There’s a total of 7 tables and we waited 30 minutes to be served and had to go and ask before finally having our order taken. Food arrived relatively fast, was served well and tasted average for the price. However, it’s located not too far from the centre (15 min walk) and inside is homely and well decorated.

This was one of the first ever vegan pizzas I tried and I became obsessed! So delicious. The calzone was a highlight because it’s something not all pizza places do. Cute atmosphere and nice staff.

we had the carbonara and no tuna spaghetti with tiramisu for dessert. carbonara was amazing but no tuna wasn’t as good sadly. tiramisu was delicious, i’d never had it before and for a vegan alternative it was really good!

Really blown away at how amazing my meal at Novapizza was! I ordered the Tagliatelle ai Funghi Porcini e Tartufo which I couldn’t have enjoyed any more. The flavors of creaminess blended so nicely with the funghi and seitan. For dessert I just could not decide so I ordered the Oreo Cheesecake AND the Tiramisu. I preferred the Oreo Cheescake over the Tiramisu, but both were tasty! I think if the Tiramisu had a type of cookie/biscuit inside as traditional dish does, I may have preferred it. Either way, both were delish! The service was prompt and the staff were friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

Massive menu (possibly too big), not used to so many vegan options!! Very inventive pizzas with lovely thin crust. Great size too. Really enjoyed the oreo cheesecake, big enough for 2 to share.

This was our 1st restaurant we visited in Edinburgh and after our meal we didn’t want to eat anywhere else! The food was absolutely delicious! Would travel back to Edinburgh just for this restaurant! Fully plant based which is great! And the food menu went on and on with the most vegan options I’ve ever seen on one menu! Really really enjoyed it and amazing atmosphere! Will defo return one day! 100% Recomned to everyone even if your not vegan you have to visit!! 😋

I have brought my all family here and even if they are not vegan they loved everything!! The pizza is just like the one they make in Rome (thin and not too big) but in a vegan style of course

[Recommend booking] One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Staff were 10/10, and food was simply incredible. I had the truffle pasta (can’t remember the actual name) and it was so creamy and mushroomy, it took me right back to before I was vegan. My partner had a pizza which was equally amazing. My new favourite restaurant!

Love novapizza, one of the best vegan restaurants in Edinburgh. So good we ended up coming here after getting engaged! Small place with only a couple of tables, but great food (especially the white four cheese pizza). Also excellent gluten free options that taste good!

Read moreWe had 3 pasta dishes, the vodka pasta was my favourite, and a 4 cheese/mushroom pizza (a little sweet for my liking) garlic bread and olives were delicious. Dessert we had the creme brûlée, nice but lemony which was unusual. The tiramisu was disappointing, bit expensive and not nice and light, but a good size. Overall would visit again. Servers were very helpful nice guys.

I love how authentic this little place is. It feel so homely and the food is too class. This is the best vegan food I’ve had in a restaurant since being vegan. I will keep coming back here until I’ve tried everything on the menu!

I have NO IDEA how this place has so many positive reviews. It was one of the worst meals out I have ever had. Only good thing was the olive starter, although they obviously came from a jar.
Read moreThe pizza was the worst I have ever had. I don't know how they can screw it up so badly. The dough was white and soft, barely cooked, and got very soggy. It said it had ham and pepperoni on, but I didn't find a single pepperoni and the quorn ham wasn't great. Cheese was scarce and tasteless.
I ordered an orange san pellegrino and got a lemon one instead. My boyfriend was served a warm beer at one point. When the waitress asked if I wanted to take home the 3/4 of my pizza left, I declined and mentioned it wasn't very good. She just said 'ok' and cleared the table.
Mediocre food, poor service, mega overpriced for the trash it is. There are infinitely better italian restaurants for a lot less money.

Had a delicious pasta dinner. The penne all’s vodka and the salmon pasta. Both were delightful. The cheese cake was also outstanding I can’t understand how they make it so good. The restaurant has a nice cozy vibe too.
Read moreWe enjoyed it so much we ordered pizzas the next night for delivery, which I was nervous about because vegan pizza cheese often tastes like coconut and sick - this did not! Their cheese is great obviously homemade, no strange tastes. Genuinely delicious.

We really wanted to love this place. We came here for a romantic meal and felt let down. Menu was on a QR code, if you forget you glasses you can't read it as the text is so small. I know covid is around but even a candle on the table would have been nice. It had more of a cheap cafe feel than a fine food restaurant. The food was mediocre - pasta was nice and the fake steak medallions looked great but was awful texture and flavour. We actually sent it back. We visited Autumn 2020 so maybe its improved by now.
