Vegan Fast Food! - Edit
Pretty good vegan fast food. I liked the vegan chicken bacon sandwich and the shakes. I feel like the food and service was better at the Portland location I visited, but this is still a good option if you are in the area.

Innovative Vegan Veggie Burgers, Fries, and Shakes - Edit
It was my born day. A call for a celebration. Had been to Next Level Burger in the East Bay when they first opened when I lived in Oakland yet this was a first time to visit NLB in the City.
Read moreWent w/ a friend to celebrate the occasion. We are both vegan & excited to see so many plant based options of classic American cuisine here gone vegan. A few welcome new additions to the menu since I last went to NLB in the East Bay.
We shared a large order of baked organic skin-on sweet potato fries. My friend went w/ a small hand-spun & house-made peanut butter cup shake w/ combination of half soy & half coconut. I tried it & was yummy.
I went w/ the artisan Signature burger that was organic mushroom & quinoa patty, organic avocado, smoked gouda vegan cheese, & garlic thyme mayo served w/ organic lettuce & organic tomato served on a sprouted seven grain bun. For those who don't mind not to keep it not sattvic organic red onion is available upon request.
The veggie burger was quite alright. As enjoyed it & loved that it was fully loaded like the Velvet Underground w/ heaps of yummy toppings.
My friend went w/ the Vegan Chili Cheeze Dog that featured a beyond brat, organic house-made chili, melted cheddar style vegan cheese, vegan sour cream, & organic green onions.
She enjoyed it! We both enjoyed our innovative creative vegan fare yet we couldn't finish the sweet potato fries. All in all made an enjoyable birthday feast. Thank you for my friend for suggesting we go here to celebrate. Thank you Next Level Burger for pushing the envelope forward for yummy vegan veggie burgers to the Next Level!
Pros: Innovative menu of vegan burgers, fries, & shakes
Cons: Would be nice to have some more healthy items

Comprehensive vegan burger joint - Edit
After receiving an email from Beyond Meat to try their new Beyond Chicken on them via DoorDash, I placed an order for red hot chicken tenders and fries. I opted for the four-piece basket and subbed tater tots instead of crinkle fries for an extra dollar. The ranch sauce was pretty darn good. But in the 20 minutes that it took from pick up to delivery, the chicken tenders and tater tots had steamed in the Container and gotten soggy. They tasted fine, but everything was missing a pleasant crunch, which defeats the purpose of eating fried food. Guess I'll need to try it in person next time.

I was pleasantly surprised that they not only had vegan burgers but also vegan versions of other staples of burger joints: hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, chili cheese fries, milkshakes, and more! I’m more of a whole foods kinda gal, so I opted for their veggie style Signature Burger ($11.45), which was so tasty I wished there were more of it. The chili chz style fries ($9.95) were addictive, and the peanut butter cup shake (12 oz for $7.25 or 16 oz for $8.95) was scrumdiddlyumptious. (The 12-oz shake was plenty for two of us.) I highly recommend this chain in any of the cities where it is located (including Austin) to get your much cleaner version of an American diner experience.

Bet no one has made that joke before. I got the animal burger and it was delicious and filling--which is saying a lot because portions are a big concern for me eating out as a vegan.
Read moreThat said, it's a little expensive, but it's also San Francisco, so I didn't expect cheaper.
I wouldn't eat here often, but would happily treat myself here.

The Best Vegan "Fast Food" - Edit
This all-vegan fast food "American" style restaurant is located inside of a Whole Foods. They have burgers, fries, shakes, and even have a separate "kids" menu! My personal faves have been the All-American Burger, Special Tater Tots, and the Mint Chocolate Shake! Staff was friendly and helpful, and wait time was quick. The prices add up quick, but it's definitely worth it.

This is one of my go to stops in the city, whenever I’m attending a concert at Chase (which is often). The staff is really kind, and because this is beside a Starbucks, inside of a Whole Foods, you have a variety of drink options, but I recommend ordering a milkshake. You won’t regret it!
Read moreThe bean patties are amazing, and I just love how they have crinkle fries! This place rocks and ALWAYS satisfies. Just try it!
Pros: Lots to choose from, So far everything I’ve tried is delicious!, Milkshakes with different vegan milk options

MILKSHAKES - Edit
Hands down, my favorite meal is a burger, fries, and a shake. Next Level has it all, and they do it well! There are at least 9 burgers (meaty and beanie), tons of options for fries, salads, a kids menu, a crazy dessert menu, and SO MANY MILKSHAKES! I’m absolutely in love with this place. I also have to add that the staff is amazing! So friendly, helpful, and quick.

Great burgers, best milkshake ever - Edit
As expected the burger was vast and superb - and one of a large range of excellent looking options. It was nice to see both fries and baked options for fries. The real showstopper was the shake - fantastic to have a choice of soy, coconut or mixed base for it. I had a chocolate soy-based shake and it was incredible - super thick and absolutely delicious. Great staff too.

Wowza - Edit
You will not leave hungry! We shared the animal style fries and we each had a burger. I had the Mexicali and my brother had the fishless sandwich. Then we shared a banana split. It was too much food, but didn’t want to miss out. All was good. The establishment is very clean and modern. The server was friendly and the food is relatively fast. This is essentially a vegan fast food restaurant ala Veggie Grill. I would definitely go back.
