First time it happens to me ever. I went into the restaurant during working hours , sat down , another couple entered as well . Only for the waitress to tell us that the kitchen is closed and when we exclaimed she told us the chef is not feeling well and he can’t cook anymore today, she directed us to her other restaurant Taj Mahal.
Read moreI told her I was looking forward to this meal because Indian used to be my favorite cuisine but since i became vegan I can’t enjoy most of the dishes because of the butter and yogurt used almost in every dish. The couple left , and I took my time in the restaurant researching other options to go to . A few moments later the waitress came to tell me that it is ok now . The chef has taken some medicine and will cook me my meal. To be honest my expectations were very low at this point. A sick chef who wants to leave might not produce the best dishes, but to my surprise he produced one of the best tikka masalas I have tried ( tofu) and samosas . Excellent food , excellent service, can’t wait to go back to try more dishes.

If you are vegan and seeing Bruges, this is your lifeboat - Edit
Food was great here. Vegan options are clearly marked, which is heavenly. I had a tofu tikka masala and some chapatis which were very nice. Garlic N Greens made our night in Bruges much easier, plus we avoided eating more frites this way.

this restaurant is literally heaven on earth. it has a ton of vegan options and every meal comes with a bowl of rice. i got the tofu tikka masala (medium spice) and the garlic fried “bread” and everything was truly delicious.

Small place but if you are vegan you will be super happy to find so many options. We, 3 of us,went there for lunch and dinner on the same day and had completely different starters and mains. Owners are nice people and a bit disorganized so you may have to wait a while during dinner but we’ll worth it. I loved the balance of spices and flavor profile.

The curry's were very tasty. 4 stars for a huge vegan menue. The portion sizes were very good. For a medium it could have been spicier to my taste. The garlic bread was very delicious, but you just get one single piece for 4€. Therefore, and because the service was very reserved, not 5 Stars.

Die Bedienung war sehr nett, allerdings dauerte es ein bisschen zu lange dafür, dass nicht viel los war.

Read moreHad poppadoms with vegan dips (chutney and raita), tofu masala, spinach Dahl (asked for hot and it was so spicy but really tasty), 2 x chapati’s and given a big bowl of complimentary rice.
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it and was nice to have somewhere with tons of vegan options which isn’t that common in Bruges.

Read moreThe pappadams were flavourless, the chana masala was overpowered with tomato sauce and had no heat despite asking for medium, and the salad was two slices of carrots and two slices of cucumbers. Pakoras were battered and deep fried slabs of tofu served with something very close to ketchup. It felt as though it was Indian food made by white people (although I cook Indian a lot and it’s better than this).
I’ve had a lot of Indian in my day and this was very mediocre. It filled me up so it gets 3 stars but I’m feeling generous. For a lunch special the wait was painstakingly slow and I was one of only three people there.
Must have been an off day!

Amazing Authentic Indian - Edit
We went there with a group of five. Some vegans, some vegetariens, some meateaters. Service was lovely. The food was very good. It looked fabulous and tasted even better. I had no time to take pictures, because the smell was sooooo good we just had to start! We all left with warm round bellies! I would really recommend this place.
