The man on the table next to us had a bite of his meal and said “I’ll go vegan now”

Best Restaurant in Byron Bay - Edit
We stumbled across this restaurant whilst on a two week vacation- ended up being the best meal experience and food we had in Byron. We were in a group of 4 and everyone was eager to go back ASAP. Service is outstanding and menu had a wide availability of lots of options. Calamari and Pasta were clear standouts. Can’t wait to go back.

Wow this place is so good! Amazing food and lovely setting. This time I went for the calamari , bruschetta and pate followed by the chocolate brownie. It was happy hour between 5-6pm highly recommend the lychee Martine!!! It is a little pricey so just the one visit each time I’m in Byron. If your not a poor vet nurse and can afford to eat out all the time this is the place to go!

Ive been here many times. They have some really good things on the menu, and some not so good. They are constantly working on the it.
Read moreTheir biggest problem is their success. As their popularity increases, so do their prices, while their serving sizes decreases. They now charge $12 for 3 brussel sprouts. Unfortunately Byron is so busy at the moment, No Bones will probably get away with this for a while.
Another issue is their dishonesty about how they create their mock meat dishes. They claim to make everything in house, but my friends who have worked there tell me otherwise. I have asked their manager a couple of times and been told the same lies.
Pros: Best in Byron
Cons: Getting stupidly overpriced for some dishes, They buy frozen mock meats and lie about it

We made a booking for 5:30pm and we’re seated promptly after arriving. After waiting longer then expected to be asked for drinks I had to ask the bar for drinks myself.

The meal was nothing short or perfection. Delicious, mouthwatering, perfection.
Unfortunately, this is where the honeymoon ended for us.
After clearing our plates and them being removed, we waited about 30 mins. Despite attempts to get staff attention we were left ignored. No offers of desert, no offers of drinks, no bill. Nothing.
I had to approach the till as we were sick of waiting. Any desire for desert or after drinks completely eroded.
The food was amazing, the customer service however, sucked.

Had both breakfast and dinner here whilst I was visiting and everything I ordered was incredible. The ‘egg’ is amazing. Loved the ‘calamari’ was better than anything I’ve had prior to being vegan. The duck pancakes were the best I’ve had. Staff are super friendly and great atmosphere!
