Great food, service and ambiance - Edit
We had breakfast here... It was a perfect combination of classic and innovative. Their plant milks are great, both the almond and oat milks were creamy. We cant comment on the prices for other meals, but breakfast is surprisingly cheap, especially considering the quality of ingredients used. It was cheaper than most normal cafes.

Quality - Edit
Absolutely quality, delicious food. Is expensive however you get what you pay for, and is one of the more high end vegan restaurants available.

Nice brunch spot - Edit
Overall a really nice brunch spot. We had the toasted sandwich and the tofu scramble- both were decent servings and quite tasty. It was very nice and great to see an all vegan place. The service was also attentive.

Delicious vegan fine dining - Edit
Small and cosy restaurant, lovely staff, amazing food and unique twists on what would at first appear to be simple dishes. We went for both dinner and breakfast with my partner. We both loved the food, the service, the added touch of the chef bringing our dish over and explaining what was in it. I was expecting the prices to be on the higher scale after reading some reviews. For a fine dining experience, we both found the prices to be fair and reflecting the value of the products and experience. We will definitely go back!

More unique than most - Edit
Small but this is a good thing as it was much easier to have a conversation with my two (non-vegan) friends. We all enjoyed the meals, including dessert and opted to share everything. We were in early so, being less busy, the chef delivered most of the dishes and explained each one in food connoisseur language. Prices are on the higher end of the scale but I would say for valid reasons (quality, location, good staff) Each dish is clearly infused with compassion.

A touch of reality... - Edit
I can't believe the overall 5 star rating this place has so am adding this review to provide a less rosy picture.
Read moreFirst, let me start with the positives: small but nice looking and cosy. Friendly staff. A lot of their food is local, they're vegan and they put their unique twist on this (at least it's unique so far).
However the food was uninspiring, regardless of how local it was. I was there with two friends and we all agreed: the food was average, if not in some cases, ah.. not so nice.
Prices were higher for food that was lacklustre. Maybe we were unlucky - i usually like to give places a second chance. But why did all 3 of us think the same?
We've talked about going back to give it another try, but like the food, none of us were inspired enough. Plus we didn't want to pay the price for food we might again find lacklustre.
Pros: vegan, small but cosy, friendly staff
Cons: uninspiring, higher prices

Lovely food and service - Edit
The staff at Grown appear very passionate about their work and happy. The service is professional and friendly. The space is open, clean and classy. The food is lovely they have some interesting and delicious takes on a few classics. The food is fresh and tasty. Servings are small and a little pricey, but the quality of food and service outweighs the negatives.

Wow so impressed - Edit
We are from Melbourne and our meal tonight makes us want to fly back here every weekend to eat here again. Such subtleties of flavours and combinations - the head chef Nathan is to be applauded and the whole team here are a delight.

genuinely creative menu - Edit
Great when you're looking for something a bit different from the standard breakfast fare. You can choose anything from this menu and it is ALL vegan. :-) A little tricky to find with GPS, but don't give up, it's tucked underneath the apartment buildings at the intersection with Anthony Street.

Vegan tasting menu - Edit
They host a vegan chef who offers a dinner tasting menu. I believe the tasting menu events take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and you need a reservation.
Read moreWe came for a Tuesday evening and really enjoyed the meal. There were seven courses, and each was fresh, bright, and delicious. The wine pairing is also very nice, as you get a chance to try a lot of wines that you might not find otherwise. Overall, a great experience.

All Grown Up - Edit
This place is slick.
Read moreA concrete and particle board dreamscape.
The service is on form. The coffee is delectable. The food is AMAZING.
Their Hash Brekky alone will shake the foundations that your culinary appreciation is built upon.
They also have new hours and do dinner Wed to Sun 5:30-9pm. I only worry that all meals I've eaten prior to dining here have been a pale and shallow imitation of what they could have been.
Its a regret i'll have to learn to live with.
Pros: service coffee food atmosphere location near marke
Cons: They did not enter your life before this point.

It seems vegan restaurants have a real hip and cool vibe about them and Grown fit right in! We loved the sour dough bread sandwiches- the sauce and tofu was absolutely amazing to taste! Friendly service too! Definitely worth the visit.

Boon for Brisbane - Edit
Wow! This place is fantastic. Finally, Brisbane has a wonderful vegan cafe. Every detail of this place has been perfectly thought out. Beautiful decor, open kitchen, lovely staff and high quality food. All together a wonderful dining experience, thank you, thank you! Presently only open for breakfast and lunch but hope it will one day do dinner. We had the mushroom scrambled tofu, absolutely sublime! And the hash brown, the confit capsicum reduction was delicious and needed to be more of it to make up for the hash brown which would have benefited from a few more herbs added. The drinks are delicious, the Turmeric latte is a must! We had it with coconut milk which made it lovely and sweet. Everything is well priced and small but perfectly sized. Our group of four left feeling great, very healthful food. Well done to the team at Grown. New favourite restaurant!
