Hokkaido sapporo noodle shinbusakiya - a quiet little place that serves amazing ramen! We had the misu ramen with a side of gyoza, a must visit for vegans! I got the medium spicy, which was fine, but my husband got the spicy ramen, beware, as an Indian he wasn’t able to handle the spice, but managed to finish it nonetheless!

So we saw the sign for vegan ramen while walking back to Shibuya station and we popped in to try this place. 4 different vegan ramens on offer which must be ordered from the vending machine outside before you enter the business to redeem your vending machine tickets. We had the soy ramen and the miso ramen which were both absolutely delicious and pretty inexpensive! As well as the vegan gyoza.
Read moreFast forward to a couple hours later and also this morning - my partner and I are in crippling abdominal pain and are peeing bright (almost glowing) yellow. That ramen was the only similar thing we ate since. Coincidence? I think not!
In conclusion - great ramen, probably a bit too much salt. Exercise caution when eating and prepare for serious pain.

Ha ha… the bright yellow pee is part of fun of the eating there!! 😆 I always assumed it’s cos they use nooch in the broth… I don’t know for sure what their recipe is but eating a lot of nooch has the same effect on my pee.

This place was great - you order on the vending machine menu out the front of the store (which has an english translated option). I had the spicy miso ramen and it was so yum, plus came super quickly. Nce atmosphere inside too.

Large portions and incredible broth. The spicy one is not that spicy - quite smoky and honestly mindblowingly good. The noodles are thick and al dente. Tempted to come back! No need to get additional toppings - it already comes with plenty.

Read moreSimply select the ramen on the machine outside, pay on the machine and it gives you a ticket, then come on in and one of the workers will seat you and take your ticket, then within 5 minutes you’re presented with a glass of water and a delicious bowl of ramen !!
