We had a lovely dinner last night. Enjoyed our burgers and stir fry dish. They also have great pizza’s. And the deserts were heavenly!

Never had a vegan pizza before which tastes like an Italian original! Maybe because of their collaboration with an Italian restaurant😉. Enjoyed also the Bitterballen and the Royale with Cheese. Pizza offer seems to switch. We had Veggie Pizza.

Friendly staff that thinks along with you. The pizza was okay but a little boring, even for a margarita. The cheese didn't taste very well but the tomatosauce did. I'd definately go again but I'd try another dish. Would recommend this place though!

I had the spicy ginger shrimp dish and it was way too sweet. It was like eating dinner and desert at the same time. When the waitress asked how the food was I said it was very sugary in which she replied that they don’t use sugar in the food, only syrup. She obviously did not want feedback, so why even ask. The waitress was just rude from start to end. Standards for food and service can not be lowered just because it’s one of the few vegan places in the city. Extra star for the cheese plate.

You know, cheese has been my guilty pleasure to go full fledged Vegan once, but almonds, cashews, rice and cocos oil proved to become the most delicious alternative if served correctly. And yes, at NewVegas your vegan "cheese" ist served correctly with mustard and jam. The staff knows their food, are competent and friendly and its location at the very heart of Haarlem makes this vegan gem all the more appealing. Go check it out!

It's a lovely little restaurant in the heart of Haarlem. They offer different asian dishes but also burgers. We had the shrimps and the classic burger and were amazed of how good the shrimps tasted. The brownie was served with ice cream and whipped cream - fantastic!

They were really nice and found a table for us, even it was crowded. The food was very good, but really pricey. I had a gingertea with fresh ginger wich was a little bit loveless, a fat piece of ginger in hot water. Anyway, food tastet really good and was freshly made. Even with starter I was a little bit hungry after dinner.

We visited Haarlem, known as The Netherlands gourmet capital only for a night. First we wanted to have lunch at Freaking vegan, but this was not open so we decided to check out New Vegas. Walking along the narrow street we found there were only two (occupied) tables in front of the restaurant. Just in this moment the very friendly waiter came out to inform us that we could sit on one of the tables on the other side of the street which seemed to belong to a neighbour restaurant (they are run by the same owner as it turned out).

Coming to the most important point: the food. AWESOME!!!! We had the 'Ik wil kaas', the 'bitterballen' and the 'Sweet Chili Chicken'. Just amazing. If only we had been more hungry. Unfortunately there was no time to visit New Vegas a second time. But we definitely will in the future.

Very nice new vegan place in Haarlem. Atmosphere is great, friendly staff and nicely decorated. I thought the main course (oyster shrimps and tempeg ketjap) was too spicy, but otherwise very tasty. The brownie we had for dessert was perfect!

Vegas is a new Vegan restaurant in the centre of Haarlem. This cozy little restaurant is run by very nice smiley people. There is a wide choice of Vegan wine (from the adjacent wine bar Viqh). We had a very tasty lunch: finally some really tasty cheese, namely Vegan goat cheese and also the Vegan chicken tasted really good. Because we couldn't get enough of all that goodness, we also took a cheese board. Truly a true taste sensation. Especially the Vegan cheese with cumin was really delicious.

New Vegas is een nieuw Vegan restaurant in het hartje van Haarlem. Het gezellige kleine restaurant wordt gerund door erg aardige goedlachse mensen. Er is een ruime keuze aan Vegan wijn ( van de er naast gelegen wijnbar Viqh). We hebben een zeer smakelijke lunch genuttigd: eindelijk weer eens lekkere kaas, namelijk Vegan geitenkaas en ook de Vegan kip smaakte echt goed. Omdat we geen genoeg konden krijgen van al dat lekkers, namen we ook nog een kaasplank. Werkelijk een ware smaaksensatie. Vooral de Vegan kaas met komijn was echt verrukkelijk.
Ga gauw naar dit restaurant!

Straight away you could tell it was home made as was the cheese that was on it.
THE BEST BURGER I’ve ever had.
Can’t wait to go back and try the cheese board after we tried the vegan Brie (mind blown) long time since I’ve had cheese but this tasted better than I remembered.
We’re going back soon and trying everything on the menu.

Read moreHet eerste vegan restaurant in Haarlem, dat ook nog eens open ging tijdens de Corona crisis. Wat een spannende tijd voor de eigenaren Bas en Dominique!
We wilden niet wachten en hebben daarom via hun website eten besteld. Kan ook via Deliveroo.
We hadden een heerlijke Ketjap Tempeh en Sweet Chili “chicken”. Daarnaast een Sea Side Salad en Friet. Meer dan genoeg en van goede kwaliteit.
Dat beloofd wat voor als we weer langs kunnen gaan.
Ik zou iedereen willen adviseren: steun dit eerste vegan restaurant in Haarlem en doe een bestelling. Juist in deze tijd!
Update: op 7 juni zijn we binnen gaan eten, en ja het is echt prima. Zelfde heerlijke gerechten als bij de Delivery. En een fijne, gezellige inrichting.

I was really happy when a vegan restaurant arrived in Haarlem. I had two meals from them now. The first one was extremely sweet, way too sweet for a main dish. The next meal was vegan “fish and chips” that mainly tasted like flower really. The chips was very salt.
