Had diner here with my family, my brother isn’t vegan but he really liked the food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The little kitty who walked and lays around made the evening complete❤️

Van Planten serves seasonal food, that's why they always have a different menu. It's not a big menu but it's still really hard to choose because everything is so good and flavorful. The home made cakes are pretty awesome as well. The staff is super friendly and down to earth. It's not cheap, but really worth your money. Would definitely recommend!

Went for a lunch this time (been there before) and although there were no specific lunch option on the menu they offered 2 bread options. Went for a bread with croquettes and a bread with scrambled "egg". They also had a nice children menu option consisting of fries with fruit/vegetables.... Great place, friendly staff and superb food

I really loved this place. Though the menu has a limited set of options, each dish is very flavourful and original in combining different (seasonal) ingredients. The vegan cakes that are offered as dessert were also amazing!

Supposedly the menu changes quite often, so I will definitely be back soon to try more!

Very chilled out place. Lovely food although not much choice. Assume they rotate the dishes monthly as it was a January menu. No English menu but Easily translated by the friendly staff. Great soup!

This restaurant is a vegan gem, there aren’t many choices on the menu, but if I understand correctly the menu changes with seasonal products. We took two appetizers and the two main dishes and all of them were amazing. The mix of flavours is original and perfect, there was nothing left on our plates.

This is a great vegan restaurant, very close to Utrecht centre. The service is excellent, very friendly and the ambience is relaxed and welcoming. There is a varied vegan menu, the food and drinks are excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I was very impressed with my visit here and I will definitely return. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high quality vegan food.

Great new all-vegan restaurant in the cosy Lombok neighbourhood. I ordered the red lentil dahl with papadum and it tasted delicious. Most draft beers are organic and from the (excellent) Gulpener brewery. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in this small restaurant is great. Highly recommended, I will definitely come back. It's just two stops away by bus (line 28, direction Vleuterweide) from Utrecht Central Station.

So, the till was crinkly and the coffee machine played up, but who cares? Fresh open this week, you have to put these things in context. With only 2 main courses on the menu, the card is unfussy. Food quality was high - vegan dining at its best IMO.

This new restaurant is a worthy addition to the city! 100% vegan. I had the figs as a starter, the lasagna as the main course and the raspberry “cheese”cake as desert. This food will please anybody, whether you’re vegan or not. It was delicious! Highly recommended!!
