Best vegan bakery I’ve come across - Edit
The owner is super sweet and cares a lot. The pastries are superior and the croissant is the best croissant - vegan or non vegan - I have EVER had. The drinks are delicious as well. Try the croissant and the tahini bun and you’ll be in culinary heaven.
Read morePros: Owner is a gem, Croissant is the best ever , Actually not that pricey at all

Brilliant tiny shop! - Edit
I had a cardamom lemon twist (like a cinnamon roll without the icing, but a crispy top instead), a jasmine tahini oat latté and I ordered the hoisin Seitan sandwich to go. Such creativity and beautiful execution! Was a bit of a walk for me, but WORTH it! Very small, limited seating!
Read morePros: Delicious, creative food!, Courteous, quick staff, Has a real, everyone-welcome vibe.

Tahini buns FTW! - Edit
I took my partner here for a special breakfast and we tried a tahini bun. It was perfect! I was happy to learn that Margo's and Saint-Jean are a stone's throw from each other so we could do a mini vegan pastry crawl. I would absolutely recommend a trip to Margo's when you're in Amsterdam.

Really nice sandwiches and exceptional service. Felt very fresh and modern yet still genuine, would definitely recommend for take-away. Outdoor seating is limited though (there’s two small benches, no tables)

The most perfect little vegan pastry shop ❤️ - Edit
Margo's exceeded all my expectations! We went for breakfast and left with enough food for the whole day 😂 Hard to know what to choose between so many beautiful and delicious options! The cheese croissant is out of this world!

great pastries - Edit
The danish with vanilla and apricot filling was amazing! Very rich and creamy without being heavy and with a nice flaky crust. I also had the cheese croissant, which was also good, but could be cheesier and was maybe baked a little too long.

Excellent sandwiches - Edit
The sandwiches are really well done and full of sliced seitan and fixings. We ordered a crunchy cheese croissant too and while the croissant itself was excellent, the vegan cheese seemed to disappear in it. Still, all tasty.

Delicious sandwiches! - Edit
Margo's is a very nice place in Amsterdam with super tasty sandwiches that you get very satisfying in half.😋 They also have coffee, kombucha, different croissants, sandwiches and toasted sandwiches. Also to take away!
Read moreI ordered a chocolate croissant, the crispy sandwich and kombucha.
I'm a fan of Margo's! The staff is friendly, the building is small, but the atmosphere is nice and the food guys🥹!!! I found the crispy sandwich super tasty.
In addition, the croissants 🥐 are as wonderfully crunchy as we are used to from the butter croissants, but completely vegan!
The only downside for me is that there are no seats and you can only eat something in the windowsill. So it is more of a takeout place.
Pros: Delicious food, Nice staff
Cons: No seats

Amazing - Edit
Fresh from the pan at 2pm. Lemon and cardamom rolls with great layering and flaky pastry. Saw more pans coming from the kitchen as we left; this is a place where they keep everything stocked all day.

Probably the best ever - Edit
I went here several times during my short stay in Amsterdam. Both savory and sweet - they nail it all. Staff are also absolute sweethearts and you can tell how much passion goes into the place. Be sure to get there on time because some items sell out quickly.

Great bakery - Edit
This cute little vegan bakery has some great pastries! I got a sweet tahini roll and another straight pastry. The staff were very friendly and both pastries were delicious. Only recommendation is to go when they open so the pastries are more fresh!

The loveliest, most patient and helpful staff! The environment was very chic and beautiful, could tell how popular it was by the amount of customers!!🤍 The sandwich, jasmine tahini latte and lemon and lavender pastry I got were incredible. Will definitely revisit when I return to Amsterdam 🍋🛬

Worth all 5 stars - Edit
The iced coffee was excellent (especially on a scorching day), the pastry was delicious, but the best thing was the sandwich I bought. Any of the ones with breadcrumbed tofu is worth picking up. Staff were also really lovely. It’s a popular spot in a busy part of town so you might have to wait, but it’s worth it.

Mediocre sandwich - Edit
I ordered the heura chicken Tikka masala sandwich on white sesame bread. It was only ok. The bread was very sense, I needed a cup of water to drink with it. The inside mostly had the taste of mayonnaise. The sandwich itself was rather small for the price (€10.50). I'll give it another try, but the sandwich didn't impress me.

Cute vegan bakery - Edit
We went here twice during our trip to Amsterdam after hearing good things about it online, and we were not disappointed! It has some baked goods available for the day but can sell out fast. To our dismay on our second visit they were out of croissants and pain au chocolat. The sandwiches and toasties are very nice. Especially the tandoori chick’n sandwich and cheeze toastie. We loved the pain au chocolat, wished we could have had it again!

Good value, friendly staff - Edit
Would've taken something else than the danish pastry if I got to choose again - it was alright, but not super exciting. The sandwich was very filling, and tasted healthy and fresh. The best thing was the really nice coffee!
Read moreVery friendly staff. The staff seemed to prioritise calling you by name, because they did it several times during our few interactions. Felt almost american, in terms of service.
Pros: Sandwich - very good value for the price., Very good coffee
Cons: Tofu can be more flavourful, Danish pastry was okay.

Run by an angel - Edit
Is this a gift from God? There’s no way these pastries are legal or vegan, right?
Read moreThey were so delicious! Better than any other pastries I’ve had in my life.
We liked the pastries so much we went back twice, but they were sold out the second time! So get there before 11 for the best selection of pastries (pan au chocolate sell out even earlier - I recommend the strawberry tarts).
Lunch sandwiches are served from 11:30 and are so yummy (I had the hoisin one). Staff are very friendly. There’s no seating space inside as it’s a tiny shop so pack an umbrella if it’s raining or perch around the windowsill (inside or outside). They also do some lattes (no hot chocolate).
If you fancy cookies, I recommend going to Saint-jeans instead who are around the corner - also a good option if you want pastries and Margo’s is sold out as they are still great. But pastries and lunch? Margo’s wins hands down!
There’s no toilet on site that I could see! Two steps leading up to the shop - this may make it hard for wheelchair guests but as it’s so small the counter lady should see you from inside.
Pros: Amazing, Delicious, Must eat for lunch
Cons: Cookies, Sell out fast
