Really beautiful restaurant, a small menu but good options. The smoothies are incredible but only served until 6pm. Liked it so much we went twice!

Great After 1:30pm - Edit
We originally tried a vegan burger from Pandora Greenbox at a food stall they had set up at Park Josipa Jurja Strossmayera for a spring food festival. We liked it and decided to try out the restaurant in the old town, which is located near the fish market. We'd advise eating here AFTER the fish market has closed (after 1:30pm) as the smell is pretty intense during the day. Our meal was tasty and the cocktails were excellent.

Defo avoid and go to FIG - Edit
Was really looking forward to eating here with a large table but were highly disappointed. The food was average and small portions. The general ambiance was bad and the staff made everything difficult. Also strange policies in place. No juice after 6pm, no tap water, can’t modify anything on the menu. Defo don’t recommend. Go to FIG instead. It’s amazing!

Solid choice some room for improvement - Edit
Pandora Greenbox offers quirky ambience and friendly service. The two vegan soups we had were lovely though could have benefited from more spice/flavour. The curry spiced pasta was good but the broccoli pesto pasta was one note and dry. The restaurant fills up fast so make reservations or go early!

Best of the limited vegan options in Split (of that I tried!) - Edit
I went for breakfast and dinner given the lack of other vegan options in Split. I had the Molly Ringwald (chickpea flour omelette) which was novel and not bad (the limited sauce was delicious!) along with the Garica Weed Dream to drink (very limey, would only recommend for the novelty factor).
Read moreFor dinner, I had the Erykah Badu (delicious walnut soup) to start and the Gina Lollobrigida (homemade pasta with broccoli and cashew pesto and chickpeas) as a main - the main was ok but unremarkable. The like 2 litre fruit infused water was as you'd expect.
I'd go back, particularly given the lack of other (non-fast food) options, and would characterise the meals as pleasant but not special.
Pros: Plenty of vegan choices , Novel combinations
Cons: Not cheap, Not every dish was delicious but tasty enough

Breakfast - Edit
We went to pandora to eat breakfast. They have four or five vegan options and thats great. We decided for the vegan omelette and was pretty good.
Read moreThe americano coffee (normal black coffee wasn't on the menu) was extremly thin and not tasty.

Average vegan food in the city centre, but overpriced - Edit
The place is very cute and the waiters were super friendly and helpful, but the food itself is overhyped. It was an ok meal, and especially for the pasta dish the portion was generous, but still not worth the price, at the end of the day it’s a plate of pasta 🤷🏻♀️

Very pretty, good food - Edit
The place was very gozy and beautiful! Food was good, not absolutely delicious but good.😄there were also multiple vegan options and i ate pasta with cashew pesto. It couldve been more spicy but it was still tasty. I was also hoping for some vegan desserts.

Lovely vegan hotspot - Edit
The breakfast/lunch menu (until 11.45) is very limited but the are several main courses for every part of the day. The inside of restaurant is very lovely and there is also a terrace facing the sun. The service was great; I had my food within 10 minutes of ordering (it was not crowded). The burger itself tasted very fresh but nothing too special. Just really tasty, especially considering Split is not really a vega/vegan hotspot. Pandora Greenbox is quite expensive compared to other restaurants, however. But I would say it is worth it.

Update: Went to Pandora Greenbox again for diner. Food was delicious. For starters we chose the Indira Gandhi, which was truffle hummus with bread. Not only did it look good, it tasted even better! For main, initially I wanted the Elena de La Vega(n), but they ran out of it. I guess that is a populair course, but unfortunately with only 5 main courses, it was very sad. The Gina Lollobrigida was however super tasty. Just needed an extra pinch of salt. As for dessert we shared the Portia de Rossi. Supposed to be an apple cake, but did not have any apple flavor. However, it was still delicious so I would highly recommend it.

Nice interior with lots of light and plants. Truffle hummus was nice but the salad was quite disappointing - leaves, tomato and chickpeas for about 70kn! Good cocktail list which had reasonable prices.

The food was amazing but… - Edit
The food itself was really tasty and we can especially recommend the noodles with homemade pesto!!!

Nice for dinner - Edit
Breakfast menu is very limited but came back for dinner. Dinner menu was just changing and they had introduced a new pumpkin risotto. Very delicious and definitely not your typical pumpkin risotto, different and exciting flavours, tho it was slightly more cooked than I'd like. House white was excellent and reasonably priced.

A bit disappointing - Edit
We were very excited to eat here after reading great reviews and seeing delicious pictures. And it was really refreshing to see that vegans/vegetarians can have a real restaurant experience instead of getting wraps in a take out bistro. So it’s definitely on the plus side! But apart from that, we were quite disappointed. We had an impression the restaurant was just not nearly as good as it sounded. We had a bean dip and a walnut soup as appetizers and while the bean patè was delicious, the soup was the exact opposite as it lacked completely in flavor. I can see the idea behind the dish but it could have used much much more flavoring. As a main we had the famous pasta with broccoli sauce and, well, it was disappointing as well. Quite bland and unimpressive. My husband had bad stomach ache afterwards. So al in all, we expected way more than we got. Considering the hype and pricing, we wouldn’t recommend it.

Lovely restaurant - Edit
This is a beautiful venue in a great location. We ate here twice and really enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The menu had lots of choice and the food was presented really well.
Read moreWe tried the pasta, risotto and orzotto and all were a taste sensation! The portions were sizeable, so we had no room for any other courses. There was an amazing choice of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
It was the only place in Split that we had a nice meal and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting, although you will want to make a reservation because they were so popular.

When in doubt choose Pandora - Edit
I was at Split a full week and been at this restaurant 3 times. Really nice staff and the location is also really good. Idk what’s the thing with the famous names on the menu, probably should’ve asked… anyway, I had a Missy Elliott chia pudding, that I really recommend if you go there for breakfast (need to ask to make it vegan, so they keep the white chocolate off it). Homemade pasta with pesto was also delicious and the dish I didn’t like was a risotto that tasted just too sweet for me, but I guess some people could enjoy it. Only thing I would complain about is they only have a few vegan options, but definitely recommend.

Ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Horrible risotto, ok otherwise - Edit
Avoid the risotto, it tastes like canned beans, sickly sweet and undercooked. I can't believe that's on the menu.

Good vegan options - Edit
We tried to come here one evening to be told they were busy and to come back in an hour, we tried to make a booking for later but this was denied, not sure why?? We returned in an hour to be told it would be another hour, so we gave up.
Read moreWe then came back another night to give it another chance, we were quite late so managed to get a table.
The venue is a little like stepping into a German beer hall (small hall) with all the wood and faux leather seating etc, but it was a nice atmosphere, I think the outdoor seating would have been nice.
The menu had 50/50 vegan options. So we ordered the burger and the homemade pasta, which were tasty and would recommend! The burger in particular had some great flavours.
We then ordered dessert which took a while for someone to eventually take our order, but 5 minutes later we were told the kitchen was closed, so no desserts.
The service was a little to laid-back unfortunately, which is why it loses a star.
Worth a visit, but you need to be early, late or have the patience of a saint to get a table in our experience.

Pretty food, poor service - Edit
Food looked lovely but don't come here if you're in a hurry, book or arrive early as we had to queue to get in and there was a queue most of the night. All the food was presented beautifully, however the meals themselves were a bit hit and miss. Service unfortunately was bad. Was kept waiting a lot, had to ask for cutlery twice for different courses, long wait times between courses. Other customers were also getting frustrated about wait times. Shame because clearly a lot of thought and hard work had gone into the food. Reasonably priced though :)

Acogedor - Edit

Best vegan food in split!!! - Edit
We loved it! You have to try the truffle hummus which comes with amazing bread. The salads are bomb as well, as a vegetarian you have to try the fried zucchini with peas and gravy. Great sugar free lemonades, lovely stuff! Only the zucchini carpaccio was a bit sour and not as good as the other dishes…
