They owners have changed, and the menu is diferent, with just a few labelled vegan options now. Not cheap fot what you get. Vegan rice looked like with ingredients cooked separately.

Just had the same experience. Went here because we knew it from previous vacations. Now there is just one vegan/vegetarian option as a main dish. A little dissapointing. We went without eating and shared with the staff why we weren't eating.

We enjoyed our meal on the outside on the terrace. Their menu changes seasonally but they offer several vegan options. We tried all of their tapas (they even had vegan brava sauce!) along with the seitan ragu and vegetable curry. Delicious, flavorful food and the ambiance made it a wonderful experience. Will be back for sure!

Staying in Begur, and looking for vegan friendly restaurants and discovered SA GARROFA.
Read moreWe did a 30 hike through a forest ( GPS works easily ) .
Not too sure if our waiter understood English too well ( our fault of course for not knowing that much Spanish ). Plates were taken as soon as fork hit the plate .
All forgiven though as vegan food was beautiful.
Hummus and roasted veg starter.
Burger and vegetables and vegetable curry with rice .
All really lovely washed down with mojitos.
Our most expensive meal so far but really nice . 4/5 as we felt we were a little rushed . Worth a visit

Cons: Useful to have a car . We walked through a forest, Service was a little rushed , Bill slightly more than we thought it should be

Wonderful vegan dining experience - Edit
Sa Garrofa is a restaurant, shop, yoga and meditation center near Begur, Costa Brava. Lovely space, food, and staff. Highly recommend! If you are visiting the Pals medieval village and Begur area, be sure to stop here for a meal...maybe a yoga class or meditation session as well. I would love to be invited to a wedding or special event at this location!

The restaurant & surroundings were beautiful, & our server was so friendly, but we unfortunately were not impressed with the food for the price. I had really high hopes too, having made reservations there weeks prior to leaving for vacation.

Read moreThey mostly use organic, local grown produce, but the best part is that they have an entire vegan menu, with vean entrees, main dishes and salads.
Would def recommend this place for a lunch, they have free parking inside of the premises.
The only think missing: vegan desserts.
