Interesting place with a lot of potential - Edit
On our first visit, we really loved Veganeeta-they served us lovely meals (vegan burger and a curry), but also amazing desserts and coffees.
Read moreOn the other day, their meals were a bit disappointing and the desserts weren't fresh. The portion of pasta was too small and both dishes tasted rather mediocre.
On the third day, we've decided to try their goulash for lunch. The flavour was very good, but the portion (even for a first course meal) was really too small.
The staff was polite and the interior is very nice.
Quality of this place varies and there is definitely a room for improvement. The portions should be bigger (we found only their burger to be really filling) and there could be positive changes made in the menu. We feel that the overall ratio of price we've paid and what we got for it wasn't that good.

We have been to their previous location several times and this has always been our go to vegan place. Now we came at 10:30 and it turned out that until 11:00 they only have a limited breakfast menu on which the only savory option is a chickpea omelette. We ordered that and it was quite disappointing. The omelette came with a quite small side salad a small cheesy sauce and two small slice of bread. The salad had beside of olive oil no dressing and the omelette was just like a big savory pancake with no extra veggies or anything. There was no real flavoring and all in all the whole dish was very dry and I’d definitely liked more veggies and a bit more complexity for that price.

Must-visit at Lake Balaton - Edit
During our holiday at Lake Balaton, we naturally had to make a stop at Veganeeta. A completely vegan, beautifully decorated restaurant that makes you feel at home. We had the chickpea burger with fries and cheesecake and pistachio affogato for dessert. Everything was delicious and we will definitely come back here on our next visit to Hungary

Unsere Nachbarin hat uns dann den Tipp gegeben. Wir haben unseren Sohn besucht der in Budapest studiert und sind an seinem Geburtstag hier zum Essen gewesen.
Es war mega lecker, super schön angerichtet, aus frischen Zutaten und das Ambiente ist sehr schön und modern. Das ist ein wirklich sehr gutes Beispiel dafür, dass man auf gar nichts verzichten muss, sondern vegan auch geschmacklich eine Bereicherung sein kann, ganz ohne Tierleid.
Wir kommen normalerweise nicht dazu Urlaub zu machen, da wir uns um viele gerettete Tiere kümmern. Daher ist es umso schöner so ein Restaurant zu entdecken.
Wir waren sowieso über vegane Angebote in der Gegend positiv überrascht,
aber ein Restaurant in dem alles rein vegan ist, ist natürlich nochmal was ganz anderes. Wir konnten auch unseren Hund ( veganer Tierschutzhund aus Rumänien ) mitbringen. Es gibt auch eine schöne Terrasse, die man bei schönem Wetter nutzen kann.

Wir waren schon mal vor ein paar Jahren hier als es noch am alten Lokal war. Wir hatten dieses Mal nur einen Eiskaffee und Knödel. Beides war okay, hat aber noch viel Potential. Aber ich bin mir sicher, dass es viele leckeren Speisen gibt. Auch das neue Lokal ist sehr schön und liebevoll gestaltet.

I was recommended to come here by a friend and I am so glad I did. The food was so so good and a really nice place too with super friendly, and helpful staff. I had the goulash for starters, garlic roasted celeriac followed by Hungarian trifle. Definitely worth coming here. Delicious

Gorgeous place, divine food - Edit
Veganeeta recently moved to a new location, which we checked out in June 2023. The interior design is absolutely beautiful; every little detail is carefully designed and implemented. Staff are super friendly as well, they even managed to find us a table outside despite being full, when we felt a bit unwell inside with kids being a bit too active and loud (we had had a rough day and felt easily frustrated).

We ended up ordering the saffron cauliflower risotto and “goat cheese” salad and sharing both, and they worked perfectly together (the risotto would move been a a bit dry without the salad I think). I was also thrilled to find vegan affogato for the first time, among the long list of iced and hot coffee specialties. I can only recommend this haven, it’s such an elevating experience!

Great food, great service, the restaurant and terrasse are really pretty but I understood that they will relocate very soon in what appears to be an even cooler place (Google Maps took us to the new one at first). I wasn't super hungry and just had a tasty gulash soup with no main course but my friend loved her burger and fries.

There are very few vegan sit-down restaurants in Hungary, and Veganeeta is one of them. Apart from the unique á la carte menu, the beautiful design and the lovely staff made our experience there a very special one.

Nem vagyunk helyiek, de évente kb. 2x elmegyünk a Veganeeta home-ba, mert nagyon szeretjük. Árban kicsit magasabb az átlagnál, viszont kiváló a környezet, amit kialakítottak és mindig újszerű a választék, különleges dolgok próbálhatóak ki. Ami nekünk még hiányzik talán, az a desszertek szélesebb választéka. Nagyon kedves és figyelmes mind a tulajdonos hölgy, mind a személyzet. Ha idejövünk, tudjuk, hogy valami jó vár ránk.
