Big on flavour

The menu is pretty exciting: SE Asian flavours with fresh ingredients. Orders came out super quickly. But the food is very light, with no serious protein components - silken tofu is not a contender in the vegan protein stakes! Also, the Small Eats are tiny, and really just a mouthful; relatively poor value compared to the better-priced mains. Maybe this is how vegan diners eat today, but my dinner meal left me wanting.

Pros: All vegan, Fast service

Cons: Insubstantial portions, Low protein content, Can be poor value/expensive

Asian influenced Vego restaurant

Was excited when this Sydney joint decided to open a Byron restaurant. They also brew their own beer and Kombucha. The food is always on point. Don’t go enough. Perfect for a date night or birthday celebration.

Good

An Asian focused menu, tend to be spicy. Food is good and the beer is great

Great vibes for evening dining. Great menu but too much sweetness for my tastes

Dimly lit funky venue with an impressive menu of Asian items. We opted for the banquet which gave us a taste of nearly the entire menu. The food was fresh and tasty and the dishes creative however nearly every dish was sweet so having sampled a bit of everything, I left feeling a bit queasy. The alcohol here is overpriced

Pros: Great menu, Creative and tasty food , Great ambiance

Cons: Too much sweetness across majority of the menu, Overpriced drinks

Ok banquet, but not amazing

We had the banquet and some dishes were great some were not very delicious. Overall the food was quite sweet and, while some flavours were good, overall we walked out a little underwhelmed. I ordered a beer for $8.50 and it came in a wine glass, not great value. I wouldn’t go back, at least not for the e banquet.

Pros: Some dishes were ok tasting, Service was nice.

Cons: Food was a little on the sweet side, Beer was over priced

Worth a visit

Food was good - well presented - interesting menu. I had the zucchini flowers and the gyoza.

Pros: Good menu , Reasonably priced , Fast service

Cons: Wasn’t keen on the noise from the pool outside

Exciting menu, but way too sweet

Its a stylish place, and very popular at the moment. They make their own beer, kombucha and even sake.
The menu looks great, and while some things are good, most things are sickly sweet. Literally. I've been about 6 or 7 times now, and each time I'm feeling sick by the end of the meal. It seems the Thai chef has has removed all the spicy, sour, salty and pungent flavours of his home cuisine, and replaced them all with sugar.

Pros: Stylish, Homemade drinks

Cons: Horribly sweet

Lovely food - didn’t quite match the hype

Had a delicious dinner here - stuffed capsicum, short soup, tempura broccolini and gyoza (plus desserts!).
It was all lovely - but it didn’t quite live up to the descriptions in the menu.
But everything was still very tasty and I’d still definitely go back and try the other things we didn’t get to try.

Pros: Short soup - the dumplings were amazing!

Cons: All the desserts are covered in matcha powder :(

Delicious Asian inspired good times

This is the cool calm and collected guy on the vegan scene in Byron, tucked away in a little corner, not making a big deal about himself. It's really fantastic food though, Asian inspired vegan menu which may offend those Asian food experts out there, to me it's a great balance of flavours. An easy to deal with menu that breaks it down into small, medium and big, as well as an excellent selection of desserts. We tried each one, they're all good but the doughnuts were my fave. Other highlights include the panko brocollini and tempura seaweed. I got the shirt soup with wontons and spiced cauliflower, both those were specials though and I don't know how often they'll make an appearance.
These guys were super rad during the lock down, delivering set menus on weekend nights to surrounding towns.
And you can get cook at home frozen meals at the station grocer now.

Pros: Great desserts, And bangin food

Best vegan food anywhere!

Vegan power! This is now it. The best vegan food I’ve ever had. Three different starters, salad, another salad and two mains a great dessert. ALL VEGAN! For two with beers, way under 100AU$.
Service was friendly, fast, professional and enthusiastic. They managed to deliver what we expected and went far beyond.
I really was proud of these people for running a place like this and we will return.
I managed only to take a photo of my beer, once I got my starter, I forgot I had a phone. :)

Pros: All vegan, Interesting ingredients , Stellar service

Absolutely delicious

Delicious plates of food that will make you stop, savour and say “oh my goodness how do they do that?” The Green jackfruit and bamboo steamed buns are so good! One plate is not enough!

Pros: Great value , Plant based

Must-eat in Byron !!

You can’t miss this place. We had the banana peppers and the mushroom prik king. The ‘large’ plates are a good size for a main meal. Anything smaller and I wouldn’t have been full. Well priced for the area and absolutely delicious

WOW WOW and WOW

If you like Asian fusion this is a must try. My wife and I are vegan foodies and this restaurant would be in our top 5. The whole menu is vegan plus they have a great selection of beers and wines. To top it all off the food prices are very cheap for Byron.

Delicious and fresh

Full vegan menu, you have the option of small, medium or large meals or you could elect to have a banquet meal which is good if sharing and sampling a number of meals. Fresh ingredients and great serving sizes, really delicious and flavoursome. Our fave was the sticky pecan date pudding.

Pros: Affordable , Lots of options , Fast and friendly service
