I wanted to like it more… - Edit
I was super excited to try the vegan options at this spot. Had the vegan tamale and the sweet potato brownie. First the good, atmosphere was great, staff was great, and the rice and beans that came with the tamale were super good! But the tamale had too much masa and very little filling…I freaking love masa but it just was too much and not all that flavorful. Then the sweet potato brownie tasted like a weight watchers dessert or something. If I want dessert, I either want it to be decadent or I’ll pass…so that was a little disappointing too.

Good food at a decent price. - Edit
The vegan options here are good for a Mexican restaurant,I had the spinach and mushroom with avocado enchiladas.They came with a side of lemon rice and beans. The plate was portioned perfectly and the presentation was very nice. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the Carmichael or Sacramento area.

Delightful food with clear menu labelling! - Edit
I had the trio of salsas, the deconstructed guacamole, the plantain mole, and the vegan chocolate dessert. The food was fresh and delicious! The dessert could use a bit of work on the texture in my opinion, but I was very happy to have an option on the menu regardless!

Mole! - Edit
The plantain mole was so tasty and filling! We also ordered the mango tostadas. They were pretty small, but delicious. They have a section on their menu that is vegan. The restaurant itself was spacious and had an upbeat vibe to it. There’s also a lot of outdoor seating available. Waitress was pleasant and efficient.

I love the vegan potato taco and the guacamole chips and salsa are so good too. They also have vegan rice and beans which is also delicious!!
