The piadina with seitan, potato and avocado rocks! It was probably the best thing I ate on my entire trip. Would give it a 5 star rating if I could :)

They had 5 different standard vegan piadina, and you could also customise your own (which we didn’t do because of the language barrier). Our piadina were very good, large portions. Nice quick lunch to have on the main square of Lecce😄

This place has been a staple for vegans in and passing through Lecce for a long time. I knew the original owner (who was vegan), a lot has changed since he left many years ago - after a few years of decline, the vegan piadine are more (5 menu options plus potentially infinite customizations), and better than ever. Even if all other vegan/vegetarian-only places in Lecce have closed now due to Covid and the energy crisis, this is a solid option should you find yourself in need of a quick bite while strolling through the beautiful historic “downtown”.

A great place to grab lunch or a snack as you explore Lecce! They now have 4-5 vegan options and a menu section specifically called Vegan Kebabs! We had 2 and they were both delicious! Quick service, filling and very tasty.

Sono stato a pranzo in questa piadineria con il mio ragazzo e abbiamo assaggiato la piadina con il kebab vegano. Era davvero ottima, il seitan ha un ottimo sapore e anche tutti gli altri ingredienti sono davvero apprezzabili. Il prezzo è accessibile e onesto per quello che offrono. Unica pecca gli orari di apertura poco chiari e alquanto bizzarri (abbiamo aspettato che aprissero fino alle 14:30 e passandoci davanti alle 16 era già di nuovo chiuso, ma magari è stato solo un caso)

It's not your typical kebab, but it's an amazing piadina with homemade seitan and tons of other plant based options, such as sauces, vegetables and other fillers. The line is always long because people really love it, but it's worth waiting for.

I feel like the whole ordering process is not clear especially for a foreign person. After ordering they tell you to wait but you dont get any number or instructions.
Read moreThe kebab by itself was ok. For me it was too dry and without any intense flavour. It would be nicer if they would add tomato or sth sweet to balance the flavour. Salad, potatoes, avocado and this vegan meat make it kinda boring.

There wasn't really a fully vegan option on the menu, but you can mix and match from all the options to make your own. They have interesting ingredients like seitan, fava cream, avocado, arrugula and more.

Cool to see the giant, "Vegan Kebab" sign on the outside of the building! There aren't many vegan options but the kebabs are good for a snack or lunch.

Vegan fast food in the center - Edit
If you happen to be in the center of Lecce and want a quick bite, this is the perfect option. They have a vegan piadina and a vegan kebab. During my stay there I managed to try both. The piadina is a typical Italian wrap and in this case it comes with seitan. To that you can add the ingredients you want, you can choose from plenty of cooked vegetable and sauces. I had it with ratatouille and an avocado sauce. If you add ingredients it's more expensive (50 cents per each ingredient) but still pretty cheap. The piadina was great. I also tried the vegan kebab, it comes with seitan, potatoes, mushrooms, onions and salad. It's also kind of tasty but it lacks a sauce so it ends up to be a bit dry. If you have it, ask for a sauce. All in all a great vegan option and pretty cheap as well.
