Solid - Edit
This place is a literal stone’s throw from the Prague Castle area. First thing to note though is that it’s up three flights of stairs- no lift. So not the best port of call if you’re schlepping around luggage or a pram. The atmosphere in the restaurant is airy and pleasant, and the second story features a small balcony area where you can look out across the city. The menu has a mix of Czech and international comfort food. I went with the mixed starters- hummus, grilled peppers, avocado crackers, etc.- which was great. I got the goulash for my main, which was OK. They didn’t nail the plant based meat, which naturally is the centrepiece of the veganised version of this dish. Given that, the soup base could have used more spice. I ordered the Knedlín for dessert, and was likewise underwhelmed. Not terrible, but not great. I just wasn’t a fan of the dough.

Overpriced and mediocre - Edit
The food is very expensive here - starting 350 czk per dish you pay at least 100 czk more than in most other places. Naturally we had quite high expectations, but the food was just meh. The 'satisfaction burger' was very dry, the Lasagna super watery. We even had to pay for still water.

Not children friendly and a stupid concept! - Edit
The Vegans Prague isn't children friendly and not flexible. When you want to have the GF Burger for example, you must order the other two burgers as well (selection of 3 miniburgers). And you need to pay for them also. A very stupid concept. You need to pay for something you haven't ordered. This is also similar for the appetizers. Another point is that the Vegans Prague is very expensive. I can understand this because all the ingredients from the food they sell there are organic. This is one of the pros. That's why I gave 3 stars. The food wasn't tasty. Another good thing is that there is a lot of space for the visitors inside. The apple lemonade I ordered was water with sirup in it!!! It was so awful!!!

FYI there is sometimes outdoor seating with a couple of tables on the balcony. It must be seasonal and not available in winter.

Thank you for your visit and feedback. We´re really sorry that you didn´t like the food. You can always tell the service and they can change your meal for something different. The miniburgers are in the menu like this for a reason and you´re right it´s only all three miniburgers together, same with starter mix plate. Hope you´ll give us a chance in the future and we can fix our reputation. Have a great day.

Small, but decent menu - Edit
I enjoyed the cabbage goulash with dumplings. The few things they make they clearly make well. The venue is cute and at the top of an old building. Was pretty busy around lunch, but we had trouble making reservations before the place opened. Definitely get here early if you’re visiting during tourist season. A pretty decent meal, but as noted by others there weren’t great kids options. My daughter ordered the burger with a side of guacamole and just ate the guacamole.

Good food, but pricey and not child-friendly - Edit
Good vegan food in a tourist area, but more expensive than the usual vegan restaurants in Prague.
Read moreNo child-friendly dishes except white rice, no modifications, even upon request. Almost gave just 3 stars for that.
Awful overpriced home-made lemonade which is just syrup with water.

Great restaurant with a view of the castle - Edit
We went to this restaurant with my non- vegan family. We had five different dishes and 3 desserts between us and really liked all of them. We managed to order way too much food and were offered takeaway box. Staff was very friendly and attentive. They even brought a water bowl for our dog. Would recommend!

Great options of Czech food. We had the goulash and the special of the day that was also a goulash. They were both delicious. Wonderful place to eat - Edit
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Brought a bowl of water for our dog without us asking. They were over the top helpful with all my questions. Any language barrier they were happy to work through.
Read moreStarter mix plate: nice appetizer to share. Not a lot of food when sharing. Especially liked the hummus and guacamole with raw crackers.
Soup of the day: bean soup, it was very delicious and there was a lot of it. Very filling.
Hot chocolate: The Best!!!!! They give you sugar on the side so you can sweeten it how you like. I loved it without any sugar. Bonus, it stayed warm throughout the whole meal.
Cabbage goulash: good Czech spicing flavors not common in the west. More “meat” than expected.
Baked sweet Potato filled with guacamole: loved this dish. The salad on the side was perfectly flavored with light dressing. Sweet potato was very good, guacamole had a great flavor, and outer skin had interesting spicing. We couldn’t figure out the spicing on the skin, but it was pleasant.
For dessert we had the apricot dumplings: They were fantastic!!! Not how I imagined them but tastier.

delicious vegan experience - Edit
You have to earn your way to the restaurant 😉… up you go many many stairs - and it is worth it … in a beautiful warm setting with low wooden and beautifully decorated ceiling it feels very cosy to sit down. The menu offers a variety of dishes. We went for the Gulash and the burger. The burger had a self-made patty, which I enjoyed very much in combination with the sauce. As a side were roasted potatoes, which were just delicious. Very recommendable place when in Prague…
