Read moreImmer mal wieder nutzen wir in Aachen die Gelegenheit, beim Oecher Eis-Treff vorbei zu schauen. Das Eis mögen wir schon sehr lange, es gibt eine kleine, aber sehr leckere Auswahl. Ein paar vegane Sorten – immer das Fruchteis, manchmal das Monat- oder Überraschunsseis - gibt es, für uns dürften es aber ruhig ein paar mehr werden. Vegane Sorten sind gekennzeichnet, ebenso die Saucen und Garnituren. Chef, Chefin und auch alle Aushilfen sind immer total nett und freundlich.
Toll ist, dass auch Waffeln und Kekse vegan sind. Mit essbaren Löffeln soll der Müll reduziert werden, das ist definitiv besser als Plastik. Wir bringen seit Jahren möglichst unsere eigenen Löffel schon mit. Dann geht es mit dem Hörnchen in den nahe gelegenen Frankenberger Park, wo wir es uns ganz entspannt schmecken lassen ;).
Wer mag kann sich das leckere Eis übrigens auch mit nach Hause nehmen, es gibt Gefrierschrank gerechte Dosen.
Wir freuen uns immer, wenn ein Monatseis oder eine Sorte Überraschungseis auch vegan ist.

When in Aachen we like to take the opportunity to eat some vegan ice cream at the Oecher Eis-Treff. There are already some vegan choices, but could increase in quantity. The heads and all members of the stuff are very friendly.
We like the vegan cornets and biscuits. They try to reduce waste by using eatable spoons. That is better than plastic, but we bring along our own spoons. Once we got the ice, we walk to the Frankenberger parc just a few steps away to enjoy and relax.
Who likes may carry a box of ice cream for home, they use boxes for the refridgerator.
One type of ice cream changes monthly and sometimes you might find by suprise a new sort, which luckyly will be vegan.
Pros: vegan cornets and biscuits, fresh and fruity sorbets, friendly stuff

They offer a few fixed icecream flavors from which most of the fruity ones are vegan. Also there is an additional icecream of the month or surprise icecream. The cones and edible spoons are vegan as well

This place is very popular around town and has changing flavors of vegan ice cream on their menu. Waffles are vegan as well, as well as some of the toppings. Especially in the warmer months it can be long lines, so bring some time when the sun is shining. The park right next door is a great place to enjoy your ice cream!

Sweet little icecream cafe near the Frankenberger Park. You can get really good vegan icecream there, they have always a few vegan sorts. They also serve monthly changing sorts and suprise icecream, which are sometimes vegan as well. You can sit down in the comfy cafe or take your icecream to go and sitdown in the nearby park.
