Delicious Banh Mi - Edit
Banh mi was so delicious for 35K. Also offers free water for anyone who needs to refill their bottle even if you aren’t eating there.

come on…. the menu is quite small and location isn’t good at all. there’s only 3 small tables, no aircon (just a fan) and no drinks available besides water. food is pretty damn good tho to be fair

Delicious vegan banh mi - Edit
Look out for the banh mi chay sign on the street and go down an alley way. A few tables outside and inside. We had the pâté and the tofu banh mi. The pate was more flavourful but both delicious. You can also fill up your water bottle for free.

Amazing - Edit
I have nothing to say apart from: “just try it and you’ll see what I’m talking about “. It isn’t just a few vegetables put in a bun, it’s a nice combination of ingredients. Also the stuff is so nice and you can fill up your water for free. If you go to Hanoi it’s a must😉

Lovely banh mi - very good price - Edit
The soy meat was more flavourful than the mushroom option. But the soy meat option was a little sparse, I wanted more it was so nice!

Amazing food & the kindest family! - Edit
Such a special place! It’s a small, family-run restaurant with delicious, authentic Vietnamese food - seriously, everything we tried was amazing. But what really makes this place stand out is the family behind it.
Read moreThey used to run a regular restaurant, but after going vegan, they made the brave decision to turn their entire business plant-based, even though it meant a huge financial struggle. Despite that, they’re some of the kindest people you’ll meet. They offered to refill our bottles with filtered water and even gave us bananas to take with us, we couldn'tstop laughing!
If you're in Hanoi and looking for great local food with a feel-good story behind it, definitely check this place out. They truly deserve all the support!

Excellent place - Edit
This place is another one where you need to walk into an alleyway to find the restaurant. It is rather small. There seems to be a couple running the place. The food is really nice and tasty and great value for money. You can tell by reading the menu that the owners are very dedicated vegans.

This is a sweet, quaint little place down an alley in Hanoi that is devoted to respecting animals and veganism, and the food here is so tasty I did my tasty food dance. Please, if you're in Hanoi, don't miss this place of your itinerary.

Sweet place - Edit
Tiny place down an alleyway, only about 3 tables. Very sweet vibes with lots of environmental/ethical posters - and signs saying they’ll fill your water bottles up for free. We ordered the tofu banh mi but it wasn’t what we were expecting - more like balls made of tofu and other things rather than slabs of tofu that you might expect.

Hidden gem! - Edit
Literally, you walk easily past by. Go through the gate with the blue poster, walk for 10 meters or something. We got welcomed by a very friendly guy.

Must visit in Hanoi - Edit
Holy this place is delicious! Everything is made in house. I wish we found it sooner so we could eat more of their food! The tofu Krab noodles are a delicious flavourful bowl (dearly missing the flavourful broths while in the north). The Bahn mi was middle of the pack of all the vegan ones we tried in Vietnam.

Bao An Vegan Street Food is a small, friendly Vietnamese restaurant serving tasty vegan food. It's a nice, cozy place to eat. They have great banh mi, noodles and snacks. The noodles with peanut sauce are really good!
Read moreThe family who runs the restaurant wants to promote veganism in Vietnam, specifically focusing on affordable street food. They have information around the restaurant about healthy plant-based eating and even vegan egg substitutes.
Just remember they close at 7 pm, so check before you go.

A very quaint little restaurant nestled in an alley serving local dishes at local prices.
Read moreThis is exactly the kind of spots we are searching for while traveling.
The price make sense for the kind of little nook it is while the food taste authentic.
We tried a soup, a banh mi, and fried spring rolls. Everything was good, but the rolls were the highlight for sure.
Clearly worth a visit if you're in the area.
Highly recommended 👌

A lovely spot, top rated for good reason. Krab noodles and mixed noodles were incredible, so cheap (35k each) and the family running it is lovely. Make the effort and support the VG team here in Hanoi!

I was looking forward to try but, the bread wasn’t good at all, which kind of ruined the meal. I tried a mix banh mi, the filling was good though so I hope I just hd a bad batch of bread
