Yummy - Edit
The hours listed on HC were wrong (it closes at 1600, not 1800), but the lovely woman working there had mercy on us and made us the most delicious “tuna” croissants. If you’re thinking of going…go! 🙂

What a gem you have in Montréal. While visiting we im were looking for any vegan options and finally found Sophie Sucree. Outstanding sweet and savory options that were delightful. But even better was the staff. Great experience all around😋

delightful! - Edit
What a delightful little bakery! I wanted one of everything, but limited myself to a croissant aux almonde, which was incredible. The kind person behind the counter also let me order in my very bad French and did not correct me when I accidentally slipped into Spanish. And even if she had, it's still 5 stars because it is adorable and one of the best croissants i have ever had.

Brownie - Edit
On a pris le brownie et une brioche. La brioche était bonne mais le brownie est sec et n'est pas dense comme cela l'est ailleurs. Un peu déçue, mais ça dépend des goûts!!

Lovely Bakery - Edit
I ordered the croissants and the gluten-free cheesecake. The croissants were very good 4⭐️ and it's tricky to find vegan variations in the city. Probably not as flakey as a croissant made with butter but nevertheless very high quality. The cheesecake is made from cashews and had a lovely texture and came with a cherry topping. Delicious.
Read moreThe service is friendly and the workers are happy to converse in English. The bakery is located on a walk street and you'll find many charming retail stores along this strip.
Pros: Many Choices, Gluten-Free Options (2), Friendly Staff
Cons: Would Like More Gluten-Free Options

Sweet & Savoury - Edit
I tried the breakfast sandwich (croissant) and a spinach & feta pie. Both were very flavourful and filling. The pastry was so good! Perfectly flaky and the filling was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was huge! So filling!

Disappointing - Edit
I live nearby and I used to go often because it’s convenient and vegan but the quality is very disappointing.
Read moreThe croissants have that typical cheap margarine taste and grease that lingers in your mouth… Everything is way too sweet and nothing is refined. It’s like bad supermarket pastries.
I stopped going after they increased their price for the 3rd time in a few months. It’s simply not worth it.
There are way better vegan pastry shops in Montreal!
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Just not good

Incredible - Edit
I had a feta pastry, lavender lemonade and the regular croissant and WOW. so incredibly delicious. The person at the front was super sweet, they even spoke English which was great for my goofy non French speaking self. They also had a bunch of pro 🇵🇸 stuff. Wish I could order everything.

I tried the pizza roll and the scone. They were really goooood. My husband got the breakfast sandwich and the crookie and he loved them. I recommend the pizza roll and the crookie is definitely a must try.

Not good - Edit
Unfortunately the food is not nice. Very dry brownie, doesn’t even taste like a brownie. The ganache on top was nice at least. Pain au chocolat tasted weird too, wrong texture (not flaky) and nothing special. Nothing tasted fresh and we left feeling like it was waste of a visit, which is sad because we were so excited to visit a vegan bakery.
Read moreI hope it improves. And also it should stop with war encouraging propaganda stickers and messages around the shop, it felt out of place. Food should bring people together.

Satisfy your sweet tooth - Edit
The sweet pastries looked delicious, but I opted for a savory spinach and feta pie. It was fine, but nothing special (3/5⭐️). I also had an iced vanilla latte which was good (4/5⭐️). I would return to try some of the sweet pastries, especially the almond croissant.
Read moreUpdate: Went back for the almond croissant, which was good (4/5⭐️), but the iced lemon cake, though very sweet, packed a deliciously tart citrus punch (4.5/5⭐️)!😋 My son had the chocolatine (pain au chocolat) and thought it was good (3.5/5⭐️).

Won’t be back. - Edit
As I stood waiting for my food I noticed all the anti-Israel stickers, posters, and leaflets crammed into this tiny space.
Read moreTerrorists on posters being lauded as freedom fighters, genocidal “from the river to the sea” nonsense bandied about. Wish I’d walked out. I don’t need a vegan bakery virtue signalling at me with pro-Hamas propaganda. I just wanted a sweet treat! FFS.
Ended up giving my food to someone living on the street, won’t be back. Wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing a Jewish friend here that’s for sure.
Keep your politics to your private lives. Despite what you might want to believe, you’re not doing anything useful or helpful here except fuelling more discontent and war.

Pros: Location. I guess.

Lovely Vegan and Gluten Free Options - Edit
Quaint, modest bakery, so I wasn’t sure if they’d have any gluten free as well as vegan options when we visited, but they did (cheesecake and brownies). They were both very tasty! The cheesecake had a lovely tangy cream cheese flavor (very close to what I remember the non vegan version tasting like). The brownie was more cake like, but still delicious!
