The high standard of vegan food - Edit
Walked into the restaurant and it was an old antique look. The restaurant was busy and we were anticipating to try the food. Nice warm environment with a large menu. The Tom yum we ordered was so flavorful and it was low oil which is what I was looking for. Would have rated 5 stars but it only deserves a 4 star because of the price.
Read more**BEWARE** this place is very expensive for Malaysian prices. They do have many options on the menu to suit everyone’s needs but you will pay the price on the bill. Definitely can find cheaper options if you look around on the happy cow app.
Pros: Many vegan options, Quick service, Very flavorful food
Cons: WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, No parking, Small portion

Top Penang Choice - Edit
During a 3 week stay this place became an absolute favourite. The laksa is delicious, as all the burgers, other noodle soups and the desserts too。 The ambience and service are also really good. A must if you are in the area.

Great quality all vegan food - Edit
Visiting here was one of the first times on our Asian travels where we'd been able to go to an all-vegan restaurant where the quality of the food and decor was really high.
Read moreSo many great options on the menu made it difficult to choose, but I don't think you can go wrong really. Fiery curry noodles were tasty, as was the satay and almond cake we had.
Pros: High quality, Lots to choose from
Cons: Pricier than other places

Excellent experience - Edit
We wanted vegan versions of local flavors and this place delivered. We tried quite a few things but I had a satay seitan that was excellent with lots of extra veggies on the plate so I could get all the sauce. The owner has a cafe Wholey Wonder nearby which we also tried. He has a great eye for location. Pinxin is located in a complex of old shophouses that have been refurbished and now all house nightlife businesses. Karaoke bar is just down the way!

Peace begins on your plate. - Edit
We were recommended Pinxin by the people at Wholey Wonders, selling it as a bit more of a fine dining place.
Read moreTrue to word, Pinxin manages to balance high end vegan cuisine with homely and inviting surroundings.
We decided upon the local style cuisine, vegan-ized accordingly. The Rojak was intriguing, sweet and sticky sauce but not heavy or overbearing. The Asam Laksa was a daring twist on the classic, no fish sauce meant that the kitchen must have gotten very creative to produce a plant based version, top marks.
Will try to return to taste their take on western vegan cuisine.
Peace begins on your plate, indeed.
Pros: Variety, Innovation

Good food, annoyed staff - Edit
They were out of the food we originally wanted but what we then ordered was delicious too. However the food was quite expensive and the staff was confused, unhelpful and slow.

Best Asian vegan restaurant we have been to - Edit
The menu here is amazing! We were staying nearby and loved all the Malaysian food we ate here. We kept coming back. We were surprised with the hericium mushroom in the dishes, amazing! We never had them, the taste and texture is mindblowing. The only one thing we didn't like was the burger we had. All the Malaysian dishes we recommend, same as the amazing pizza bagels and the best chocolate cake (we had it three times, it is that good!). Our favourites are the Nasi Lemak, the prosperous noodles and the Jawa mee noodles. Oh and try the hot Mocha coffee (with the chocolate cake ofcourse)! So yum!

Good food and lots of options - Edit
We didn't actually go to this restaurant but ordered through Grab since we weren't feeling well and wanted to stay in the hotel. The food was good though, very tasty. A bit expensive but may be that they have a higher price for their dishes on Grab (although price for packaging and delivery are added seperately).

Delicious healthy food - Edit
Beautiful restaurant with very friendly, helpful staff. The Hokkien noodles were delicious, tasted very fresh and healthy. The Rojak was nice but a little too sweet for me. Well worth a visit! My only downside was the price, it was RM38 for Hokkien Noodles, side of Rojak and a tea which is by far my most expensive meal in Malaysia - worth it for the lovely experience.

All Hype (coffees & cake) - Edit
Took my boyfriend here for coffee and cake for his birthday after reading such amazing reviews... Their cake selection was really poor on this day so we ended up going for a crispy almond cake which tasted like uncooked flour on the inside and burnt sugar on the outside. We also got a mocha, which had far too much cocoa, and a “premium” matcha latte that tasted sickeningly concentrated. Sadly we were really disappointed. But maybe their food is a different story?

Creative food, great setting - Edit
Creative menu with western and asian influences. We had 2 charcoal burgers with sweet potatoe fries. The taste and texture of the mushrooms on one of them was out of this world! Interior is very nice and classy. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. You can also buy some zero waste products such as metal straws and soap.
