Varied Menu - Edit
Lots of different types of food on offer here. I got the taco salad and my friend got the macaroni cheese (with a lot of the toppings removed) and they were both delicious and quite big portions.

Went for the first time and will be back! - Edit
Great place for vegan food - the oatmeal creme pie was definitely our highlight. It wasn't only huge but also super delicious!
Read moreAlso tried some of their new seasonal specials - the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese as well as the Pumpkin Cheesecake Parfait and loved both.
Watch out though, the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese is a bit spicy!
My husband had the Gastropub Burger which was good, too. The bun was excellent!
Lastly: loved the kids menu - our daughter is becoming a huge fan of vegan mac & cheese 😅
Pros: Great vegan options, The Creme Pie is amazing
Cons: Got the food in takeaway containers

Very close to attractions - Edit
Buddha bowl was a little plain, no sauces but the vegetables were really good. Shawarma bowl was excellent, and the crunch wrap was good too.

Buffalo Chicken Run Ranch - Edit
Native Foods has a variety of foods which made it my go-to spot while visiting Chicago over the weekend! It’s also a short walk to Millenium Park which is where The Bean (Clod Gate) is.
Read moreI had the Buffalo Chicken Run Ranch and it was great. I rate all of the plant-based chicken sandwiches that I eat and I give the Buffalo Chicken Run Ranch a 7.5 out of 10!
The plant-based chicken had a solid flavor, solid texture and had a perfect amount of sauce. It was a little messy (which isn’t always bad) but I look for that last bite and hope to have a little bit of everything left. It could’ve used more veggies such as lettuce, tomato and onion.
Pros: 100% Plant-Based, Variety of options, Friendly customer service

Super Yummy! - Edit
I really enjoyed the Poppin Jalapeno Burger, but it was a heavy on the Goddess sauce. I will definitely visit this place again.

Delicious food, grubby location - Edit
My family and I ate well here. Husband and I had salads (the Mexican salad was so good!). My kids got burgers, mac and cheese, soup (!) and more. Everyone was happy. Don’t skip the dessert parfaits, especially the strawberry cheesecake.
Read moreThe location itself was grubby and used up. The staff did their best to keep it clean and wiped down.

Food is good - Edit
This is a good regular spot. Some dishes are much better than others. Also if gluten-free is what you need few choices.

Disappointing but fine - Edit
I appreciate that they're was a vegan place nearby, but honestly just kind of dialing in the food. We got the meatball sub and a Thai beef dish. They were okay, at best. I hate to give a lead than glowing review to a vegan place, but alas.

Excellent! - Edit
The hot honey cauliflower was fabulous and the Thai beef bowl was delicious. Husband had the wasabi crab-cake and was raving about it as well. Debating going back for breakfast sandwiches in the am!

Vegan dining downtown appreciated - Edit
We spent two relaxing hours at this establishment. Two of us had the Thai “Beef” bowl made with Seitan; the others had the Reuben and the Philly, also made with plant-based sliced “meat.” The portions weren’t over the top in size. The food was tasty and nicely seasoned.
Read moreIt’s order at the counter then the food is brought by staff to the table. Given this hybrid fast-food ordering format, the cost was a bit pricey.
Pros: 100% vegan , Good service , Patrons can linger
Cons: Pricey

Skippable if visitng; good if local - Edit
I think I'd hit this place up a bit if I was local but being an out of towner I think it was skippable. I was disappointed by the chikn sandwich. A little surprised it's so popular.

Amazing oatmeal crème pies! - Edit
EDIT: they updated their dine-in packaging. Now giving them 5 stars!!
Read more(Before: Packaging takes away a star, but hopefully the packaging is still a symptom of covid.)
Everything else was great! My friend and I both ate the Cauliflower Chickpea Shawarma Wrap ($12.75), hers with regular fries (included) and mine with a seasonal soup ( $1.50).
Receiving the food only took minutes. Very quick and efficient. There are well lit nice bathrooms too.
UPDATE: I’ve eaten here again and I looove the cauliflower entree. The food here is healthier than vegan fast food, but it doesn’t skimp on flavor. One item that’s not as healthy, but is oh so scrumptious is the oatmeal crème pie. Truly, I am in love with it!

Solid Vegan Spot - Edit
I’m a Native Foods fan in general. The food is typically good at this location but accuracy tends to suffer, as does the customer service. Still, when hungry and I’m the area, I still swing by to eat.

Not a big fan of the Reuben - Edit
Didn’t like the Reuben as much as most of the other items on the menu! Def prefer Chicago diners Reuben. Was a bit smaller then I anticipated and just lacked something. First time trying the PB parfait though and that was really good!

Pop Vegan - Edit
Not that some pop vegan food is bad but this place hides under the cover of one of the only hip vegan restaurants downtown. It's not very creative and tastes just okay. Just another mediocre chain that takes the popularity of being the hip vegan place downtown.
Read moreOne thing that I'll note and why I gave it an extra star was their Oatmeal Cream Pie was surprisingly fantastic.
