very kind staff too when I was done eating I had some herbs stuck in my teeth and asked for a toothpick they didn’t have any so they gave me a skewer from the kitchen so kind. also took home some croissants and muffins for breakfast the next day!

Best Bakery - Edit
Maybe the best bakery I’ve ever been to. I got the Ann donut, curry bun, and coffee stick and all of them were 11/10 delicious. Seriously outstanding, amazing. Worth going out of your way for!

GOAT bakery!! - Edit
I used to hate bread before going vegetarian (because I just couldn't stand the taste of Japanese 惣菜パン) but this place has amazing bread which I've never tasted in my life. It's a solid 5/5, but the drinks are a bit pricey, so be careful if you're planning to dine in.

Worth travelling to - Edit
I was unsure if I would be able to justify going to UB2 as it initially appeared somewhat out of my way. I am SO glad that I decided to travel further than I had once intended. Both the sweet and savoury baked goods were fantastic.

The best bakery in Tokyo - Edit
Just amazing! In our opinion, this has to be the best place for baked goodies in Tokyo. We came by in the morning for some great coffee and got a big bag with different baked goods. They have mostly sweet options but if you are lucky, you might be able to get a slice of their amazing vegan pizza as well. Be sure to stop by early in the day, as they are quite famous and are likely to be sold out at some point in the afternoon. Also, you have to try their almond donut, this was probably the best item that we have tried.

One of the best vegan bakeries anywhere - Edit
Shimokitazawa-neighbourhood bakery on 2nd floor of modern building with a variety of restaurants and shops. The quality of the baking is excellent. Breads, many varieties doughnuts, and other yummy baked goods. Also serves hot and cold drinks with oat milk or soy milk. Many items also gluten free. The Berry Choco Crumble is highly recommended. Everything here will make you taste buds sing.

Best vegan bakery ever - Edit
I’ve been vegan for 24 years and this place had the best baked goods I’ve ever had! The chocolate croissant alone was worth the long trip to Japan. Other standouts: butter bread with yuzu, the glazed donuts, and the chocolate bun. The lemonade was also very refreshing. I could eat here every day!

Best Vegan Bakery In Tokyo - Edit
We visited both locations and were not disappointed. Best bakery with a variety of savory and sweet options. We tried a sweet and savory toast, both delicious but preferred the savory option. And later tried the red bean paste doughnut, a lemon glaze doughnut (not pictured), and a curry stuffed bread (not pictured because it was devoured). Would've gone back again if given the opportunity.

Oh my god the chocolate donut.. I don’t know how it has the right to be so delicious. I’m convinced anything made at Universal Bakes is bound to be amazing. The chocolate and raspberry croissant was so decadent and the salty bun with kelp inside was out of this world!
