plus, especially given the issue of food waste in many restaurants.
The member of staff who took our order was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. I also loved that Suissi is dog-friendly.
It’s no surprise that Suissi Vegan Kitchen has been recognised by HappyCow as one of the Top 10 Vegan Restaurants in the World. This is a testament to their excellence in vegan cuisine and their dedication to offering an exceptional dining experience.
Overall, we had a fantastic time, and I’m already looking forward to returning. For anyone seeking a dining experience that’s fresh, wholesome, and beautifully crafted, Suissi Vegan Kitchen is an absolute must-visit!

Handwash also against animal testing. Been here 3 times now: Aug 2020, Sept 2021, Dec 2024. Second and third time we didn’t like the tempeh crisps as much as the first time. Recommend getting lots of starters and 1 main to share.

Five Stars. So good. - Edit
Went on a Saturday afternoon and we did book a table for 2 as others mentioned it can get busy. There were some free tables but I am glad I booked. We ordered the Laksa with udon and the Spicy & Sour with ramen along with some spring rolls. Everything was absolutely delicious. These soups were actually spicy which made us very happy. Will definitely return and would recommend to others.

Disappointing - Edit
I am struggling to see what the fuss about this place is all about. We ordered a takeaway last Friday and underwhelming describes our experience. The portions were a disappointing size and the sauce of both our mains was very watery and lacked flavour. Prices have skyrocketed but quality has gone down. Unfortunately this is a trend I have started noticing in many places. Next time I will be cooking my own food.
