Delicious but being wary of spice levels - Edit
Located within the Taste Park near the top of the shopping complex, Plantude is a bright and vibrant restaurant with plenty of options. Nothing is explicitly marked as vegan however, instead focusing on the often uncomfortably-vague term of "plant-based" which means variable things depending on the brand/individual in question. However, upon ordering from the tablet provided, the ingredients are listed for most dishes and so could be suitably scrutinised. Food was excellent, but for my less spice-tolerant partner, the inclusion of various chillis (as whole peppers, flakes and oil) on a dish otherwise not marked as spicy in anyway does give some pause and should be kept in mind for those seeking to visit.

Hard to find but worth it - Edit
It is on 7th floor in CVG Taste Park area. Hard to find must be their theme because Coex branch is the same!!
Read moreFood was good. Both soft tofu in hell and curry were very good. Tiramisu tastes like chocolate with cream on top. Nothing like tiramisu but still tasty. Decor is sort of bland and not very comfy to see long. Fastfood look but food good.

Good options - Edit
On 7F food court - there’s interactive screens where you can type in plantude in English and get directions. Staff spoke good English but menu is on interactive tablets in English anyway so very easy to order! Very tasty food and good options.

Sooo yummy! - Edit
In the coex mall next to Godiva. I got their only ramen on menu, and the broth did not disappoint! Thinking about returning to try the other dishes. Popular place among the locals so you know its good!

Plants with attitude - Edit
Just because of the funny name I decided to give "Plantude" a try. It is located in the large "ipark mall" on the 7th floor of the food section. In my case it was right in front of me at end of the escalator to the 7th floor (see photo), but since the building is so huge it has many escalators and elevators. The restaurant looks very clean and modern, but with a childish theme of basic colours and simple utensils waiting at the table. The word "vegan" is not used anywhere. Plantude presents itself as a plant restaurant where meat is simply "forgotten". Considering the location of this restaurant, that might be a smart move.
Read moreCustomers order by tablet computer, so no language barrier here. Being in Korea I chose the national dish: bibimpa (rice, vegetables and tofu). As the name was so enticing I also had "soft tofu in hell" as a side dish. The tablet computer was easy to use and the order was carried out quickly.
I prefer my bibimpa to arrive in a steaming hot pot that has to be stirred constantly to prevent the food to bake on the spot. At Plantude bibimpa is a lukewarm bowl of rice, carrots, lettuce and tofu. Decent, but not a very strict interpretation of the recipe. The "soft tofu in hell" is tofu in a spicy broth. And when the Koreans say spicy, they mean spicy. Yet, I felt it was more salty than spicy and not to my liking (but others may disagree with me). Also, the spicy broth did not agree with my stomach and for half an hour after the meal I still felt it sitting uncomfortably. To give it a positive twist: these plants certainly have an attitude!
Pros: convinient location, low prices, quick / easy service
Cons: simple recipes, food did not agree with me, loud and busy, even outside peak hours

Delicious food, reasonable price - Edit
It's in a mall at a train station and it's a bit difficult to find, because it's on the 7th floor. Because of the location, the atmosphere is not the best; however, the decorations are nice, it seems clean, and most importantly the food was tasty and completely vegan. I can definitely recommend the Buckwheat Noodles with Fried Tofu & Gyozs Dumplings for 14 500 Won [November 2024]. It is a cold and a bit spicy dish. I think the price is reasonable, not the cheapest possible, but also not expensive.

Very happy to find an all vegan place - Edit
We tried the Tofu Hell (not as spicy as anticipated, more of an italian twist, very tasty), buckwheat noodles with fried tofu and the mushroom&tofu stir fry. Everything was really good. You order on a tablet, which has english translations. Staff was also very friendly.

Fresh and really good in taste - Edit
Had four main dishes, all were great. The tomato stew with tofu is great with an awesome tomato flavour. The Sesame Tantanmen are spicy and also really great. The buckwheat noodles with tofu and Mandu were not so much of our taste but that's just because of personal preferences. The Bibimbab was also very filling and with good seasoning.

Great Taste - Edit
I have been to their other store before and didn"t have that impressed recollections of their food but I was really positively surprised by the menu and taste of the food in the Yongsan station branch. They had a very divers menu, including Korean cuisine and western inspired food like Pasta. We tried creamy Tteokbokki and Fried mushrooms and tofu, both dishes being really delicious! The price is comparatively high but still moderate and okay if you are looking for some more creative dishes than usually.

Tasty Korean Fusion Options - Edit
I've been enjoying opportunities to eat tteokboki so I went for the truffle sea trumpet cream tteokbokki. I really enjoyed it.
Read moreSo far, I had only had a pretty classic looking tteokbokki with the rice cakes in a spicy red sauce. It was interesting to get them in a creamy sauce that had a good taste of the sea from the herbs in there. The rice cakes were also longer than the regular ones I've had, they were more like a very thick noodle which I really liked. There was a bit of texture from some fried emoji mushrooms and some fried little green things that I couldn't identify.
I also got some garlic bread on the side which was largely fine but I noticed it was a bit sweet when I had a bite of it on its own.

I finally made it to Plantude and tried their delicious food! I had a hard time choosing my dish as all items sounded so good! I had the Tantan Ramen and was in heaven! The soup was so creamy with a nice blend of spices, chili, and toppings.

Not bad - Edit
Food was decent but all the fried veggies/tofu made it a bit much and I couldn’t eat it all. The sauce was really good though. Definitely one of the pricier places I’ve found in Seoul for basic food

Abbiamo mangiato due volte, sempre ottime proposte di piatti coreani rivisitati in versione vegana. Consigliato. Attenzione chiudono molto presto la sera rispetto agli occodentali.

It’s a mixed bag because the chili tofu and mushrooms were delicious. So was the curry. But the Rigatoni? Tasted like Chef Boyardee. A little too sweet. But service was prompt and location is wonderful.
