Yummy banh mi - Edit
Enjoyed the banh mi here very much - not the best I’ve had but definitely worth it. Also enjoyed the pillow - kind of a cross between and spring roll and a fried dumpling.

Small place, BIG FLAVOURS!! - Edit
Hubby and I came across town especially to try the banh mi here because I love banh mis and I have yet to eat a vegan one... Until now! So delicious and fresh - everything made to order and the baguette was so crisp and crunchy and yummy, together with the flavoursome ingredients just made it perfect. We also had the spring rolls (last one on the menu) and they were my favourite spring rolls ever! Also ate the donuts, which were like savoury Asian samosa type things - very good! We are all glad we came here, and will most likely be back again tomorrow before our train.

A bit tucked away off the main road and with limited seating but we cannot fault the Banh Mi and the polite service we received. We ordered 4 Banh's and they were so good we ordered more to eat there.
Read moreLimited menu - we had Banh Mi and spring rolls but it was enough. There didn't seem to be any drinks available and they advised they have stopped doing desserts.

Simple and Delicious - Edit
I found Vegan Banh Mi reading an article in Culture Trip. It was totally worth the short walk. A ground of locals was sitting on the street eating street food but recognized me immediately as someone looking for the Began Banh Mi and kindly directed me down a well lit alley to the little shop. Family run their little girl welcomed me in English and won me over immediately. The small menu is perfect making it easy to try a few things. With a Banh mi COSing only 23,000 VD it is smart to try a couple things. Your mouth and belly will thank you. So tasty. Don’t wait until late night to go, they close up at 19:00.

There is 5 options. ‘Donut’ is 10k. Roll 5k. Bread 20k. No more desserts which I was sad about. Sauce was bit tastless. Is still recommend this place!

Very small place, entirely vegan, run by amazing people. Not a lot of option in the menu, the food is pretty standard but was amazing to find a place like this in the chaotic Hanoi.

Cute hidden gem - so good - Edit
It's hidden down a side street and you feel like you're walking into someone's house (you most probably are!). It's super cheap and tasty, and given it looks to mostly appeal to travellers, has a local vibe. The folks that run it are friendly and welcoming (plus wear great t shirts).

Not sure if this is the same place. Same name, same location but not a food cart, instead a small back room with tiny tables and chairs.

Good Banh Mi - Edit
Had both the Banh Mi sandwiches. The lentil one was better. They are cheap, too, but not very filling. Also tried the pillow dessert, which was good if you’re looking for a deep fried sweet.

Best -all vegan- surprise in Hanoi - Edit
We already accepted that eating vegan in Hanoi as ignorant tourists was gonna be a struggle, but then we stumbled unexpectingly onto this place's doorsteps. Fantastic, authentic Hanoi street-food, minus the animals. The best!

Great food - on Grab! - Edit
Great food order, and so cheap too. Followed instructions from a previous review about how to order on Grab - had one banh mi, two samosa-style pasties (which are about the size of your palm, so pretty big!) and two spring rolls. All very delicious, and came wrapped in brown paper and in a bag made of old printed university marketing material. Would have loved to see some of the sweet options on the menu too, but guess I'll have to go in person for those! Not a whole lot of flavour in the food, but still great, affordable, and so convenient. Love the environment-friendly approach too.

Delicious vegan street food - Edit
Tucked away down a little alleyway, this tiny eatery was well worth seeking out. The banh mi, spring rolls and pillow dumpling (sort of like Vietnamese samosa) were very fresh, cheap and so tasty! They have a small inside area with 3 or so tables where you can eat your meal. The banh mi are quite light so if you’re really hungry, it’s worth getting 2 each plus a few sides. Definitely recommend this place, we’ll be back :)
Read moreEdit: We just had a Grab delivery from here for dinner, and they get bonus infinity stars for their genius packaging. The bag for the banh mi was made from recycled school books and the sandwiches wrapped in brown paper, so no plastic anywhere 👏🏼 They can be found on Grab as “Banh Mi Chay - Tran Hung Dao”. Thank you again to this place for the delicious food and for being so conscientious.

They have a small menu, but it is done excellently! So much so I went back for seconds. I tried both banh mi, I preferred the meatless one over the seitan one but both were incredible. The donut pouch was delicious too! So cheap too, so definitely get one if you’re in the area.
