Friendly authentic little oasis in an alley off Chinatown. All vegetarian/vegan if wanted. One of the best meals we've had in Thailand in the last 3 months 👏👏🙏

Amazing vegan food in chinatown great price - Edit
I was in china town and feeling hungry so checked happycow and this just happened to be the closest place but when I got there I already was seeing the vegan ( jay ) sign that I knew meant theres vegan food
Read moreI ordered two dishes which I admit may have been a bit ambitious since the portions in thailand seem to be huge
The service was so good within a few minutes I had my first dish and there was a cozy seating area it is outside in an alley but that was a vibe and really felt authentic. The food was so incredible and the people were very friendly and helping me find everything I needed. I would 100% come back and I think you should go too
Oh and I didnt even mention the price.
I ordered 2 dishes which was really enough for two people and it only cost me 90 baht
Which is insane because any of the trendy vegan cafes or restaurants you probably cant even find anything on the menu for that low of a price.
Such an amazing deal and experience
As someone whos vegan and wants to experience street food and local culture it was so good

Jay Oh Vegetarian - Edit
Very delicious and insanely cheap vegan food. I paid 50 baht for a delicious breakfast, which was only $1.47/£1.17! You can’t go wrong here. The lady running the place was very nice too.

Breakfast of champions - Edit
On my way to a meeting, I took a quick look at the app and spotted Jay Oh—it seemed like a great option. Just five minutes after arriving at Wat Mangkon, I was already enjoying breakfast!
Read moreWhile there’s no English on the menu, it’s not a problem when everything is vegan. I chose a Pad Thai dish, and it didn’t disappoint. Packed with plenty of tofu, chili, and incredibly fragrant Thai basil, it reminded me just how lacking the Thai basil back home can be.
All this, plus a drink, for just 60 baht—an absolute bargain! Highly recommended for anyone in the area.

Interesting location at the end of a small alley. Really nice people running it. The food is cooked to order so you may have to wait a little while as it's being prepared for you. There's an extensive menu with pictures of the available dishes.

Wow! Best Chinese food I have ever had. - Edit
We were visiting Chinatown in Bangkok and looked on Happy Cow for a vegan recommendation. This place is in a little hole in the wall of a side alley. There is good signage showing the way. I had the vegetarian flat rice noodle savory soup. It was out of this world delicious. They have a menu in English/Chinese and also a big picture book where they show you what the item you are interested in looks like. Very little English, but everything worked smoothly. Highly recommend this place!

Fab! - Edit
Having seen the reviews here on HappyCow we headed straight here after a morning visiting the Grand Palace. We were so glad to be able to enjoy some food in China Town without any difficulty finding something vegan. It’s very close to the dark blue metro line and clearly signed with a big overhead banner from the main road, and the owner shouted vegetarian to us when we approached and probably looked a little lost! The menu is available in English with pictures so easy to choose, and good is cooked fresh to order. It took a little time but we ordered just after a group of five. We shared a rice dish and a noodle soup, both were simple and delicious. With a couple of bottles of water and a tip it came to 150 baht. A must when visiting Bangkok!

I quickly searched Happy Cow after wandering the meat-heavy roads of Chinatown. It was the first to pop up. Don’t use the direct link in Happy Cow for directions, it’s slightly wrong. Copy the address into maps. I say outside. Cheap and cheerful. Lovely staff!
