Opciones veganas y vegetarianas. Pedimos la ensalada con salami y alcachofas y una puccia que estaba muy rica.

Además, no cierran la cocina que es de agradecer cuando estás de turismo y se te pasa la hora del almuerzo.

We had lasagna and tofu salad. The lasagna was great but the salad was pretty basic. It was maybe a little pricey for what you get, but it was probably acceptable (just about)

Vicino alla bellissima Basilica di Santa Croce ci siamo fermati in questo locale - che tra l’altro supporta Sea Shepherd - prima per un aperitivo, poi viste le diverse opzioni Vegan anche per cena - personale giovane e gentile, tutto molto apprezzato. Peccato non sia un locale totalmente Vegan, da un locale così animalista (almeno sembra) me lo aspetterei..

Ho scoperto questo posto un po' per caso. Ne sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito. Intanto, nutro tanta simpatia per lo staff, dato che tutti indossano una t-shirt del noto movimento per la salvaguardia della fauna marina Sea Shepherd. Fatta questa doverosa premessa, posso dire di aver mangiato da loro una ottima lasagna vegana che volentieri riassaggerei

Read moreUnfortunately the vegan menu is greatly downsized at time of writing. Couldn’t get the right ingredients for the other dishes I was told, and they were unsure when they would and/or could expand their menu again.
They only serve bruschetta, salad with smoked tofu and a vegan burger. In a previous review I read the burger buns were bad, happily they chose to switch it out for tasty fresh bread slices. Burger and salad were simple but decent, a great occasional change for pizza and pasta :)

Pretty happy with our dinner here. Tried the vegan burger although they have a few vegan options such as hot dog, lazange and a salad. Only issue for me, same as the La Barrique a few metres away was the burger bread. For all their world famous pizza and bakeries Italians insist on using the most basic hamburger bun which is just not doing it for me - apart from this the place and the food were all good and I would definitely recommend.

Il Jolly Roger è stata una grandissima scoperta. Non sono vegana ma ho provato più volte le loro proposte vegan per curiosità e devo dire di esserne rimasta sorpresa. Uno dei tanti aspetti positivi, tra l'altro, è il menù del giorno che varia spesso l'offerta al cliente. Una lasagna vegana così buona, mai assaggiata in Salento!! Come, del resto, tutte le loro proposte. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante anche per chi non è vegano o vegetariano, sicuramente non rimarrete delusi. I piatti sono ottimi e sostanziosi, ambiente accogliente, il proprietario molto disponibile, ragazzi professionali e gentili. Ci ritornerò di sicuro.
