An oasis of calm and great food in Florence! - Edit
This restaurant is amazing! I love that they do simple vegan Italian food (I'm Italian!). Often many restaurants try to prepare fancy dishes, nouvelle cuisine style, but at Nirvana you can find simple and amazing food! The carbonara is the closest thing you can get to the traditional non vegan one. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome - Edit
I had dinner with my boyfriend at this cute and quiet vegan place and we were both surprised by the amazing food and the low prices. Although my boyfriend is often reluctant to eat vegan or even vegetarian he really enjoyed his supper, and so did I. We shared an appetizer made with hummus and chutney, he had some pizza aubergines and I had quinoa with asparagus. Even the desserts were delicious! Give it a try!

Excellent vegan food - Edit
Really good vegan food here. Carbonara, rice with mushrooms and stroganoff were excellent. Best carbonara replacement I have found so far, with extremely realistic veggie Parmesan cheese. House wine was okay, probably try the chianti next time and we were very sad to hear the tiramisu was not vegan but the pear chocolate pie was quite good.

Firstly, this place is at least 85% vegan. Secondly, it's absolutely amazing.

After a long walk having a sore throath I walked around in Florence and Happy Cow found this restaurant.
Read moreI was offered a fresh ginger tea and ate a lovely fresh vegetarian vegetable soup and a dessert.
One day later I sat on the terrace outside enjoying the mid-day lunch for a set price under 15 euro.
Again, great and tasty.

Delicious - Edit
The food was amazingly tasty and fresh, just perfect. The vegan cheese on the seitan was probably the best I ever had. The prices are low and the service fast and friendly. It really exceeded my expectations, I will be back soon.

My boyfriend and I came here on vacation and were charmed by this place. We enjoyed our dishes and shared a sweet little tiramisu. We were sad to see that there weren't many customers and hope that the place gets more business soon. Restaurants like these should not go under!!

Listed twice on Happy Cow, but same place - Edit
Has non-vegan menu items marked, but nothing on the menu was marked as such. There is an allergen poster for the desserts at the display case that clearly lists milk (latte) for the tiramisu but it was not marked as not vegan on the menu. We did verify the items we ordered were vegan and had some really fanastic food that was certainly worth our walk.

Interesting Lunch, would like to go back to try Dinner as well - Edit
My daughter and I went to Nirvana recently for a daddy/daughter excursion and we both enjoyed the food and experience at Nirvana. I was surprised at the size of the restaurant - lots of seating inside and a good amount outside as well. The lunch menu was fairly basic, I had a first of herbed quinoa and a second of steamed vegetables. Again, very basic but the flavor of the food came through nicely and the ingredients seemed all quite fresh. My daughter had a vegeburger which she described as the best vegeburger she's ever had (and she's had a number of burgers). The staff were friendly and we will definitely return. I'd like to go back in the evening for dinner as the place has great ambiance and I think if would be a fun and tasty night out.

Very average food with a side of bad service - Edit
Not impressed. Very bad service. Small servings and food very tasteless. First the waitress asks twice for our drink order, then brings out wrong drinks for both of us. We get no bread with meal even though locals are getting bread. We ask for it and still get none. Waitress not friendly, just throws plates on table. I had oriental rice - 1/2 a cup of rice no vegetables or anything, just rice. Very dissapointing, less taste than a packet of Uncle Bens rice( at least that has something resembling vegetables in it) The waitress can't even use the eftpos to pay by card., so forced to pay cash.

Pros: Setting outdoors very nice under magnolia trees., Good variety on menu, Located in nice area
Cons: Very bad service - a smile goes a long way!, Small serves of bland tasteless food
