A cozy vegan cafe and community art space. Menu is fully plant-based since Sep 2021, and nearly everything is locally sourced. Opened Nov 2015 in a lively neighborhood (Besiktas). Language, dance, photography, meditation, acting and music lessons are planned to take place here with moderate pricing. Construction materials used in the cafe are primarily recycled or rescued from street. So much wood and almost no plastic. NA means no in Kurdish and Persian and stands for no to consumerism, expensive life, animal exploitation, violence against women and more. Open Tue-Fri 10:30am-8:30pm, Sat-Sun 9:30am-8:30pm.

Great taste, beautiful ambience - Edit
Being for the first time in Istanbul, we hoped to dine at a place where turkish flavours could be tasted. It was beyond our expectations. The food was so tasty, nicely served and and was the real vegan istanbul. On top of it there is a nice urban atmosphere where you can relax and chill.

Nothing Not to Love - Edit
I loved my experience here. The staff is wonderful and took the time to thoughtfully explain each menu item. I chose the Bean Burger which was very tasty. And the space is comfy, cozy and interesting. Great energy all around. And everything is reasonably priced.

Lovely staff, good food - Edit
We came here a couple of times as we really liked the atmosphere, the owner and the food. Although the menu is in Turkish the staff will talk through it all and make recommendations. All the food we tried was really good and had a great chocolate cake too. Good prices.

Delicious - Edit
When it’s summer, I try to eat fresh things outside. The new vegan sandwich with vegan white cheese (like a feta) is so yummy!😄

Delicious food, good vibes - Edit
I loved the food a lot! Menu was in Turkish only, but friendly staff helped me translate. Lots of meat replacements, so you can try traditional Turkish food but veganized. Nice cozy place with books and board games. Only downside is that it's really sloooow service (as they even said so in a sign inside haha).

Nice and Cozy - Edit
Cozy atmosphere with nice music. Vegan burger was tasty. Fried were a bit over cooked, though. It would also be nice if they provided English menu, too. It’s also cheap. 👍

Great food and lovely owner - Edit
Been there for a meal recently and the food was delicious and the portions very decent! We had a chat with one of the owners and as I am terrible with names I, of course, forgot hers! But she was very helpful in pointing out activities and with the menu and all! It was a great place to be!

Friendly and cosy with good value delicious food - Edit
After struggling to find the cafe due to my poor address writing down skills I was warmly welcomed by Hanna one of the co-owners. She took time to tell me everything that was vegan on the menu and recommended the kofte which were delicious. I also had some coffee and just relaxed in the cosy recycled atmosphere! Hanna also gave me some info about how cats are looked after in Istanbul in communities which was very interesting.
Read moreI returned later with my friends when the cafe was busy and the vibe was very relaxing. The food, again, was delicious ( I had the vegan burger and fries) and very good value. The chocolate cake (with chocolate sauce) was huge and really good.
I strongly recommend KafeNA to anyone. Thanks Hanna for making me feel so welcome. I will be back next time I am in Istanbul.

Cute place, didn't love the food - Edit
The cafe itself is veryyy cute. Lots of places to work/study while you eat or drink something.
Read moreMany vegan options. There is one lady there who speaks English so that was helpful. Prices are veryyyy affordable.
I had the vegan appetizer plate. There was a few different types of alternative meats. And honestly none were good besides their version of Kofte. They add carrots inside with other things that I don't know. But the sauce they put on top is delicious. The other "meats" were very boring/dry and flavorless. It was a disappointment. I should have just gotten the plate of Kofte. But oh well! I wanted to try as much of their food as possible.
I also tried the vegan cake. It wasn't anything to brag about. Just okay.
Pros: Lady Speak English , Very cute cafe w/space and wifi to work, Unique vegan Kofte
Cons: other food was eh

Nice - Edit
Definitely enjoyed our meal but wouldn't necessarily come back.
Read moreMenu has quite some vegan options which is great.
The vegan pizza is very very good.
Tried some vegan matze, veganized traditonal Turkish dish. It was okay, but I can't really judge since I never had the 'original' dish.
Coffee wasn't good at all but the food made up for that.
Staff doesn't speak English much, might need to use Google translate.

Disappointed much - Edit
Food was just sad. We got a vegan breakfast plate which consisted of bread, some slices of cucumber, tomatoes and store bought vegan cheese arranged on a plate. We were still hungry after this and decided to get something more. Since the girl who worked there didn't speak any english, the owner (?) came to translate, but was kind of rude and unhelpful. We ended up getting some koftes, they tasted nice, but altogether it was way too expensive for very little food. Vegan menu is confusing, it is a listing of take away mock meats sold by weight mixed with meals like pizza. The recycling idea and interior is nice though.

Very tasty Vegan restaurant! - Edit
I'm in love with the Restaurant! The ambiente is beautiful. All the furniture and decorations are all recycled from different kinds of trash, which looks pretty natural. The menu includes vegeterian and vegan meals, which has Vegan products like "Vegan Succuk" (very tasty!) too. As an Vegan i prefer this Restaurant, you won't regret it!
