Allright - Edit
I went for a coffee and a croissant. The coffee was allright. I’m a little picky since I used to be a barista so it wasn’t as good as I had hoped (the frothing of oath milk and bitterness of the coffee). The croissant was very big with many many layers. For me it was a bit too decadent. I like my croissant more light and airy and this one was quite decadent in a way. I imagine other people will like it. Just not my personal preference.

Delicious all plant base bakery-deli - Edit
Gets very busy but the service is quick, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.
Read moreIt’s hard to choose from all the pastries available, sandwiches options are also amazing. We had the Crispy sandwich, a tiramisu danish and a pistachio rose pastry. Absolutely outrageously delicious

Wonderful vegan bakery - Edit
Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby, the pastries were phenomenal!
Read moreThe pastry is really flaky and "buttery" in the best way possible. Ended up getting the ham and cheese croissant and a tiramisu Danish, both of which were perfect. The coffee was also really nice, so worked at the perfect stop to grab a couple of on the go pastries.
Pros: Amazing pastry, Great coffee, Friendly staff

Great coffee and pastries- visited twice on our trip. - Edit
We went to Margo's twice during our 5 days in Amsterdam. On our first visit we got coffees and pastries (chocolate orange Danish and chocolate hazelnut croissant). The coffees were the best we'd had on the whole trip, so we went back on our final day for more coffees and pastries (chocolate orange Danish and chai carrot cake). We also picked up some of sandwiches to take with us on the ferry home. Opted for the satay and the portobello blue cheese (on recommendation from the server). My preference was the satay but the blue cheese and mushroom was also nice, my partner preferred the mushroom.

Super friendly staff! #Veganuary
Pros: The best coffee, Great selection of pastries, cakes and cookies

My favourite place to go - Edit
Margo’ is my absolute favourite place in Amsterdam.
Read moreMy BF and I come by very often; we pick up food and coffee and then go to the Vondelpark for a walk and eat our breakfast on a bench in the park.
We always get the croissants; they are hands down the best vegan croissants I’ve ever had. They aren’t cheap, but they’re huge and so freaking delicious. Flakey, buttery, they are so so so good!!
We also get a danish everytime we’re there, the one with tiramisu is our personal favourite.
They are not cheap (3,- for one croissant), but they’re so so so good so I’m always willing to pay for it.
Pros: Best vegan croissants ever, The food is so so so good, Friendly staff
Cons: Somewhat price (but so worth it), No seating options

Best croissants - Edit
They have the best classic and vegan ham and cheese croissants that I’ve ever tried. Their cossaints were flaky and crispy. And the size is quite big in comparison to the other coissants I’ve had in other parts of Europe. Their brioche was also really good albeit quite pricey. Service was also good.

Delicious take away bakery - Edit
Their pastries and sandwiches are so good, it is definitely worth seeking this spot out! I had the pain au chocolate and I didn't get a picture because I tucked into it as soon as I stepped outside! It did not disappoint.
Read moreThis bakery is located in a lovely area of Amsterdam, picture perfect.
All their products are freshly made and baked in house so the shop smells delicious!
They had some pastries topped with nuts lined next to plain pastries but happily got me a pain au chocolate from the back so there was zero chance of cross contamination which I really appreciated.
The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about other vegan food places in the city. Would recommend!
Pros: Delicious pastries , Friendly staff, Lovely location and shop

I am a fan. It's crazy how the croissants are so flaky, I just sit there peeling off layer after layer.

Delicious sandwiches - Edit
We had the katsu and smoked tofu sandwiches which were lovely. We both preferred the katsu though. The sandwiches were so full with plenty of sauce so they weren't dry. Pastries were also yummy but I'd do purely for the sandwiches

Margo’s - Edit
Seemingly very popular (busy) place, but very efficient. They sell some of the most Instagram-able pastries I’ve ever seen (my pictures don’t do them any justice). Flavour didn’t blow me away, but they had enough and the texture was spot on.
Read moreLots of options for sweet and savoury pastries. Sandwiches aren’t served until after 11:30. No tables, just a few benches along the windows inside and out.

Finally had the chance to go to Margo’s and eat their Danish pastry!
Read moreI had the Danish pastry with apple center and cream on top. It was incredibly good! 🤩
I had the katsu sandwich with Huera chicken, it was good, but a bit overpriced if you ask me. It was good but not special.
A must try if you love pasty 👌🏼🌸 Unfortunately you can’t eat the pastry inside as there are no tables and chairs.

Amazingly good vegan croissants - Edit
Margo's make the best vegan croissants I've ever had, without a doubt. The plain croissant is already great but the cheese croissant is so so sooooo good. I like the cheese and ham one too, but the vegan ham could be better.

Best vegan pastries, great coffee too - Edit
100% vegan; the pastries made at Margo’s have to be some of the best in the world.
Read morePastries, coffee, tea, chai available all day, and sandwiches also available in the afternoon.
They have a beautiful shop, kind professional staff. It’s a very inviting and warm location.
There’s not really any seating options (a bench inside and a couple outside), but it’s great to grab and go!
The Chocolate Hazelnut pastry is my favourite!
They have savoury (I.e. “cheese”) pastries and sweet pastries (I.e. rose pistachio Danish). I would recommend everything!
They can sellout early on busy days, so I recommend going early. A brief wait in line is worth it.
These really are the best pastries you’ll find in the Netherlands!! Go, and bring some home!!

Pros: 100% vegan / many options! (Food and drink), Nice location a little bit away from the crowds , Best pastries in the Netherlands

Excellent sandwiches and pastries - Edit
The katsu and the hoisin sandwiches are exceptional. You have the choice of white or wholemeal bread. They chop them in half so if there are two of you you can mix and match. They had a wide range of pastries so we’ve stocked up for breakfast tomorrow!

THE BEST - Edit
While I dream about them opening a second location in the Pijp, I'll keep cycling all the way to their current spot because their pastries are worth every effort. They look and taste a m a z i n g. Flaky, and sweet and special (I had a chestnut-cream-danish once!). It's my favorite place ever. And the coffee is great too.

Favourite Place in Amsterdam (so far) - Edit
Efficient little cafe with wide array of pastries, cakes, cookies, and sandwiches. The staff are lovely and the cafe itself is bright and cozy.
Read moreLots of options and all delicious - have tried the ham and cheese croissant, tahini bun, tiramisu danish, lemon and cardamom twist, and the katsu sandwich across the multiple trips and haven’t been disappointed yet!
The coffee is very good (and very rich!) but they also have very interesting alternative drinks like the jasmine tahini latte (big recommend).
There are benches inside and outside. The area can be rather busy on weekends but generally is very calm and quiet relative to the immediate surrounds. Very pleasant for sitting and enjoying.
Pros: Quality, Variety, Cute and quiet area
