Tasty bagels, friendly service

I was a little apprehensive about visiting Kismet because there was one bad review listed below that gave me pause. However, when I walked by, there were clear displays of LGBTQ flags, so I stopped and gave them a chance, and I'm glad I did. There were three different vegan bagels, and a vegan cream cheese. I tried the everything bagel and vegan cream cheese and it was quite good. I also asked about the 2 vegan bialys, and the server wrapped them up for me to take home and try later. The service was very friendly. When I inquired about non-dairy options for the coffee, while they didn't have any, they were able to direct me to a nearby location that did (and hook me up with a discount!).

Pros: Friendly service, Clear labels

Kismet Bagels is not a safe place to work

So my partner was just unfairly fired after 2 years of working at Kismet with no notice. She had been job searching for months because the working conditions there have becoming unbearable. She was the only employee getting paid what the original rate was and when other employees found out from talking with her she was warned and told to not discuss pay. Which is illegal btw! Several queer/trans employees were unfairly fired. One employee was fired due to being late when her car had broken and she was relying on the bus system to get there. They have cut corners on quality and procedures because they care more about turning a profit but somehow they can afford a Porsche!!! Jake and Alex Cohen are nepo babies and this is their third business the other two failed. There is constant turnover because the working conditions are unacceptable and people are fired left and right. I made a post on my instagram about it at CVT_222 if you guys can run it up and share it! There is so much more I could say but my partner has all the receipts and documentation of what has been going on over there. BOYCOTT KISMET BAGELS

Balanced, chewy bread

I've been twice the past month and they've only had the Caramelized Onion as the Vegan option. I've tried the pescatarian option, with salmon before too. Recently the cashier gave me the little herb and oil sauce to go with it, and that made the Onion option almost even more delicious. The sweetness of the onion, with herbs, and the bialy that is not too chewy felt satisfying to me. For $6, try it out! The fish is a little more.

Pros: Flavor, Texture , Price

Cons: I didn't know they had the herb sauce before!, But they get very busy., And sell out in the afternoon.

Good vegan bialys

I had never tried bialys and I have to say they are as good as bagels. In this small shop they had two vegan bialys when I was there. I tried the onion one and really enjoyed it. Prices are good too

Pros: Original food, Cheap
