Another Great Visit to Suissi! - Edit
So many tasty food options! Such an extensive menu, and everything tasted great! I had the laksa, my friends had the green curry and the crispy noodles. For desert we split a couple of the different fritters, also amazing, and so beautifully presented!

The best vegan restaurant in Glasgow - Edit
I have been going to this restaurant for over a year now and have never been disappointed, hands down the best vegan spot in Glasgow. Diverse range of Asian dishes, every one superb and well portioned! Also fantastic service for such a popular spot.
Read moreMy non-vegan partner also rates this as one of his top restaurants in Glasgow!
I basically have to crawl out of there every time we go as I can’t stop myself from ordering and finishing everything on the menu.

Hit the spot - Edit
Five star for being one of the only places I could find in Glasgow that explicitly states which food contains wheat/gluten or not.
Read moreAlso for generally making all-vegan meals focused on vegetables and tofu, using high quality ingredients. There is too much vegan junk food in Glasgow.
I ordered the sweet and sour king trumpet mushrooms, jasmine rice, pak choi and tofu parcels, but there were so many dishes I wanted to try such as the clay pot tofu and noodle dishes. I also had the GF pineapple fritter.
I was so hungry and tired, so I got a takeaway and it was a relief to eat a decent meal. If I hadn't been on my own I'd have dined in. I especially liked the pak choi and the tofu parcels were refreshing. The environment was really cosy too.
I was surprised that the pineapple fritter is HUGE compared to savory portions and very very high in fat and sugar but delicious, reminiscent of a donut and probably best shared. The GF batter was incredible.
My only criticism is that there was too much oil for my taste and the mushrooms seemed to have too much corn starch or something gelatinous coating them.
And also, even though they use an ethical company called Vegan Wheels rather than Deliveroo, you can't order a takeaway from the city centre, you have to be closer to Partrick. But if you're in the area, this is the place to go for a quality vegan meal!

Really good - Edit
I’ve been several times and the food is brilliant. The menu is quite mushroom focused but even as someone who’s not a fan of them, there’s still plenty good options. They’ve recently changed the lay out a bit so the space is much nicer and brighter. Service is always quick and friendly and the prices are fair.

I love this place. Honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food is always delicious, really fresh, not greasy at all, good portion sizes, excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and will give you recommendations if you're not sure how much to order or which rice goes best with which main dish etc. There's a huge menu and everything I've tried I've loved, plus there's often some specials. They've recently redone the space so it's even nicer, with more natural light, and a really relaxed atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough.

Great little place! - Edit
My husband and I visited on a Saturday evening and had a lovely meal. We had the wontons and spring rolls to start - each came with sweet chilli sauce. He had the sweet and sour mushrooms which were really tasty and I had the curry laska with ramen noodles. The noodles were so silky and tasty. The laska was pretty spicy which was a challenge for me but it was really tasty. We also had the best salad and chilli chips we've ever eaten. There was a dessert menu on offer with things like pancakes, fritters and ice cream which wasn't on the main menu online.

Delicious - Edit
Incredible food that looked so good I forgot to take pictures of it. From the starter (spring rolls) to the main course (crispy noodles) and the dessert (banana pancake), everything tasted incredible. I was a bit confused how to eat the crispy noodles at first, because they were very crispy indeed, almost like a packet of dry instant noodles, but once I figured out I could just turn it over and then the harder noodles were sitting in a puddle of broth and the softer ones were accessible it was a lot easier to eat and tasted very delicious. The banana pancake with crunchy lotus biscoff creme was sooo good.

Our very favourite restaurant in the world! - Edit
Suissi is our local regular Chinese - lucky us! - and we go every week for our Friday night noodle take outs and eat in when we have something to celebrate. The restaurant is lovely, the staff are all stars and the cocktails are fab … and the food, oh my, the food!
Read moreEverything noodley on the menu is awesome, but as a family we particularly recommend the Cantonese Crispy Noodles and the Vermicelli in Tsing Tong broth. Yum! The tempeh and lotus root crisps are amazing, my daughter adores the gyoza, my son loves the tofu parcels. I swing between the lettuce wraps and the lotus root with pickled black bean… it’s just all so good!
Honestly, this was the food that helped us survive a pandemic. You need it in your life!!! 💚

The best vegan place in Glasgow as of April 2023 - Edit
I have been to Suissi several times, both before and after the Covid-19 pandemic, and it is always a delight. The menu is very varied and imaginative, and everything I have tried there has been deliciously flavoured and well presented. Portion sizes are good, and prices are very reasonable. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the food comes quickly.
Read moreThe location is very unassuming – this probably helps keep prices down – and the premises are slightly gloomy, due to the building being very long from the front windows to the back, but the atmosphere is nice and the environment pleasant all the same.
I would say that at present (May 2023) it is the best place for vegans to eat in Glasgow.
