Looking forward to my next visit - Edit
Came with the Veg Society meetup last night and had a great time! The caramel tofu is terrific, I love that it comes with mustard greens and pickled cabbage—perfect balance of flavors. The owner is very friendly and accommodating too. Feels good to support a local woman-owned business!

The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the vegloaf bowl with half greens and half rice. The vegloaf was supposed to be the plant-based version of meatloaf but it was a bit too sweet. It wasn't bad, it just didn't remind me of meatloaf at all. Would return to try other items though.

This was one of the first places I tried when I first moved to Rockville. I love the variety and the staff was super friendly when explaining the menu. I tried their medly-loaf combo bowl, and although it was a bit heavy, the flavor was great. Definitely recommend going.

We had the Mumbai Burger and the BBQ Mushroom burger. Both came with tater tots. The burgers were really tasty. They look formed, like they are processed, but the lady said they don't have processed food. If you go ask for extra sauce. And extra ketchup. They don't give you enough.

Great Meal, Friendly People - Edit
Had such a great meal! The staff was so helpful when we asked what we should try. Ended up getting 3 different delicious sandwiches for 3 of us to share, cauliflower bites and summer rolls. Covid safe- ordered inside and they brought it outside to us so we could sit at a picnic table. Would absolutely eat here again!!!! So many choices!

Run don’t walk to try this place if you haven’t yet. I called in and asked what recommendations they had based on what I was In the mood for and my disliking of mushrooms. The woman who answered was soooo sweet and talked through the menu with me and made a recommendation for the vegball sub and cauliflower bites. Everything was so fresh and warm and delicious. The bread is baked fresh in house!!!! The marinara was fresh and everything was on point. Not enough good things to say about this place after my first experience there.

The Mini Sunshine Cakes are a great, light start. After trying the Mumbai and No-Guilt burger which were very good, my favorite was the Shredded Medley Banh Mi sandwich. I can't get over how good the sandwich is, and also has a GF option as well. You'd think the sandwich wasn't enough to fill up, but trust me it is. I usually pair it with some chips, though. Every time I finish a meal I can't wait to go back. The owner is incredibly nice and always a pleasure!

I love st. veg! It's one of the only local all vegan place around - making it the perfect go to dinner spot for myself and my partner. Everything we have tried here is amazing and they cater towards all types of eaters. For example, I am vegan and have an intolerance to soy and gluten and I can always ball out and get a main dish and multiple appetizers. While my partner is just vegan and can enjoy all the gluten he wants to. The service is also great - the owner is super friendly and nice. I would recommend the fried cauliflower and sunshine cakes appetizers and the mumbai bowl (if you like a lot of flavor). Those are my main go-tos! Definitely check them out.

Honestly, if I could give 6 stars I would. This place is fully vegan and fully delicious. Their Mumbai burger is truly out of this world (if you like spice). Their tots are super crunchy. Their sunshine cakes are packed with flavor. The only thing I didn’t love was the spring rolls, but maybe they were just having an off day.

I love the food at St. Veg, especially the medley loaf combo bowl and flavor bomb pho dip. I’ve tried many other things on the menu and have enjoyed them all. The biggest con is the portion size, which is tiny. I always have to buy two meals in order to get full, which becomes quite expensive, and all substitutions (e.g. greens or brown rice instead of white rice) cost extra.

Decent food, but don't DARE question the owner!! - Edit
Neither the owner nor her kitchen staff were wearing facemasks a few weeks ago. When I politely questioned her, she claimed the Montgomery County health department granted an exemption since all employees are her immediate family who live together.

It was obvious that she was pissed at us personally, as she was perfectly friendly towards other customers. Perhaps the health department had issued her a warning that she falsely blamed on us?! No! When I asked what's wrong, her response was "I treat everybody the way they treat me!" Except we were NOT rude or belligerent, simply concerned over an obvious health matter during this era of Coronavirus. The fact that we returned clearly showed we believed her explanation, perhaps foolishly, and harbored no ill will. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS!!!

Carl Berger, we are allowed to take breaks and a breather from the mask when there are no customers or food preparation needed. The health inspector is aware that my 72 year old mother now helps out in the kitchen and agreed that she should take breaks from wearing the mask all day. It speaks volume about the kind of person you are for wanting to hurt a small business during a global pandemic simply because I wasn't jovial when you were being condescending towards me. If you're going to tell a story, please tell the full story with all the facts.

The whole kitchen witnessed how condescending and belittling you were and yet, all I said back to defend myself was, "I treat people the way they treat me" when you asked, "how come I am so much friendlier to other customers than to you." I served you your food, thanked you, and I even gave your dog iced water. I'm not sure how that is perceived to be rude. No one would be happy or smile at the person who's rude and condescending to them.
Also, somehow I suspect the food is more than decent since you kept coming back but now since you keep harassing and being malicious, you and your wife are no longer welcome. We will call security if we see you in the store. Other than that, I wish you and your family to stay safe and well.

My non-vegan family has enjoyed this place on many occasions. I am personally so happy to have a vegan restaurant so close to home! The first time we went the owner explained the full menu and was so friendly and helpful. We like the flavor bomb pho dip sandwich and have liked all the appetizers.

The following are soy-free dishes: Flavor Bomb Pho Dip, Vegball Sub, No-Guilt Burger, Mumbai Burger, MBB (Mushroom BBQ Burger), Spaghetti and Vegballs, Spaghetti and Marinara, Mumbai Bowl, Mini Sunshine Cakes, Crispy Rolls, Cauliflower Bites, Vegpuff, Tater Tots, and all of our soup. A long with having soy-free options, we also offer lots of gluten-free and nut-free options.
Please keep in mind that every dish is made from scratch and cooked to order. This includes all of our sauces. It is nearly impossible for a restaurant to have an extensive menu without compromising both quality and timeliness. At St.Veg, we focus on quality over quantity and we put a lot of love into every single dish. We work really hard to provide fresh scratch-made vegan food to our community. I have nothing but positive things to say for this fantastic restaurant. It's a small cafe in Fallsgrove, with absolutely stellar food. The cook/owner took the time to introduce herself and explain the all vegan/organic menu. Every single dish we tried was absolutely amazing. We ended up ordering three more entrees to take home, and I can recommend those too. Favorites are the cauliflower bites, mushroom bbq burger, and the mubai bowl. Very good food!

No guilty burger was a win for me. - Edit
Got the no guilty burger. The burger sauce is good (looks like a bunch of mustard but that's not how it tastes). The tater tots are not greasy so that was good as well. They were a touch salty but I would definitely eat them again. The place is exceptionally clean (like eat off the floor clean) and they close in an hour. Also, the music playing is GREAT (chill, good vibes music). Can't wait to try more items.
