Not only do they make the vegan pasta dishes without eggs, but they use agave syrup for the vegan sauces in addition to using local vegetables. Vegan choices may include pizza, lasagna and two types of pasta. Last order taken one hour before closing. Open Tue-Sun 12:30pm-2:30pm, 6:00pm-9:30pm. Closed Mon. or Tue. if Monday is a public holiday. Irregular hours on public holidays.

I can't even express how excited I was to walk by a restaurant in Komae and see a sign advertising vegan options!
Read moreThis Italian restaurant is family owned, and the staff clearly understands veganism and is very caring and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to explain the dishes and let us know that not only do they make the vegan pasta items without eggs in the pasta, but they use agave syrup for their sauces instead of the bone char processed white sugar commonly used in Japan. They were also so proud to use vegetables from local neighborhood producers. Their website is not updated to show the vegan options, but they do have them. And they are soooo delicious!
We ordered the vegan pizza and lasagna. I think I had low expectations having had the experience of Japanese pizza being sparse on vegetables, but this one came loaded! Everything was tender and perfectly cooked, and their vegan cheese (made of chickpeas!!) was excellent! So much flavor in every bite!
I can't wait to go and try the pasta as well!
