This place came highly recommended by my local friend and so I expected a good meal. I wasn't disappointed!
Read moreI tried the first thing on the main menu, a local speciality a bit like a macaroni cheese but with small dumpling like bits instead of pasta. It was good, very good and nicely warming on a cold winter night.
My eating partner had an equally good seitan dish. We shared a couple of desserts, one was a fancy version of a bread pudding with apple sauce and the other was a superior chocolate mousse. Both it the mark nicely.
It wasn't cheap but it was worth it and I'd go again if there weren't so many other vegan places in Munich to check out.
It was really busy (and quite noisey) so make sure to reserve a table in advance if you are going there in the mid evening!
Check out the fancy menu cover, very Bavarian! Not sure if they had an English version but the staff spoke good English and were friendly and helpful.

Authentisch Bayrisches Restaurant - Edit
Ich hatte den hausgemachten Ingwer-Gewürztee und die Keesspatzn dazu gab es einen Beilagensalat. Alles davon war sehr lecker und die Keesspatzn waren so wie ich sie, als ich noch ein Mischköstler war, in bayrischen Restaurants in Erinnerung hatte. Das Ambiente ist auch super, es sieht aus wie ein typisch bayrisch Restaurant, mit viel Holz, hat aber auch Elemente die mit Witz auf das Komplett vegane Angebot hindeuten. Wenn ich das nächste Mal größeren Hunger habe, werde ich auch mal die Schnitzel und die vegane Ente ausprobieren. Klare Empfehlung von mir

Bodhi - urig und lecker - Edit
Uriges, veganes Restaurant, in der Nähe der Theresienwiesen. Es gibt eine Bücherecke mit Romanen und einer Brockhaus Enzyklopädie. Viele Bilder, Sprüche-Sticker, internationale Banknoten als Deko. Der Laden hat sich schnell gefüllt, aber Felix, der Chef / Schichtleiter, hatte einen guten Überblick und bediente uns freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Reservierung empfohlen.

This place is the perfect place for a vegan visiting Bavaria. I was in Munich for over a month and felt I was missing out on getting an authentic experience by not being able to sample the local cuisine. Awesome place to try traditional German dishes. I actually didn’t like my entree, but loved the rainbow salad and enjoyed an elderberry spritz. Ich weiß gar nicht, wie ich hier in Worte fassen soll, was ich im bodhi erlebt habe. Ich bin eigentlich kein riesen Fan der deutschen/gutbürgerlichen Küche - aber dass hier ein rein veganes Wirtshaus Kindheitserinnerungen wecken kann ist einfach fantastisch.

This is my go-to place to bring non-vegans and show them hearty vegan cuisine. All dishes are good to awesome, and they have most of the mainstays of southern German Restaurants. One of my favorites is definitely the cauliflower buffalo wings for starters.

The food was delicious, the restaurant is cozy, and the service was fast and friendly. I would absolutely come back next time in town, I am so happy this is here! Everything we got was amazing, only note was that I needed to add a bit of salt to a few of the dishes. There were so many amazing flavors and the textures were great too. Highly highly recommend! Parking was a real challenge, though so plan ahead!
