Best Buffet!!!

I spent 2 weeks eating at this place daily. Best buffet in SEA!!! Cheap, huge variety, delicious. Lovely staff, great karma. Buffet had more than a dozen fresh, hot choices, plus some fresh veggies, crackers, filtered water, and soup.
Come an hour after they open as not everything is available right away. Also great location, right in front of largest supermarket in town (big C).

Pros: Price, Delicious and Healthy food, Endless amount

Cons: You tend to eat too much

Great vegan food with variety.

My wife and I are so happy we found this place. It is located across our hotel ( by the Yoga Barn) and the food is delicious and has rich flavors without using any onions or garlic or msg. Vegan or not, everyone should try this place.

Delicious mainly vegan restaurant!!

All buffet is vegan, gluten free and onion/garlic free... the soup is so yummy and the tempeh with tofu is out of this world! Restaurant is tiny but very cute and the service is great! You can't leave Ubud without eating here!!

Wi-fi

Such flavour!

One of the best meals I had in Ubud was this all you can eat buffet for only $5AUD. So delicious. Some of the cakes (sold separately) aren't vegan, just ask on the day. Highly recommend!

Vegan buffet

Perfect place in Ubud when you're hungry, vegan and love good food! The small restaurant is located close to monkey forest and has inside/outside seating. We went there twice during our stay because the food is incredible and we were hungry. The portions in other restaurants tend to be very small sometimes. They had pulled Jackfruit, marinated Tempeh, Tofu, rice, eggplant, long beans and several other dishes. The price per person is 50.000 rubiah which is roughly 3,50€. Tho the meals are all gluten-, garlic- and onion-free everything was delicious. Vegan icecream, cakes and cookies are also available but we never managed to eat a dessert.

Go there!

Wonderful

This buffet is wonderful - everything full of flavour and so so delicious... You pay very little and you can eat how much you want and it is really difficult to stop coz it's so delicious. The only con I have is that when the buffet is fully vegan, the cakes are mostly non-vegan :( :( All the most amazing-looking cakes contain eggs... Dear owner - if you are reading this - I love you but please, make the desserts vegan.

Pros: delicious, cheap, nice owners, eat as much you want, free filtered water,

Cons: non-vegan cakes

one of the best deals in ubud

Only 50k for all you can eat! You won't find anywhere that cheap on the main strip of ubud. Cakes and drinks are extra, but I recommend getting a chocolate milkshake, they put a fat blob of vegan ice cream on top and it's amaaaaaazing!

Bagus sekali!

This place is great! the vegan buffet is such good value and there are ten different dishes to choose from. Don't forget it's all you can eat so pace yourself.

They also do cakes but not all of them are vegan so check before you purchase. The vegan cakes are baked not raw which is a nice change, I tried the banana and passion fruit was incredible.

We will definitely be eating here again.

Wow!

While I can't say that I was a big fan of the cake or the ice coffee I had here, the buffet was absolutely sensational! The food was fresh and tasty, and not swimming in oil or covered in salt. There was plenty of variety with lots of protein dishes and vegetable dishes also.

You absolutely MUST try the vegan ice cream here. It was some of the best I've ever had anywhere.

Pros: Excellent food, Amazing low price, Really friendly owners

Serious Vegan Buffet

Yes it's true Vegan Buffet from 1pm to 10pm. I arrived at 5pm so it looks like a fresh amount of food has just come out from the kitchen. There are few Vegan Buffets anywhere except for a Hare Krishna around the globe. A special treat with plenty of options. SAWOBALI is also a nice little bakery as well as a neat statue gift shop. Enjoy!

Pros: Buffet has 10 trays of options, Fair price for a buffet!, Centrally located with lots of parking

Cons: n/a

Fully vegan (also gluten free) buffet was great as a dinner. Traditional balinese flavours, not too oily and many options for an affortable price. Really liked the food and the owners are friendly too. Tried those gluten free vegan cookies as well but the were bad...

Pros: Good value, Great food, Cute place

Cons: Desserts not that good

Great buffet, but gluten free vegan cake not so good

It´s nice to get to a vegan buffet now and then, because restaurant food portions in Ubud are often a bit small. Eating at Sawobali becomes cheaper than eg. ordering a starter and main course elsewhere. And the food in the buffet was fresh and they had also tofu and tempe + some kind of mock meat.

Only on the lowest row of the cake shelf they have some vegan cakes, they are marked with "v". But I don´t think it´s good that the vegan cakes are also gluten free (these cakes are marked vgf = vegan gluten free). I had lemon cake and the cake bottom was what the gluten free cakes are at their worst = not spongy, light or fluffy, but instead a clump of moisture flour. All the other cakes looked like they had the same kind of bottom. But I hope all are not the same.

At least on 22nd October 2016 they still had a couple of meat options on their menu, so it´s not completely vegetarian restaurant.

Pros: Great buffet, Buffet is cheap compared to Ubud restaurant prices

Cons: Vegan cakes are gluten free and not good, You may get mistaken that all cakes would be vegan

Fantastic vegan buffet and so much more!

Fresh, flavorful, variety of vegan dishes on buffet, which changes daily. Rice included, red or white, as well as soup. Today there is a mix of sautéed potatoes; spicy tempeh; scrambled tofu; mashed pumpkin; coconut veg mix; curried peanut leaf with red beans; and more. Simply delicious!! There was a steady stream of regular customers (including takeaways). I'll definitely be joining the regulars. No space left to try one of the mouthwatering variety of vegan cakes (carrot, tiramisu, best chocolate ever, etc.), or ice cream, so may have to make a second visit later on. No problem at these prices! 50k for buffet, 25k for large slice of cake. Seriously a favorite!

Pros: flavor, variety, selection, value
