Cancelled reservation, no apologies - Edit
I wanted to try this place and did an online booking for the next day. The day I was supposed to go I received an email saying that the booking was cancelled by the restaurant. No reason for it, no apologies whatsoever.

Rude staff!!! - Edit
Very rude staff! I have been 2 times, once in 2018 on a empty restaurante and nobody helped me. Looked at me up and down and then I asked for a place to seat, they said were full in a very arrogant & rude way. Now 2021, same thing! Extremely rude! It is okay to be full even when there is nobody inside the restaurant, but you don’t need to be soooo rude! Rude rude!

This restaurant is also a book shop and the environment is very warm and comfy, the staff is very kind. For 16€ you can have a big dish with three dishes that you can choose from the menu, which is vegetarian with half of the dishes vegan. Everything tastes amazing and is made with excellent quality ingredients. the menu changes frequently and it often has Sardinian dishes traditional Italian dishes and also some asian/middle Eastern-inspired ones. The service charge is 2€ but it includes unlimited fresh water

Absolutely loved this place it was so cute and the service was awesome and I just had the best time. My sister and I split a bottle of rose I wish I remembered which ones and a bunch of apps and the a different bottle and two entrees I should’ve written this review right when we went!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Not so obvious to notice that this is a restaurant. Even the terrace is like 25-30 metres from the actual resto entrance. All veggie with many vegan options, all tasted great!!

Read moreWe had a very nice lunch here, the food was excellent. We tried the "village salad" (with beans and onion), and an avocado carpaccio, both very nice. We then went for spaghetti alla chitarra with sun-dried tomatoes, tagliolini with citrus fruit pesto, and some superb potato tortelloni with ginger.
As a dessert we opted for a simple but yummy chocolate, almond and pear cake.
2021.06.26 update: everything confirmed, but I have downgraded it to 4 stars instead of 5 because the staff was a bit rude.

Great vegetarian cafe in heart of Florence - Edit
I ate here with my partner. They had a really diverse menu combining more typical Tuscan options like pasta with diverse dishes like falafel and dosa. Great menu with salad starter and main for lunch. Also friendly service!

Brac is a nice place to enjoy some high-quality vegan fare while engaging your inner understated academic hipster vibe. Technically a restaurant/library/reading room, Brac is a long-standing vegetarian location in Florence and well worth a visit.

Around half of the menu is vegan.
What I really love and can be found quite often in Italy, is the option for a mixed plate.
You can choose 3 (or more) dishes from the menu.
In this case a salad rice or pasta a (changing) special.
I chose a mixed salad with raw carrot, zucchini and cabbage in a creamy almond-cauliflower sauce, homemade Seitan and tortelloni stuffed with potato-ginger and creamy oriental styled sauce.
Surprising and very tasty!!
My husband liked his vegetarian lasagne (9€) too, but it looked pretty tiny compared to my plate haha.
Friendly and skilled staff.
Had an excellent evening.
