Gutes Essen, schlechter Service - Edit

Restaurant owner almost punched me because I told him the food tasted bad - Edit
My partner and I went to the restaurant (after being lured in by a salesman of a water)….worst experience ever in my life. The food was the absolute worst and not edible. We told the owner we would pay for the waters and the pita bread we ate, but we would not pay for the rest of the dinner because we did not eat it since it was so gross (pasta actually looked like cat food). Then the owner started yelling at us for “offending him” by saying the food was bland. He wouldn’t let us leave and said he would call the police, while also clinching his teeth and looking like he was about to punch me. To end the argument, we paid the 40 euro so we could just go home, but now wishing I didn’t give them any money. I hope their restaurant fails and goes bankrupt. Absolute scammers. Oh and the Greek menu is cheaper than the English menu, just as a cherry on top. (Their idea of a tourist premium)

Very few vegan options - Edit
I went to this restaurant because of the good reviews here but I was disapointed to see that they no longer have the options I expected.
Read moreThey have a vegetarian menu with 5 options (one of which are french fries..), the vegan options are not even labelled.

Great ambiance! - Edit
We loved that this restaurant had a vegan menu making it very easy to order! We got the hot peppers (which were amazing and very very spicy!), pita bread (also excellent), the ariabatta linguine (which was huge) and the Neapolitan linguine. It was a great deal especially considering the great view of the harbor!

Average - Edit
Visited after reading the HC reviews.
Read moreGood portion sizes and nice location.
Dolmades were salty.
Green salad was basically a bag of greens mixed with soya sauce (yes soya sauce!).I was charged 4e for asking for some extra tomatoes! The cucumber was all dried up.
Fava dip and pitta bread were ok.
Worth a visit but I wouldn't rush back.

Nice place, but the vegan menu isn't actually vegan! Be careful - Edit
I asked for the vegan menu and ordered the stuffed zucchini flowers. They brought it with yoghurt and when I asked what the white sauce was, I had to ask many times if it was dairy yoghurt until they told me that it was and that the vegan dishes (separated in the menu) are sometimes vegetarian😡So just be careful!

this is the kind of place i would recommend to everyone that visits chania, regardless of being vegan or vegetarian. food was absolutely amazing (that roasted eggplant will be forever in my heart) and it's located by the pretty blue greek water at the harbour. and the staff was as lovely as it could be. i honestly wish i had this back home.

Definitely go! - Edit
Asked for the off menu vegan risotto was really nice. Humus and Fava were great and the home made pita was dreamy. Their local Hava lager was very smooth and tasty. All for a fair price too. Service was great

So nice! - Edit
The waitress was happy to explain which options were vegan, of which there were quite a few! Had pita bread and hummus for starters. The most delicious hummus I’ve tasted, wish we had that back home. The risotto was delicious too. Definitely recommend for vegans 🌱

Lovely vegan lunch next to the water - Edit
Walked around Chania and came here for lunch after seeing other reviews. We walked in and started looking at menu and a waiter came over and we said we are vegan, he knew some of the vegan items but got what seemed like the owner/manager who showed us every vegan item on menu and what things could be made vegan by removing feta e.c.t. They also had a vegan risotto that wasn't on the menu as well! The food was lovely and the location was beautiful as well, there was also a local cat that was chilling out next to our table as you can see in the photos! Would recommend if you like the look of our meal it was very filling!

Excellent find for a weary vegan family! - Edit
Excellent little restaurant in a gorgeous harbourside spot, staff were fabulous and very keen to accommodate our mixed table (half vegan, half non), happy to point our everything vegan on the menu and also that they had an off menu vegan risotto available which was delicious, and very 'Greek' in flavour! Would absolutely return.

Nice place - Edit
I liked the place, and the food was delicious, I got the stuffed grape/vine leaves, it tasted amazing, but I don't think that a full grown person would feel full after a plate of those. There isn't a lot of different vegan options - but the stuff that's there taste really really good!!

Pros: Very delicious food, Friendly and understanding waiters, Food arrives quickly
Cons: Not a lot of vegan options (about 3-4 I believe), I was still a little hungry after eating there

Tasty vegan options - Edit
Great restaurant situated in the less hectic part of the old harbor in Chania. The atmosphere of the place is a pleasant mix of modern and traditional. We visited the place as a couple and got a bunch of starters to split between the two of us: Baked potatoes, grilled mushrooms, stuffed vine leaves and pita bread. Everything went very well together and had a very fresh taste, with seasoning coming quite a lot from lemon juice and olive oil. The stuffed wine leaves were the best I've ever had! Overall a really good experience.

I would give 5 stars - Edit
Wonderful place, I am vegan and the guy that served me had fabulous English and even made a dish up for me to have off the menu, (mushroom risotto). There's a vegetarian section with a good few options and the appetisers section has loads so you can have a few nibble bits, the fava with caramelised onions was amazing!!

Lovely setting on the East end of the harbor with delicious "biologico" food! - Edit
Just had a delicious lunch with 4 vegan dishes and one vegetarian one for my companion. We had the fava with carmelized onions (nice touch!), oven cooked hot peppers in olive oil with mashed garlic (v hot and tasty), grilled mushrooms, grilled mushrooms and then a cheese pie that my companion said was top notch! They offered whole fruit with a knife and a sweet wine as a complementary lunch dessert on this hot summer day. Delightful!
