Wonderful vegan surprise - Edit
A really tasty lunch here with several international options. One of the appetizers was the best tempeh I have ever had (why doesn't it taste like this when I cook it? The owner said he double fries it). Tasty set meal and faux meat too. And great desserts, especially the pudding. Wow!

Tasty, warm and friendly - Edit
This restaurant is a great addition to the area. Fully vegan, with a range of food from different cuisines. A great mix of Japanese and international menu items. Everything we tried was very tasty, beautifully presented, and good value. The owner is warm and friendly, and speaks some English. Definitely recommend a visit.

Una comida riquísima. Buenas cantidades. Un ambiente muy tranquilo y el dueño es una persona de lo más amable y risueña. Si vas dirección al templo Kiyumizu-dera te recomiendo que pases aquí después del caos de todo el alboroto.

Just ate at the Silver Back Cafe and the food is incredible. Great service and good potion sizes. If you are in Kyoto, do yourself a favour and make sure to try this place.

We stayed across the road from here right as it opened. We came for coffee every morning. The owner was so friendly. Limited English but very eager to communicate and have a laugh. Coffee was great and food was so delicious!
