WOW! Truly the best - Edit
The best place to eat in Hoi An - hands down. And honestly, it’s in the top 3 of my favorite restaurants ever. Vegan or not, you will enjoy it, I promise - the food is just so tasty.
Read moreI stayed for over 3 weeks in Hoi An, and was lucky enough to find Rau Ơi Eatery at the beginning. Then we were there almost every second day. We tried a lot of dishes and all are seriously delicious - Saigon fresh rolls, vegan chicken rice, tofu poke bowl, vegan Thai curry, vegan pad thai, cao lau noodles, (the BEST!) pho, tom yum, kimchi hotpot, udon noodle soup... so so so yummy.
We also did the cooking workshop with Vang, which was a lovely experience. From visiting the Vegetable Village to exploring the local market and finally cooking back at the restaurant, it was the perfect way to connect with the food and culture.
If you’re in Hoi An, Rau Ơi Eatery is an absolute must-visit!
And finally, a huge thank you to Vang for creating this amazing place and for your warm hospitality. I truly hope to come back one day and enjoy your incredible creations again!

The best vegan food in Vietnam - Edit
We had such an incredible experience here that we’d honestly come back to Hoi An just for this food. We ended up trying almost half the menu, and every single dish was more or less the best version we’ve ever had. The pad Thai, cau lau, tom yum soup, pho, fresh spring rolls, sweet and sour, Thai curry, udon noodles, sweet pancake, and more. It really showcased the best of plant-based food. at some point we stopped being surprised at how good it was and appreciated that these guys seriously know how to make incredible food. All the meals also come with a homemade chili jam from the sister shop next door which is super tasty.
Read moreWe also took the cooking class and had an amazing time. It was so much fun learning how to make these dishes ourselves, and the visit to the urban farm village made it even more fun.
Special mention to Vang and her family for their incredible hospitality and warmth. They’re so kind, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. We’re wishing them all the best and can’t wait to come back!

Cons: Nothing

Higher price than other places of same standard - Edit
A nice restaurant with lovely staff. I felt like the prices were way too high for the area. I had a very good Cao Lao, and protein smoothie. The noodles weren’t that filling and a bit too rich for my tastebuds. Overall nice but too spenny to go back to.

Great place - Edit
Came here for dinner. Food was very good. Staff was friendly. The owner in particular was super warm and nice. She was teaching a cooking class when we were there and it was interesting to watch. I also liked the setting and the open-air seating. This is the place if you want a quiet, intimate dinner away from the zoo that is the old town.

fantastic vegan find - Edit
Rau Ơi Eatery is a fantastic vegan find in Hoi An! We tried one of the set menus ("A Round of Hoi An"), and it was a delicious way to sample several local dishes. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. Definitely recommend if you want to experience a range of Vietnamese flavors in a vegan-friendly environment

Amazing VEGAN food! - Edit
This place has it all: ambience, great food, big portions, excellent service…and the bonus…it’s vegan.
Read moreThe owner, Vang, is just wonderful. She has an amazing story about how she started her business (ask her!) and she really loves animals and cares for the environment.
They have a store next door that sells all manner of vegan products also.
The actual restaurant has a really open and visually beautiful vibe to it. It’s a nice place to sit and relax. The menu is extensive and and so is the drinks list.
They don’t use MSG in the food, it’s not too oily and the produce is fresh and packed with flavour.
They also do vegan cooking classes!
I’ve had several meals at this place but eaten it so fast I forgot to take photos!
I’d give it 10 stars if I could 😀
Pros: Great atmosphere , Super fresh and tasty food , Ethical

Great little restaurant - Edit
We had such a nice meal here. Entirely vegetarian and mostly vegan (other than some egg/cheese in some dishes). Staff really friendly and the vibe of the restaurant was great. Food was incredible and there were so many choices. I ended up going for the cao lau and a chocolate milkshake (made with coconut milk) and my friend went for a a tomato pasta dish (which looked so good). Lots of options, we loved having so much choice.

amazing food! - Edit
We ordered food via grab and it was amazing! Would definitely recommend the grilled Eggplant & grilled Potato’s as a starter, our favorites. Also good Juices. Maybe a bit more pricey for Vietnam but worth the money.

Amazing vegan cooking classes - Edit
Vang gives great, completely vegan, classes. We made Vietnamese pancakes, papaya salad and spring rolls which all turned out delicious and we had lots of fun making them. The additional dishes they served (morning glory and an eggplant dish) were also delicious!!

The food at Rau Oi Eatery is amazing! My partner and I tasted the papaya and mango salad, banana flower salad, the bahn xeo (pancake), a smoothie each and OMG! Wow! Such great flavours.
