Good place hidden in D1 - Edit
Nice decent place with good quality ingredients and food. Service was good even if we were here quite late. Portions are alright and it's hidden in a small street.

Delicious Bahn mi with fake meats, tofu, and vegan mayo. Delicious! We also tried the coffee with condensed soy milk, which my non-vegan friend said was almost the same as a the dairy ones, which is high praise from him.
Read moreThis cafe is hidden down a little alley, but Google maps will take you right there no problem. English menu available. They do take out and dine in, where take out for the sandwiches is almost half the price as dine in.

I ate at this place twice during my stay in Saigon. I tried one of the bahn mi sandwiches, spring rolls, wontons and one of the salads. Everything was absolutely delicious. Also, good value for money! I highly recommend if you’re in the area. It’s close to a bunch of hostels, so chances are you will be😄

Went at 9am just as they were opening to buy banh mi for the bus (Giant Ibis bus stop is only a few minutes away!). It was delicious, packed full of tofu skin and veggies. Credit card accepted.

Food didnt have much taste, but a lot of black pepper, which was odd for vietnamese dishes. We had fried rice, fried spring rolls and some noodle dish. Non of them came close to the rest of our 3 week trip around Vietnam.

Read moreIn Vietnam we use pepper for many local dishes, so nothing special about using black pepper in some dishes, like in our homemade tofu sausages for banh mi. But fair enough that you didn’t enjoy our food. We aim for the doing our best and make everything from scratch without adding any chemicals or additives like MSG which is very common in Asia. Down an alley way on the left hand side. Delicious vegan versions of the food you want to try when you visit Vietnam with less hustle and bustle outside than normal. Food is incredible. Homemade kombucha. Wontons, spring rolls, specialty Pho, and Banh Mi. There’s Vietnamese coffee with condensed coconut milk so you don’t feel like you’ve missed out on traditional Vietnamese yums. Also ice creams and beer.

The food is good but as regular customers we like to sit at tables side by side if they are not busy. Tonight we went in and it is literally empty, not a single customer. But we were told to sit at one table. I totally understand if they are busy and need the tables but there is no one else. We are regular enough customers for the owner to know how we prefer to sit so they’ve lost 2 regular customers for the sake of not having to wipe an extra table which is about 2’x2’ and would take a good 10 seconds to wipe.
Read more3 main dishes per day and a range of side dishes so the menu is not extensive but the quality is excellent. It’s a very clean and has a pleasant ambience. Located right in centre of district 1 in what was previously the backpacker area so it’s very handy for anyone staying round Bui Vien. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby.
