Ci trovavamo in un paese non troppo lontano e abbiamo chiamato per chiedere conferma che avessero delle opzioni vegane. Mezz’ora dopo ci trovavamo seduti al tavolo e stavamo mangiando una delle torte di verdura più squisite di sempre. Abbiamo scelto il tris di panigacci con pesto fresco e gnocchetti al salmone 100% vegetale, ma ci hanno proposto anche del tofu preparato in vari modi. Ci è stato detto che autoproducono il seitan e che spesso hanno ragù 100% vegetale fatto da loro, così come le lasagne e le polpette. Oggi ci hanno offerto quello che avevano a disposizione ed il pasto è stato squisito, quindi penso che se fossero avvisati con qualche giorno di anticipo l’offerta potrebbe essere più ampia. A noi comunque è piaciuto tutto e torneremo sicuramente: avrei dato cinque stelle se l’app lo avesse consentito, nonostante non avessero dolci vegani (ma mi hanno preparato le fragole!). Excellent Vegan Options, Some of the Best Italian Cuisine I've Ever Had - Edit
One of the best restaurants in Fivizzano, this restaurant is owned and run by a local Italian family. Although they don't have a dedicated vegan or vegetarian menu, they advertise on a chalkboard that they offer vegan and vegetarian dishes and a few are listed on the menu. When there, mention that you are vegan or vegetarian, and they will offer a few options. They do speak English.
Read moreI tried their fantastic vegan lasagna made in-house, with vegan bolognese (they also offer a vegan lasagna made with pesto), both made with vegan cheese. I also tried a vegan salad with what appears to be vegan deli meat made in-house. Finally, I tried an Antipasti del terra, which is vegetarian (with dairy cheese; I didn't eat the cheese), but everything else in the dish is vegan, including various vegan spreads, which were incredible. Finally, they have a tagliatelle al fungi porcini, which is vegan, which I didn't try.
There are vegetarian options in Fivizzano, but not many vegan options, and indeed not many that are made in-house, with as much love as these dishes were made. I will definitely be returning.
