Laid back vegan restaurant with a Bavarian tavern atmosphere est. Dec 2013. Serves Bavarian comfort food like kaiserschmarrn, schnitzel, and mushroom ragout. Also has burgers, salads, and a range of desserts. Note: Advance bookings recommended, because the restaurant gets very busy at peak dinner times. Companion animal friendly. Open Mon-Fri 17:00-23:30, Sat-Sun 12:00-23:30.

One of our favorite places in Munich! - Edit
OMG - you MUST go here! But make reservations because they get super busy!! This place is so good - really highly recommended! The schnitzel and pierogies are amazing. We were too full so we didn't get to try the dessert, but I can't wait to go back here again!

- Food depend on which you choose - the schlutzkrapfen is such a small portion which left me hungry and payed 15 euros. The Bohdi Pfanderl is hug, filling and really good for 19 euros.

Veganes bayrisches Wirtshaus - Edit

They forgot about us. Food was decent - Edit
We were literally forgotten. Even the server seemed to feel bad about it.
Read moreWe order an entrée – the cheese platter. Do not bother ordering the cheese platter. It's literally just Violife cheese cut into cubes – the Parmesan and the Greek version. I was expecting more creativity. There was a vegan Obatzda included, which was fine, but nothing overall impressive. Paying 13€ for a couple of pieces of Violife and a little blob of vegan Obatzda? LOL. There's an Edeka across the street – if I wanted Violife I could've simply gotten it. The salad that came with it actually had a very delicious sauce, though.
After we got our entrée... nothing. We waited, and waited, and asked the server twice, I believe. Unironically, we probably waited 1h for our food. The food itself was decent (obviously by then only mind-blowing food would make it up for us). The Schlutzkrapfen quantity, though, was laughable, really. I had to let my friend eat some of my food, since he was obviously hungry after only being given 5 pieces of stuffed pasta. I got the Tempeh Rouladen, which was pretty good.
We obviously will not be going back since we were forever traumatized from this visit.
Pros: the main dishes are tasty
Cons: laughable cheese platter, quantity/price ratio not the greatest, had to wait 1h+ for our food

Very creative Bavarian Restaurant - Edit
The food was very good! It is not cheap but the portions are very huge, so no one has to leave hungry.
Read moreThe restaurant doesn't offer the classical vegan dishes like falafel and curry but Bavarian "classics" , many different burgers, gyros and nice deserts like kaiserschmarrn (scrumbled pancakes) and Germknödel. The only downside is that the dishes are mostly quite heavy in my opinion. I had the gyros salad and felt pretty full afterwards. So I really didn't feel like having a desert (not even a shared one), even though I was really excited about trying the Germknödel... And since you only have a certain time slot we could not wait until there is new space in our stomach :(
Everyone was very satisfied, even my non-vegan (and actually very vegan-sceptical) friends.
It is also worth mentioning that they have a lot of nice drinks - also non alcoholic - like fresh ginger tea. I'll definitely come back soon!

Good (mostly) bavarian style food - Edit
I‘ve been here several times for dinner and I have to say that it is one of the best vegan restaurants in munich. Great tasting bavarian style food options. Would recommend ordering the „pfanderl“ as a vegan alternative to typical „schweinsbraten“. For dessert try the mousse au chocolate: 10/10. They even sometimes offer a special menu ok special occasions like valentines day.

We had onion rings, chili cheese nuggets, the duck and the beyond meat burger. My first seitan duck and I loved it. Especially the sauce tasted so delicious. The restaurant was very busy and therefore it was noisy.
