Just the best vegan pizzas - Edit
Everything on this menu is a hit - between us, my partner and I have pretty much tried the whole thing over the years!
Read moreThe pizzas - for me - are the best vegan pizzas in Edinburgh. Everything feels and tastes lovingly hand made. The restaurant itself has a lovely homely but lively vibe… and, they’re on Deliveroo too!
Pros: Really tasty vegan food, GREAT pizzas, Homely, lively vibe
Cons: Pretty expensive, Book early

OK, but not really worth it - Edit
Service was friendly and prompt, but it seems like most of the food is based on the kind of widely available vegan products you'd find in any grocery store. The dishes were not well balanced. While the crust was actually quite good, it was so overloaded with these mediocre toppings that it became soggy and unpalatable. That being the case, the food itself is unremarkable and definitely not worth the price.

Food was incredible and delicious. The restaurant was decorated amazing and created an relaxing atmosphere. When we visited nova pizza they had pride flags up and the toilets were labeled as gender neutral.

Bloody good pizza - Edit
Ordered 4 pizzas for vegans and committed non vegans and they were excellent. Regardless of the pizzas being vegan they were some of the best pizzas I have eaten. The non vegans loved them and try as they might could not find fault with any of them.
Read moreLike many businesses they are struggling for staff and have restricted opening times but next time we are in Edinburgh definitely want to go into the restaurant and sit down and not just takeaway.
If you love Italian food that is vegan you have to try these guys!

A yummy treat - Edit
Italian food is definitely one of the hardest to come by as a vegan, so this one was high on my list of restaurants to try. The food was really good but I wasn't a huge fan of my pizza as it was quite soggy. I did, however, throughly enjoy my partners pasta so I would love to go back and try some more stuff!

Delicious food - Edit
We loved our time at nova pizza, having the different bruschettas, pasta and pizza. I liked the carbonarra but it was a bit too heavy for me so would try a different one if you like something lighter! Loved the bruschettas, especially the spek and the pizza was also very good. I would echo other reviews that the wait staff maybe are not on par with other customer service. We had one extremely lovely helpful waiter and the other was not so much... However, this did not impact our experience at all personally. I would recommended reserving your table and the kitchen closes at 9 even though you can book after that. I didnt see any walk ins be shown seats even though the tables seems to be free for over an hour.

We came there after a long walk, without reservation. They were fully booked, but people were paying, so I guess a table would soon have been available. But we were turned away. The weather was good so we asked if we could have a pizza for take away. They refused saying they don‘t do take away. But we saw pizza boxes on shelves. Anything more to say?

Absolutely first rate! - Edit
This is a lovely option; it’s somehow both casual and fancy at the same time. Superb and genuinely Italian menu with lots of variety in their paste but also the starters. I enjoyed a wonderful cheese based bruschetta and then mains of a tagliatelle cacio e pepe - very truffle based, very delicious and rich. A lovely crème brûlée to finish.

If you live in / are visiting Edinburgh, don't miss NovaPizza - Edit
We recently visited Edinburgh for 5 days and were so excited with Nova’s menu that we decided to visit twice. The first time we had the Antipasto di montagna and both ordered a main after that. When the antipasto board arrived it was filled with 4 different lovely cheeses and 3 different types of charcuterie as well as a good amount of bread, oil, pesto and honea. Everything on the board was delicious. We had a lovely carafe of the Chianti to go with it, which tasted lovely together
Read moreAs we got to the end of the board my partner was feeling very full. We checked whether it was possible to cancel our mains and the kitchen kindly agreed this was OK. We ended our 1st meal with the tiramisu, which I thought was absolutely delicious. The cream was nice and fresh and the base lovely and moist. The espresso that came with it was really good quality too, so when we left we were both feeling very satisfied and excited to return a couple of days later.
When we went back, we luckily were a little more hungry and both had a started and main. I went for the Bruschetta crema al tartufo e speck and the Capricciosa Pizza, whilst my partner had the capers and the Parmigiana di melanzane. The food was excellent as the first time and I have to admit that the pizza was the best one I’ve had in years. The pizza was lovely and thin, the ingredients fresh and the tomato sauce so flavoursome. It was real Italian pizza in my opinion!
Can’t recommend Nova Pizza enough! I hope they are able to expand at some point, cause it feels like they could easily fill a place twice the size.
Pros: Excellent Italian flavours, Varied menu & great wines, Good portion sizes and lovely staff

One of the best pizzas I ever had! - Edit
I was amazed by the pizza at Novopizza! They have so many creative and extraordinary options like pizza bianche with blue cheese, self-made Seitan and every veggie topping you can think of that it is though to make a choice. I went for a pizza bianche and was definitely not disappointed! The though is super fluffy and the toppings are on point. It tends to get a bit crowded, be sure to book a spot!

Nice atmosphere, good flavours - Edit
Lovely to find a vegan Italian. Flavours were very good on the two pizzas we shared between three. The Seitan e funghi was excellent though the Ortolana was a bit on the soggy side. The deserts were ok though the creme brulé didn't have a crunchy top and the chocolate cake was very solid! It would have been nice to have some healthier options such as whole-wheat bases (rather than just gluten free options) as everything was still refined white and even the only side salad they offered had fake meat which didn't seem necessary. The restaurant is small so booking is necessary but it has a great friendly atmosphere.

This is a beautiful restaurant and feels so cosy
Read moreThe pasta was the best vegan pasta I have eaten. They had so many options that you never see veganised! Including this carbonara which was beautiful.
The garlic bread could have been a nicer dough but still yummy
Would have also used buffalo or heirloom - bigger tomatoes for the caprese but still lovely
Pros: Completely vegan

A very warming restaurant, lovely service and nice food. Everything on the menu can be changed to vegan, I enjoyed one with vegan cheese, ham, mushroom and artichoke. The pizza base was really nice and I also just about had room for pudding. Which was Oreo Cheesecake and ice cream.

Exceedingly good - Edit
The whole time I was in here, I had to keep checking it was vegan as everything tasted so authentic! There is a huge menu with all sorts of pasta and pizzas along with salads and different breads. I had the BRUSCHETTA CREMA AL TARTUFO E SPECK G (Toasted bread, truffle cream, rocket and speck) which was incredible. The truffle cream soaked into the bread and the speck was smokey. For majn I had Penne al salmone (Cream, salmon, pan fried cherry tomatoes with a touch of

Outstanding Italian food - Edit
Possibly my favourite vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. Everything on the menu looked delicious so my partner and I split a pizza and a pasta dish — both were phenomenal but the penne alla vodka was especially good. Friendly service, lovely cosy vibe, and great drink and dessert options. 10/10.
