Great food, friendly staff - Edit
Every time I go here I leave happy and feeling good about what I ate. When I first went I thought prices were a bit high for the amount of food you get, but it's so tasty and knowing everything is freshly made by them, plant based and organic it definitely makes it worth it! You can taste the freshness! My only other complaint is that the sandwiches have a high bread to filling ratio, meaning there is a lot more bread than filling. With that, I believe the positive of fresh delicious food greatly outweighs any negatives. The staff is very friendly and informative as well I highly recommend their sandwiches and fresh summer rolls! Delicious!

I love the food here - it's 100% vegan and quite unique in style. The owner/chef is very attentive and welcoming, and takes real care over the quality and wholesomeness of the food on offer. We'll worth a visit, and it you're anything like me - many repeat visits!

What a delight to find an all plant-based restaurant with no mock meats! They have a variety of dishes that could surely satisfy your cravings. The Mumbai Burger and bowl are both amazing! It has the right amount of kick! The Shredded Medley/Vegloaf combo bowl satisfies both my cravings for each dish so this one is a no brainer when I'm in the mood for a bowl. Their food is definitely of high quality it leaves you feeling good! I don't get food coma or feel like my tummy is upset at me.😄

Small new restaurant (open about 1 year we were told) in a shopping center. Modern, clean, pleasant. Friendly, speedy service. Homemade lemonade delicious, not too sweet. Whole grain spaghetti w tomato sauce & “veg balls” tasty, filling, with not too much oil. Paper plates & straws, plastic utensils. Order at counter, food brought to table. We would eat here again.

I had dinner at St. Veg last night and loved everything about it. The portobello mushroom sandwich is by far the most flavorful vegan dish I’ve had in the DMV. The peanut butter cookies are addictive and are now my favorite dessert. Thanks Ann and Matt!!!

We had the cauliflower bites, and a Veg puff, the Caramell tofu bowl and the shredded medley bowl —all were good. Veg puff has quite a bit of pastry around a smaller amount of vegetables. They really need to double the amount of vegetables in the bowls. This is a place I want to love and to visit often, and I will if they add more vegetables with the grains.

I had the banh mi. They don't need to add all that oil it was so greasy. Very small peices of vegetable and very fried small peices of tofu. I've had much better and fresher elsewhere. Bread was good though. Also it's expensive!

I am glad to hear that you thought the bread was good but I am surprised that you think our Shredded Medley Banh Mi is greasy as we do not add oil to the sandwich, at all. Perhaps you mistook the sauce for grease because we do sprinkle a little bit of our liquid aminos sauce atop. We also top each Banh Mis with fresh pickled veggies, cucumber slices, and cilantro. As to our prices, these are a reflection of the biodegradable non-toxic food/drink containers and utensils we provide, the high quality ingredients we use, and the local and organic produce we serve.
We work hard to provide fresh, healthy, and flavorful plant-based food a long with excellent customer service to every single customer that walks into our restaurant. We look forward to the chance to serve you in the near future so we can offer you a better experience and 5 star service =)

This is one of my favorite lunch and dinner spots in all the DMM! My family every week wants me to bring them home take out from here. Every dish is a home run, I have not found one I didn’t like! My co workers were very....curious....on how vegan food taste, and now I see them with take out bags on a weekly basis. Everyone from meat eaters to vegan will love this place! I can’t wait to see more locations all over the DMV!! *spring rolls are addicting*

I really like this place , they recently added sides to the menu which changed my opinion. I didn’t like going and getting just a sandwich but now that they serve an full lunch with side options I’m full all day.

Read moreAnyhow, this place is fast and easy. Check out the paper menu or the virtual menu, see what you like based on pictures, ingredient lists and allergens (soy, nut and gluten). Click, add, and voila - before you know it, you've got your order.
People love this place. There are many regulars, which is not surprising - this part of Rockville/ Gaithersburg has no other option like St. Veg! What a lovely addition! Veg*n Asian inspired (I think it's Asian inspired) cuisine - yes!
They have brown rice and greens instead of white rice for your bowls, but costs extra.
I'm waiting for them to have pho, but they have pho broth with their banh mi. They have summer and spring rolls, but opt for the two more interesting appetizers: coconut "cake" appetizers or cauliflower (deep fried) - lovely additions! I'm also waiting for them to have some salads, maybe dessert, but for now - sandwiches and bowls aren't too shabby!
Nice, natural, fresh and tasty. The food is not overly salted which is great. My only complaint is I like to eat, a lot, and if I were really hungry, a bowl wouldn't fill me up - I'd love to order more food or add in another size option.
All the same... You'll feel better eating here than probably anywhere else in a 3 mile radius (maybe more!). If I'm in G-burg and hungry (yes, I know it's in "Rockville"), this is my choice for Asian inspired veg*n eating.

I’ve been here twice now and loved both visits. The owner is friendly and helpful. I’ve had 3/5 appetizers (the veg puff is my favorite... so flaky!) and both veggie burgers. Enjoyed everything I had. Only suggestion would be to have real/large water cups for dine-in customers.

This place was a great find for my stay in Gaithersburg! The woman (I think the owner) was so friendly when I walked in. I ordered the flavor bomb sandwich with the pho broth to dip and the cauliflower bites. My food came out in less than ten minutes, piping hot, big portions, and everything was delicious! I also loved the eco-friendly packaging and utensils, and the overall vibe of the place was really refreshing.
