Tastiest food in all of Laos - Edit
After having traveled from the 4000 islands down south to Luang Prabang in the north, I came across the tastiest food in all of Laos at the Vegan Center Cafe in Vientiane. They have a huge amount of options on their menu, with mock meat but also tofu & a fantastic range of vegetables. I particularly recommend the Three flavored duck or the Skyway chicken in black pepper sauce. The staff are super friendly & the service is very fast. Portions are big, the prices are cheap & they have WiFi. A must visit for all vegan travelers. They are next door to Reunion cafe.

So many options - Edit
This was just round the corner from our hostel so we ate here three times and every time the food has been great and huge portions. The menu is so big so its quite hard to decide what to choose - we tried the curry puffs, chicken skyway with peanut sauce, deep fried pork, mushrooms and tofu and teriyaki chicken and the first two were our favourite but all were really good. They use meat names in the menu which would usually be a bit worrying but they have a sign on every table reassuring you that everything is vegan and they just use the meat names as descriptors.

Most delicious vegan food ever. - Edit
Try the 'chicken skyway with peanut sauce' and the "rice and peas", we've been there 3 times now. Such a good find. Lovely friendly helpful staff.

Fully Vegan at Vientiane! - Edit
Great little find. Fully vegan, friendly service and give you local vibes.
Read moreI had vegan pork laab and vegan chicken green curry, boyfriend had vegan wonton soup and vegan duck red curry. All dishes were very delicious. My only criticism would be - if has to be - that the curry was not hot at all. It was super flavoursome though and Uber Yummy! If you are vegan but not so keen on hot-spicy food you don’t have to worry.😄
Pros: Fully vegan, Local feeling, Small business

Outstanding!!! - Edit
First of all, the food is totally amazing! Ordered pork takoyaki, portion was good for 2-3 people. My father who hates vegetarian food, cleaned up his plate with a big rice portion. Soy bean milk is also not to be missed, which being served hot. Place is small, but clean and comfortable nevertheless, albeit without aircon as it's an open space. Lots and lots of options, you will have a hard time choosing which one to try. Menus are accompanied by appetizing pictures. Prices are in the middle range, not the cheapest for sure, but I must tell you, they're all well worth it. Oh yeah, the staffs are also nice and helpful. Although with super basic english, but everything is written in English anyway, so no worries here. Believe me, you have to try this restaurant if you're in Vientiane!

Fantastic!! - Edit
An excellent addition to the vegan scene in Vientiane. This cafe opened in summer 2019 next door to and is possibly co-owned by Reunion cafe. Although it is a local, basic place you can order dishes and the menu is huge. There is a lot of fake meat but if it's not your rag as it isn't mine, this can be easily avoided. I have tried several dishes here that naturally did not contain any. Unlike local veggie places it is open late until 9pm. Food is cheap and I was happy about this and was not expecting to get the quality dishes that I received. The salad, pad Thai and curry puffs all taste fantastic. Highly recommend! Delicious!!
