Amazing vegan food - Edit
Superb food, so tasteful, freshly made. Rice balls, homemade tomato soup, gnocchi, superb homemade puddings, good red wine. Lovely service in this small gem of a restaurant.

Ok but vastly overrated. - Edit
Food was generally ok, but I’m not sure why this is so highly rated. Not bad but could definitely be better. Pizza was bland but the pasta was great.
Read moreBYOB, I understand corkage charge but £2 PER bottle of beer?
“Garlic Focaccia” was literally just a garlic bread on a pizza base. Nowhere near a focaccia.
Pros: 100% vegan which makes things easy.
Cons: High corkage fee for BYOB, “Focaccia” was a pizza

Disappointing - Edit
Don’t get me wrong, the food wasn’t bad, but I really don’t get the hype. Apart from being fully vegan, the food isn’t that special. The pizza had way too much cheese and marinara sauce and the pasta was simply alright (had mezze something something with tomato sauce and bacon). Don’t know, maybe we just ordered the wrong thing or expected too much going in. The dessert (Biscoff cheesecake) was really delicious though.

Insane vegan pasta and garlic focaccia - Edit
Some of the best vegan pasta and garlic bread I have ever had. Went with the penne vodka dish and garlic focaccia and was not disappointed. Very cozy place and nice staff as well. Forgot to take a picture of the bread as I was so hungry sorry!

Vegan trattoria - Edit
Fully vegan and a relaxed atmosphere. Had the bolognaise arancini to start which were superb!
Read moreThen quatro fromaggi and funghi Gnocchi followed by cheesecake. All were so flavourful and filling, showing the thought that had gone into them.
Not a fancy place but the decor and atmosphere were lovely. So if you want tasty Italian food I would highly recommend it.

Finally! Delicious and Vegan Italian - Edit
Stumbled upon this tiny resto as looking for yummy pasta and vegan. I had the pasta with Amatriciana sauce- so good. Went all in and topped off with vegan tiramisu. Everything was very tasty , perfect spices. Def recommend this as a stop on your Edinburgh travels. Now have returned 3 more times. The food is delicious and so nice to eat and not have to worry about any food issues. Their pizzas are to die for.

What did we like? Everything. From being welcomed (even if the kitchen was just closed) to the byebyes!
Read moreThe food is AMAZING. Me and my friends, being italian, were a little sceptical at the beginning, but once we read on the website that they're a traditional Roman family that is vegan from quite a long time, we just run there!
Mirella Is the best host we could ever expect to find: a strong and passionate woman, dedicated to support her family and her business, willing to give to every guest love and attention! You can taste it in the food she makes, the authenticity, the care she has for what she does.. from the seitan in your carbonara, to the supplì, everything is homemade!
Never have I imagined to be able to taste in my life the flavour of Rome in Edinburgh, especially vegan! The carbonara and the cacio & pepe were so delicious we kept talking about the dinner even late in the evening. Even something simple like the bruschetta had a flavour that I tasted like the one my granny used to make! Last but not least, the tiramisu... You think you will be able to share it but it turned out so good that I ate the full portion after a full dinner! The cream is soft and it resembles the original one, the sponge is soft but not too much and it's definitely not too sweet!
Again, not enough stars to give the top to Mirella and her lovely crew!
Her daughter just opened another restaurant (Sora Diana) that we will visit as soon we're back in the UK!
Outstanding!!
Pros: Food quality & prices , Hospitality top, Traditional and authentic Roman food

My Favourite restaurant - Edit
I've been into Sora Lella more times than I'd like to admit, but there's a reason - it's amazing!
Read moreAll the Traditional Italian pasta dishes you miss, are vegan! The first time I took my brother here he had to do a double take, as he couldn't believe that everything was vegan.
It's difficult to suggest what to eat on the menu as it's all great, but my favourite dishes are the Cacio e pepe, & the Gnocchi Salsiccia e Crema Tartufata. The cheesecake is also a great way to finish the meal.
I would highly recommend a visit to Sora Lella, you won't regret it!
Pros: Amazing flavours , Loads of variety , Friendly staff

I would give it 5 stars if not for the staff - Edit
Food is amazing, but when we went again the day after for non Alcoholic drinks and dessert, we were kicked out by the staff saying you have to order food and they took the menu from us, also it wasn't packed there were 3 other tables free. I won't be going again unfortunately.

Amazing food - Edit
I went here for the fourth time this year and the second time with my disabled friend. We accessed the restaurant using their portable ramp (a facility that few especially seem to have in Edinburgh) and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. My friend could not access the toilet, but everything else was amazing and the place is tiny!

Delicious and creamy pasta - Edit
We went for dinner around 8:30 and ordered a gnocchi and a carbonara.
Read moreThey were both absolutely gorgeous. The gnocchi was the tomato based one tasted like a creamy mascarpone kind of sauce.
The carbonara was also amazing, wish we’d got some garlicky bread or something to dip the left over sauce in.
Would highly recommend!🍝
Pros: taste, price, location
Cons: would love it to get a bigger space

Easy 5 Star - Edit
Probably one of the easiest 5 stars I could give - a cosy little restaurant with spectacular food. I'm not usually one for Italian food but Sora Lella might have made me rethink that and changed my mind. I had the Spaghetti Aglio Olio and it blew me away. Highly recommend if you're in Edinburgh.

Myself and my partner went here for lunch and it was absolutely amazing! It has a lovely little cosy atmosphere and The food was so tasty. As someone with a dairy allergy, having the option to have anything on the menu was a breath of fresh air. It's so hard to find Italian food I can eat and enjoy and this is my new favourite place

Excellent Italian food - Edit
Firstly - you need to book! It’s a very popular restaurant, we struck lucky and got in but they had to turn away several customers while we were there.
