WOW amazing!! a must

I came with my meat eater husband and we were both amazed! The food was so so good. The atmosphere is fancy but not a suite and a tie fancy. Prices aren't cheap, but definitely worthy for a special event. The service was kind as well.

Awesome location for restaurant

The location almost seems wrong when you approach it as it seems like a residential area. However, it is nicely tucked away from busy streets. It's a bit tricky to get to as it's not on any of the main train/tube lines but it's right near Primrose Hill so makes a lovely excuse to walk via that for a great view.

Pros: Location (next to Primrose Hill), Lovely food choices

Cons: Bit difficult to get to via tube/train

so much choice

Not what I expected and exceeded expectations. Portion sizes were huge, really enjoyed the raw tacos to start which would probably have satisfied me as a main. Pecan cheesecake with berries on the side for dessert were delicious, as was vegan wine. Very close to primrose hill to walk our lovely dinner off and look over London :)

The Best!!!

The most amazing place to eat so far. We didn't have reservations but they found us a table even though it was Mothers Day. The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly presented. Everything we saw coming from the kitchen looked wonderful. They even gave us two mothers a bag of delicious homemade cookies when we left!! I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Even the non vegan members of our party were blown away. I will definitely visit again and wish I lived closer so I could go every week

Pros: Excellent Food, Excellent Presentation, Excellent Staff

My favourite vegan restaurant in London!

I am not sure why it took me so long to try Manna but I will certainly be back. It is the perfect place for a special meal - lovely food and vibe. We ate the arancini, courgette and corn fritters, nachos and green curry. Save room for dessert - the semifreddo was spectacular.

Delicious but pricey

Can't fault the venue or how tasty the food was. I had the spaghetti and veatballs, with the houmous and pita bread on the side. The houmous was delicious. And the veatballs were very tasty. I was only disappointed with the portion sizes, especially considering the price. My meal came to £18 (very pricey for lunch) and it didn't fill me up as the portions were tiny. As a one-off treat it was lovely, but too expensive for me to go back again.

Pros: Delicious food, lovely venue, great service

Lovely little restaurant

I went for lunch and had a great salad, big portion, nice mix of very fresh raw and cooked veggies, very tasty. It is off a lovely street in Primrose hill, full of nice little shops. Easy to get there from Chalk Farm Tube Station. Definitely want to go back for a bigger meal!

a not so lonely lunch

Went here for lunch on my own and immediately fell in love with the menu. I chose the nachos as I was wanting to try their vegan cashew cheese. It was great and super filling. Everything was ordered and came to me with in about 5 minutes which was awesome. Certainly going back

Pros: service , fast, tastes amazing

lovely New Year's Eve dinner

Went with my vegan husband and vegetarian friend on NYE before seeing the fireworks from primrose hill . Set menu for only £54 which included 7 courses, a cocktail and a glass of house wine. Really nice atmosphere and good service.

Pros: delicious celeriac soup

Cons: main course a bit disappointing

I want to love this place but I don't

There are so few vegan restaurants in London that I wish I could be more positive about this one. I have been here probably 6 or 7 times over the past few years, and every time I feel that the food is OK but nothing special. I keep hoping it will improve. We could really use an amazing vegan restaurant in London.

Pros: vegan, Thanksgiving dinner

Cons: food is just OK, difficult to get to, usually requires reservations

Manna mia (sorry)

Me and my partner visited Manna while staying in Camden Town... easily one of the food highlights of our trip to London. We heard that it was the oldest veggie restaurant in London and it seemed quite prestigious so we had high exceptions, which I'd say were met.
We decided to book and good thing we did, as it was busy even on a Tuesday evening. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
We both had the lasagne which was gorgeous although they may have gone a bit overboard with the tomato sauce, which overpowered the other flavours until you cleared it a bit.
For dessert my partner had the cheesecake of the day (coffee and chocolate) which really tempted me but in the end I went for the semi-freddo... three different flavours of vegan ice cream layered with cookie dough topped with fresh berries and coulis anyone? Gosh, I loved it, tasted so good. Very photogenic also.
Sung my praises in the little message book on the way out, great experience.

Pros: Great service, Fantastic food, Chalk farm looks like a nice area

Cons: I've had better bloody marys but still, Expensive for small town Welsh folk

incredible food!!

My sister and I went last night. We were dressed really casually, on the verge of 'will they let us in?' And they were so welcoming. Then we got to the food- great options, and oh my days the pumpkin soup was divine. Divine.

great for a posh meal

Lovely upmarket restaurant for the posher vegan dining experience, lovely food but pricey. I went for my birthday with my Omni mum, she loves trying vegan food but didn't enjoy the menu as much as I did, so not best place to take non-vegans.

Pros: posh vegan food

Cons: I didn't like the layout, looks like a house, but , exotic menu may scare Omni friends

Best Sunday roast ever!

This is my boyfriend and I's favourite vegan restaurant in London, we always visit for special occasions and events. There is always a great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. Everything on the menu is delicious, but we always go for the special Sunday roasts! The puddings too are unbelievable - the best vegan cheesecake ever. Go with an empty stomach and have three courses!!

Good to visit all-vegan restaurant

It was good to see that the restaurant was full and thriving with an all-vegan menu. Very nice atmosphere and attentive service.
We liked their version of a thai green curry with tofu skewers, cashew nut rise and mango salad. The nacho platter was nice, very fresh-tasting dips and salsa. The enchilada lasagne was very tough to cut, especially the bottom layer and was pretty much the same things as the nacho platter reconfigured - our mistake in ordering without spotting this.
We were keen to try their creme caramel as have never had this dish. It was a pleasant peanut flavour mouse with chocolate ganache and caramelized nuts on top.
Also, Freedom lager!
The food was good, and it was nice to have a meal in a proper restaurant rather than cafes, though to be honest it's not as amazing as we were expecting for the price.

Pros: All vegan , Restaurant setting , Vegan drinks

Cons: Good but not amazing, Pricey

Classic Vegan Soul

Walked in and Marvin Gay was playing, so instantly the mood was set for an enjoyable meal. Then the oldies kept coming to the tune of our fabulous meal. Misa ordered the falafel burger and mixed green salad, I went with the organic spaghetti & veatballs while the kids graved the marinated tofu, chana masala, garlic greens and manna humous. They also serve desserts, fresh juices and organic wines if that's your thing.

Pros: too many options, wifi

Cons: none

Best meal in London!

I went to this restaurant with my vegan sister and nonvegan mother, and we all loved it! It's a bit out of the way if you're staying in central London, but definitely worth the trip. I got the bangers and mash as an entree and nachos as an appetizer. Best nachos I've ever had, and the bangers and mash was SO good. Lovely atmosphere and great service. It's also cool because it's the oldest still standing vegetarian (now all vegan) place in London.

The best London vegan restaurant

I was born in London and have been vegan for over 15 years. manna is my favourite restaurant. The ambience is great - it is a suitable place for a romantic dinner or special evening of any kind. The food is all vegan and always fantastic. They make their own cashew cheese and various complex sauces and always have a variety of dishes, including hearty fare like vegan meatball pasta, as well as healthier, lighter options. Their desserts are always to die for and they make their own petit fours too. They have a great wine list and also do nice cocktails. The service is friendly and down to earth despite the upscale location. Over the years I have taken lots of people here including omnivore friends and relatives. Everyone always loves it and it is now the favourite restaurant of my omnivore best friend and my partner. Just go!

Pros: Lovely decor, Amazing food, Great wine

Nice setting, average food, pricey for what it is

Came here for dinner with the BF. I 100% agree with the average reviews that the food was middling and bland, and that the menu could use an update. We ordered the cashew cheese croquettes, the bangers and mash, and the potato and cashew cheese roulade, all of which were IMO the more interesting items on the menu. Everything else looked plain boring.

I had some expectation on the bangers and mash, but it turned out to be a disappointment. The onion rings weren't even salted. The "bangers" had an off texture and flavor—they were too soft, fell apart easily, and tasted nothing like sausages. I dare say I can make better ones than these. The roulade was unmemorable. However, I did like that they threw kale into both main courses—I love my greens! Best thing of the night was the croquettes. We did also share a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. That was pretty good, but overpriced at £8. Actually, I thought the price point as a whole was on the high side for what it was. That said, the setting was nice and cosy, service was friendly, and the portions were substantial. I think three cows is fair.

Pros: atmosphere, big portions

Cons: pricey, uninspiring menu

Mediocre

We went here for dinner, having not been for a few years, and were reminded why we'd not rushed back. The food is decidedly average and presented in a way reminiscent of 90s gastropub fare. The sauces are poured on with excess, there is way too much lettuce lying around and the flavours lack vibrancy. There is a distinct lack of seasoning that results in an overall blandness that could easily be remedied. Things that aren't bland, like the chana masala, are almost sickly sweet. The desserts are heavy on what tastes suspiciously like the Swedish Glace one can buy in the supermarket. I applaud their decision to go all vegan, but with an edited menu and a clearer taste profile, this restaurant could be so much better. Given the price point, that seems fair to expect.

Pros: all vegan, nice location

Cons: boring flavours, dated presentation and decor

We were there twice in one day! The food was awesome. We loved the cashew cheese croquettes, nachos and desserts in particular. Nice space and quite close to the chalk farm tube station.

Average..

Been there once for lunch during the week. I liked the mixed greens (containing Kale this day) but the bean taco did not leave me any strong memories.
I also have to say that the menu is not appealing (you cannot really figure what you are going to eat and it is not well described on the menu).
The service is very friendly and smiling though
I would probably go back for dinner to give it a second try, but not my priority.

Lovely Meal

I had such a good meal here; firstly, the whole menu is vegan so there's no deciphering what you can or can't eat, second the staff are so friendly and helpful, Michelle was our waitress and she was patient enough with me to help me pick a meal that suited my preference (high carb low fat) I got a bowl of spaghetti with two extra child's portions which filled me up nicely, it tasted fantastic too. I was also treated to a little birthday biscuit and chocolate selection with a candle on top and the chocolates were hands down the best vegan chocolate I've had. We were the last to leave the restaurant and felt in no way rushed out, the staff all said goodbye and I was left feeling completely satisfied. will definitely return to this lovely place. Thank you.

Pros: Welcoming, friendly atmosphere and staff, Delicious food, lovely location

Cons: not so cheap butyou get what you pay for

Great food experience!

I was so excited to try this place! I though they still had brunch but the waitress explained us it didn't work so well so they stopped but anyway, after a quick look at the menu, I wanted to try it all!

I went for the vegan gluten-free(!!!) onion rings, with the best batter I've ever had, seriously.
The raw pad thai was okay as well, not so my thing but still good. My BF had pasta with Vegan meatballs was okay, not so original but good cooked. The waitress was just so nice, so friendly, very attentive. The place is super lovely! I definitely recommend it!!!

Pros: raw and GF options, delicious food, cosy, nice place, lovely waiters

Cons: a bit pricey
